I hope you have a decent supply, as it's only gonna get worse from here 🗿 You guys' comment made my day though, thank you for the great experience and still being so active with the community
That mechanic was amazing and innovative imo, I really felt Like I couldn't read and when I finally could - I still needed a little more time for some words cuz my skill was too Low. Also I had a Latin class in school (as like an extra two-three hours more than everyone else every week) of which I thought I wouldn't need it anytime again in my life - but it helped me in this game, so it was definitely absolutely worth my time the whole 4 years
Dude I started playing in 2020, and that was way too late. I’m still playing. It truly is one of the best games I’ve ever played. It blows my mind that this game was made by an independent, crowdfunded studio. Absolutely unreal.
I have slowly but surely started appreciating lockpicking, partly because my complaints about it were an attempt at humor, but primarily because every comment about lockpicking I've received went something like " wtf is wrong with you, lockpicking is amazing" 💀
I play on PS4 and I got good at lock picking when I realized there was a setting where I could push a button to rotate the tumbler at a steady pace. Then I just focused on keeping the dot in the sweet spot and it became easy.
KCD is still one of my favorite games :) edit: also for new players, do the lessons with the sword trainer guy until you get to masterstrikes. THIS IS A REQUIREMENT to avoid combat being a total nightmare
I one day wanna make a RPG tier list after making some more videos, and KCD will definitely be in the upper end of the list. And yeah, that guy is a G. He prevented me from getting my ass handed to me on multiple occasions with his lessons
Holy crap you could not have said it any better. I miraculously made it all the way to fighting runt up in the cathedral Loft kept getting my ass kicked and didn't realize I had a bunch of skill points to redeem. Even then I still couldn't kick his ass. I had to load the game to a prior file to that Privitzlavitz siege, go back and train with Bernard then go back and start that mission. That is precisely why I dropped the game and didn't touch it for about two years then I picked it up again and finally beat it
@@gucciguy3408 almost every enemy can riposte, and combat against harder opponents such as tournament mfs generally mean that combat is a patience game on who gets riposted first because it's super hard to combo them. Late game, combat is gonna be extremely boring when every bandit is a robber baron and you still can't riposte because otherwise the quickest way to win a fight would be on horseback.
I just forced myself to always look slightly up and to the left of Henry's hand and that's 50% of the time where the arrows landed, managed to get kinda decent at it like that
Strangely enough, the drunk build is the most OP build. Getting blackout drunk is a 50/50 roll of the dice, you either randomly find a lot of gold or in a situation you're going to die in
@@REALVINERGY if you want to win at dice just steal all the lucky dice from people, hide them in your box so they won't be removed when you get searched by guards, the stolen tag will disappear depending on their worth
when People Call games underated Like Sleeping Dogs, Bully and various other games that are highly rated but just underlooked. Kingdom come is truly an underated game its by far one of the best open world game out there. Really does not get enough.
I totally get where you're coming from, I made a ( pretty mediocore ) video months ago about that Mad Max game, as everyone was suddenly saying it was "underrated." Like, no, it was fairly rated, as it was just an okay game, pretty fun but very repetitive. But, Kingdom Come sold over 5 million copies and won over 30 global awards. It's one of the better RPGs I've played in recent years, I dunno if I'd go as far calling it underrated. I do like the approach you take on it though, saying certain games are underlooked. It's a term you almost never hear, as people wanna place everything in the "under/overrated" category.
@@REALVINERGY I agree I Think Mad max was an adverage open world it has the issues that allot opens have were it forces you to Do a bunch or repetitve tasks to get to the next story beat. played when first came out and had good memories of it but did not remember why I stopped playing. got it again on PS Plus and it became clear why I did not finish it. People talk about How they love how empty the game is but its still a game at the end of the day. If you are making an open world it needs to be interesting to explore Look at tge fallout games for exsample. I think Kingdom Is one of thr few cases were critics Got it Wrong allot of the Critiques come down to the game being to realstic Which is silly as that is the goal of the game. Games need to be reviewed based on what they try to achieve then give you thoughts on if you feel the game has achieved it. But games like Days Gone I feel is fairly rated I can see why it got low scores due to its ubisoft formula. Even Ghost of Tushimia as much as I loved it I feel the 83 on meta was fair.
@@REALVINERGY I the reason I call it underated is the metacritic score I feel it should be in the high 80s with All the Bug fixes I would put it at a 90. It can still improve but its close to perfect for the type of game it is.
@@John-996 I definitely agree on the "Games need to be reviewed based on what they try to achieve"! Game devs got stuck in the entire "bigger = better" ideology recently ( or, well, the publishers did, the developers probably know a lot better ) and now most people are getting kinda sick of open world stuff. Funnily enough, Days Gone is on my backlog of games I wanna make a video about, as I thought it was the most overrated, mediocre game I've played in years when I first played it. Maybe I'll look back at it differently whenever I retry it, but from what I remember it was just the Ubisoft formula with even more bugs and an even less interesting story
@@REALVINERGY Days gone has some great open world system's the Hoards are done well and seeing a bear, Mountain lion, Zombie , wolf's and humans all fight is cool but you get that in ubisoft games of course allot games even ones that are great open worlds like Witcher 3 are really not that dynamic but they do not always have to be. Days gone really lacks in its side content and exploration. Story is also not Amazing it has good parts buts not a most play. Ghost Of Tushimia is Sonys best open world but even that is lacking in terms of the base game exploration and having vaierty in side quests and activites. You do Not always need an open World unless you are Bethanda, Rockstar, Warhorse and even CD Project even Though they fucked up Cyberpunk they were still ambitious with it allot devs lack that Ambition.
Definitely one of the best games I've ever played. I love how in-depth it is, I really hope they make a part 2. Despite all the bugs in it it is a very well-thought-out game with so much potential
I'm still planning on revisiting it soon, might make a 1k subscriber special as this video " blew up " my channel a lot. Might throw some mods at it, make it a bit of a challenge, we'll see :)
I have a theory that the algorithm doesn't really like my swearing and jokes about sex and murder etc. which is why my videos get such irregular views lol but we'll get there soon, I'm sure of it Appreciate your comment 💯
@@REALVINERGY At the same time YT has its priviledged groups whose videos aren't demonetized for that so... yeah YT is quite unfair. Alternatives are Rumble and Nebula
Appreciate it brother. It might make for a fun playthroughs for your streams? It's one of those games that goes from 0 to 100 within seconds with the bugs and the ambushes
Combat is one of the best mechanics in the game. And the best of any RPG I ever played, because it's more realistic. Especially on hardcore mode, when they will truly use their numbers advantage against you. Just like in real life, even if you are well trained, if you have to face several opponents at the same time, you are 50 shades of f*cked.
It does make you consider options more, true. Instead of just running into a group of people hoping for the best, you have to think " do I really think I can take them " lol
@@REALVINERGY Yes, and it does give you the feeling that you are not like Geralt or the Dragonborn, or some other supernatural hero of a fantasy novel. But just a simple man, who has normal human limits.
@@fransthefox9682 I still think the automatic lock-on system blows, I personally would've preferred just being able to strike " freely " in whatever direction I choose, but nonetheless, I agree with the rest
@@MedioCore Looking forward to the Elden Ring one, checked out some of your content, I like it. My Elden Ring video also did pretty decent as everybody is still in love with it, even a year after its release 🤷♂️
This game has the highest player learning curve I have experienced to this day. It’s so satisfying to go from a peasant scrub to an actual badass knight. But you never become superhuman. Even at late game with top skills and gear, if 3 decent bandits gang up on you, you can still get absolutely butchered.
You won’t regret it! Just a bit of advice.. It may get frustrating trying to learn skills and combat. But I’m telling you, stick with it. It’s very rewarding when you start getting it.
there is a sequel coming out. It's the most historically accurate game ever made. Daniel Vavra has a reputation for making realistic games, such as his 2001 classic Mafia : City of Lost heaven
One of the best games ever! Being a RPG player but not playing KCD is indeed inexcusable. The game is absolutely amazing, incredibly immersive, realistic (perhaps too much) and still very beautiful. I have to admit tho it can be very frustrating sometimes, I recommend using mod for saving. Combat is also... unique. Ending is quite disappointing, too many things are left unfinished for the next game. But again, the game is so brilliant all these minor flaws are just a nuisance.
90% of RPGs are set in either a medieval setting, a nuclear wasteland or space and I personally love the ones in historical medieval settings the most so I can totally see why it's your favorite.
@REALVINERGY Exactly but what makes KCD special game is attention to details and immersion and how realistic it is. The World is alive and everything will happen with or without Henry. You're not the one pushing the world forward, all you can do is try to keep up. And the fact that for the majority of the game you are a nothing more than a squire (at the best) is fantastic. I also know that @warhorseStudios had much bigger plans for the game which makes me hopeful and eager for the next KCD!
You've given it a fair shake. I'll definitely have to give this game a spin. I briefly watched someone playing hardcore mode recently, so if you do play it; I recommend with every negative perk at once. It looked "very" fun.
I think I watched a bit of the same RU-vidr, and yeah, it looked like absolute torture, but in a good way. I'm definitely giving it a spin soon after wrapping up the last content in my "normal" playthrough
The release really wasn't that bad. I remember yeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaars ago at Gamescon in Germany playing a bit and i was sold. When it released I remeber the bugs but it was mostly solved in a few weeks. What a 10/10 game
I just saw the " bad " reviews at release and forgot about the game, until I saw how involved the devs were being still years after release and decided to give it a go. Nonetheless, I'm sure people were exaggerating, but the reviews weren't looking too peachy ( the ones at release, at least )
the only bug that was getting super annyoing was not being able to go through the executioniers doors. for some reason once inside the doors forgot how to be doors and won't let you out. xD
Hardcore mode gives a way better feel to the whole game, I think that its the way how its meant to be played. No compass, not a lot of map info, no UI for the most part. And I think they're on the works for the second part, so get that wallet ready
I mostly agree, it's just a shame that we can't handpick our hardcore mechanics. I'd love to permanently play this game on hardcore difficulty, but no fast travel is just a huge dealbreaker to me
that weird realization that you have more subs than the channel you've been watching for 8 min. Great video dude. I'm not a dragon age man myself, and I followed this game from it's inception as I'm a big fan of Daniel Vavra
I'll race you to 5k 😛 thank you, looking back at it this video was just great, the pace and editing flow very well and the Kingdom come delivery community has been very supportive. Looking forward to the sequel a lot
working on getting my first horse by killing games in the woods and selling them to the local tavern. to train my archery skill as making money. was one of the most rewarding things despite the fact it was long process. this game literally taught me the meaning of "get off your high horse" idiom. because i actually felt far better than the normal peasant for owning a horse.
going to be honest, don't understand the trouble people have with lockpicking in this game, I play on ps4 and never thought it was that hard, slightly anoying at times sure, but those moments were somewhat uncommon.
I think the archery in the game is fun. Real life archers who have played the game say the archery is the most realistic in any game out there. This one time, I was being attacked by a bandit in full plate armor and I drew my bow and shot at him. The arrow went into the eye slot in the visor and killed the guy in one shot. I still cant believe I scored a shot like that. I will admit aiming the bow is super hard at first. But once you figure out how to look down the arrow to see where it will fly (the way real life archers aim), hitting humans or deer at long range becomes easy. Though rabbits I still need to be pretty close to hit still. And I cant change the bow or arrow I am shooting with cause it will mess up my aim since all the bows and arrows shoot differently.
In hindsight, you are absolutely correct. I obviously roasted the archery for "comedic purposes" but all jokes aside, it's fun to try and learn to "shoot" without a reticle constantly showing you were arrows will end up. As for the bandit story; that's so great about this game. Even though the main and side quests are fun enough on their own, it's often the things you experience at random that will stay with you as long as you can remember.
The only thing I missed about the archery is that there weren't any perks as you level up (there is only one in the drunkness skill tree). For example: draw faster but with less force; or shots cause more bleeding; or you can upgrade regular arrows to better arrows etc.
omg i remember riding on my horse in this game, and the sun was shining, and the birds where chirping, i saw a deer run by, and i was like "this is such a nice game" then the clouds rolled in, the rain started and the thunder and lightning, "omg...this game is the best" i immediately forgot about my quest and just started riding through the fields
One of my few complains about this game is how little activities there are " on the road " but other than that, the moment you described has happened to me multiple times as well and it's really amazing, hopefully they can add some more stuff to watch out for in the wilderness in the sequel!
@@REALVINERGY i really hope so, i'd love to see more games like kingdom come if not a direct sequel, oh it'd be really neat to have one in the high middle ages where you can use mounted combat, and more sophisticated weapons that'd be awesome
My little KCD Story and why you should give it another chance if you played it the first time shortly after release and stopped playing, during the first 2-3 hours or in case you have never played it* *Option 1: You stopped playing during the first 2-3 hours.* Back in 2020, I started playing and while it was somewhat interesting it was also frustrating and just a lot of walking and talking. So I stopped playing when I arrived at Talmberg. I didn't play it for 2 years before I gave it another shot and realized, that right after that segment in Talmberg the actual game is just beginning! Seriously, it takes around 3 hours in, until intro credits appear! After that part where I stopped playing you get on your first horse, get your first real mission and suddenly this amazing open world, one of the most immersive, realistic, and naturally beautiful ones, opens up to you! If you like me stopped playing during the first 3 hours which are actually just a tutorial and the prologue-give it another chance! This is a unique gaming experience. *Option 2: You never played it and why you are missing out* *Atmosphere* . This is such a complex and atmospheric game in many ways. The world feels very realistic and alive. In 30 years of gaming, I haven't played anything like it, and I never had such an immersive gaming experience in an RPG. Never before have I walked through an open world that felt so natural. Hunting alone, to feed yourself and earn some Groschen is rather difficult and intense. Never before had I so much joy with a "simple" task as hunting in a game. Sneaking through the woods, following game, the only sounds being the wind and the birds, is a rewarding and meditative experience. The nature in KCD adds a lot to the outstanding atmosphere, and chances are that you have never experienced nature that just felt so “natural” in a game before. Everything you do in this game has weight. Every decision can have severe consequences. *Fighting* and why KCD being laborious is a good thing. First: fighting in KCD is difficult. VERY difficult. And frustrating. For the first third of the game, you will feel more like a punching ball than a knight, even less like a hero. But this will change and when it does, when you slay your first group of bandits with elegance and force, you will feel like a real badass because you know what it took you to get there. In conclusion, you won't fight every fight like in any other RPG - because in KCD it will cost you! Apart from later in the game when you can relatively easily handle a 3 men group of bandits, you will get hurt during fights. And you can't just drink a health potion and everything is fine. You can use potions, but you have to buy them and for quite some time they are very expensive, and they won't instantly heal your injuries and not on their own. You also need bandages to stop bleeding. Otherwise, you will just bleed out. Long before you die from bleeding out, you won't be able to fight anymore and are an easy victim to any bandit. You can craft potions yourself, but you will need to buy or learn the recipe first and collect the necessary herbs for it. Crafting potions is more complex than in any other game ever and takes time. Furthermore, you might have to find a place to lie down after a fight to heal. And even if you fought well and didn't get a single scratch, you will need to repair and clean your armour, sharpen your weapons, sew your garments and wash yourself clean from blood and dirt. Or you just die during a fight, and that could mean getting set back quite a bit if you didn't use a save potion shortly before the fight. But save potions are also very expensive in the first third of the game. So in general, you don't take risks lightly, which enormously adds to the width of your actions and decisions. When most games are just about being comfortable, the developers showed with KCD that it can be a good thing if a game is laborious and uncomfortable in some places. When I brewed a Savior Snaps for the first time and realised after the second failed attempt that I was actually just trying to save my game for the last 10 minutes, I had to laugh out loud. Because as laborious as it is, it gives the player's actions meaning that you can't save so easily while a single fight against one bandit could still kill you. And never have I used the fast travel function in a game so rarely. Why would I want to rush through this amazing world? So, off to Bohemia!
I love how in this game you start off on everyone’s level and some are disrespectful but as you get better gear they’ll start calling you a knight and they’ll be really respectful lol
To be fair, I had it in my library for some time before I tried it properly, only to find that I enjoyed it immensely. It's the direction I want more RPG games to travel.
I love it when that happens. Happens way more often that I finally try a game I've been sitting on for years only to hate everything about it within the first hour of playing
The game is a 10/10 if you can live with a few kinks it has. Its one of a few games i play basicly once a year (atleast), especially once you get good at the game (+train ingame up to a certain degree). As a noob i used to play normal mode in full plate armor with shield offhand .... man those innocent days.
Small channel, good quality sound and editing, entertaining and a bit of stupid humor as a nice addition How do you only have 570 + 1 subscibers so far?
thank you 👉👈 I'm glad this video is still performing well after such a long time, it was my favorite one to make and the KKD community absolutely adores this game
Ive just completed the game, ive spend loads of time just doing things the game doesnt want you to do 😊, which is fun. I cant wait for the next game, super hyped. great video dude 👍
the story was perfect for the setting... they basically took a few months worth of intrigue and nobles disputing over *insert territory* and then turned it into a game.. I would not be surprised if they actually just plucked something directly out of history but was obscure enough to not get noticed.
It's also quite refreshing compared to what we normally get in RPGs; " The BlarghLar race tried to invade this and that planet but the HurpDurp clan fought back leading to a divided continent and bla bla ", that's cool and all but it makes all of those races and worlds totally unrelatable
3:40 while using a bow is admittedly difficult, it's just a matter of training. I spent so much time on hunting to earn some Groschen that I became rather good at it. If you can hit these tiny jumpy rabbits from a distance, you will hit a Cuman storming at you easily. ;)
I for one, think it's more fun being a bow sharpshooter. True, it requires a bit of practice and leveling. But nothing beats riding slowly around in circles on your horse, while the helpless bandits fall dead to the ground, one by one, from all the poisoned arrows you fired into them. And when you get that one head-shot right, it's a sight of beauty!
I think Hardcore is a must, but glad you enjoyed it regardless. I loved no being able to see myself on the map and actually having to navigate. No bow reticle was a great choice too, people are just used to having their hand held.
I was following the game frm early development, but my Pc died in 2017 so i didnt play it until about 2021. I had fun but was disappointed. The big problem was what they promised back in 2014, vs what they delivered. They promised a HUGE world, cities, possibly pitched battles, or at least noble skirmishes. A breathing world, and breathing economy. Most importantly, much more hardcore combat. What we got was good. But you need about 12 mods to fix the balance so the game even with the hardest difficulty settings on becomes hard. It was supposed to b very hard to hit a riposte, instead the devs made it easy so you hit a riposte with most blocks. Economy was supposed to be brutal, but after about 5 hours in game you are rich Franky, the game felt like a Beta of what they promised in 2014. I get it, it was ambitious, and the financial backer demanded they release it in 2018 to recoup his investment. Still there was a huge disparity between wat was promised and delivered. I still like the game. I might play it again with all the fun mods (Put on no slow mo to start, then less ripostes, harder blocks, harder economy, more powerful archery) WHn Henry's defenc and warfare skills level up, the "window" to hit riposte's increases a lot. So that's why you riposte everything by mid game. WIth the mods, it makes ripostes incredibly hard to pull off early game, like you might have a rattay tourney duel for 10 minutes and pull off 1-2 if you're lucky. It also returns perfect blockign to what the devs said it would be, Cursor on the correct angle to block plus timing. So you get these sexy duels of trading swings and perfect blocks back and forth. You earn that duel victory. It is really hard and you will run from most fights until late game. You can't just cheeze the rattay tourny for money and nice gear too. Each win feels big. Your gear gets damaged faster, so it is expensive to have bad fights. Getting a tavern house is now $500 groschen, not $60. The best horses are appropriately priced. The village simulator dlc no longer pays you out $2k per day.
I remember a guy I hung out with in high school was hyped beyond believe for this game, crazy to think all those years ago there was already a following for this game I'm currently playing through Cyberpunk and it gives off the same vibe; could've been huge ( and a lot of things were promised ) but in the end, only a fraction of it was delivered
@@REALVINERGY Yeah. But KCD delivered in a certain way. The first 2-3 hours are AMAZING. You can tell they set that up so well. The plot however feels way too shallow as the game progresses. the dlc's help save it, but even then, the first 3 hours of the game are fire, and the first 10 hours you play the game are amazing. Rattay though was meant to be the starter town. AS it turns out it is the biggest town in the game. it was meant to be such a bigger and better game.
@@elyastoohey6621 Guess the hype got too big, and they ended up overpromising things. Which is no excuse, whatsoever, but nonetheless, we still got a great game out of it, and I'm happy with how it holds up. It'll always be a shame that it didn't reach its full potential, but hey, maybe the sequel will be 'perfect'
@@realtimvollert Thank you, I'll use your channel as German practise, as mein Deutsch im moment sehr slecht ist 💀 I like the content you make though, especially the " Warum müssen wir sterben " video. Listening to your video was very pleasent, not only because you're calm and collected, but also because you speak very cleary, which helps someone like me who barely speaks German. Subbed :)
It’s too bad that fast travel is a dealbreaker for you, because in hardcore mode your enemies become almost twice as aggressive when you are out numbered. It reminds me of the half life AI.
I'm going through it atm on Hardcore mode, with how many people I've had messaging me that it's supposed to be great I figured I'd have to give it another go
@@REALVINERGY I’m glad you did. Everything feels like it was meant to be played this way. I recommend my friends 100% the game, their first play through, on normal difficulty. That way they can experience everything the game has to offer, once… and if they enjoy it, they can play it again on hard-core without being anxious of “missing something”. In my opinion, the game isn’t necessarily meant to be 100% completed, on hardcore. When you go on a long journey, you actually have to plan out your trip… find suitable hunting grounds on the way… avoid bandit camps and wanted-areas… etc. I was worried that I’d be checking the map every 10 seconds but it really isn’t that way at all. You look at the map… And you’re forced to use the time of day and the lay of the land to navigate. I think I actually used the map LESS during my hard-core play through.
Great review, funny but still informative. KCD in hardcore mode is in my TOP3 best games ever, with TW3 and RDR2 (this trio overtook Fallout 2, Deus Ex and Bloodlines..).
@@REALVINERGY I never played it in normal mode, hardcore just attracted me too much specifically with the lack of GPS, finally a game where I managed to get lost in the woods at night and it was actual struggle just to get back to civilization, what a novel concept
when i first played i punched a horses bum to test if this game was realistic as they claimed. the horse ran away instead of kicking me as i imagined what would happen and instead its owner along with 2 ppl came and beat the shit out of me in front of everyone in the village. when i surrendered they made me pay but i had no money so i told them i was in service of the king which was successful and they have pardoned me for it. then i fell in love with he game on sight

i played this a few months ago and its one of the first games Ive sat down and played start to 100% completion in a very long time.. few quality if life mods from nexus and i could not put it down.
Ive learned to cheese the Ambushes amd random encounters. On Horseback and some skill with the bownyou can imitate bow calvery and stay just out of their reach while sending punushment through their armour.
there's a lot of ways to do each quest/ sidequest and i really like that. often i just found it out by myself and it was awesome. like when i was tasked to scout and sneak around the cuman/bandit camp you could dress up like a cuman face mask and all and they wouldn't be suspicious and they would try to talk to you in their tounge and you obviously wouldn't understand what they were saying and henry had multiple options to respond. i dont think the game told you you could do that.
Mastering the bow without the reticle is about 10 thousand times more rewarding than downloading a mod or having the game tell you exactly where to aim in general. filthy casuals :D
the main criticism of lockpicking almost universally is that it is far too easy on keyboard and mouse to the point that most players never break a single lockpick and this dude comes out of left field and says its too hard?????
Im happy you brought up problems with multiple enemies combat. Yes, it should be difficult, but in a different way. Irl you have like 190° angle of vision, but in videogames it tends to be like half? Or even less? Thats why enemies can strike you from the side very easily. If somebody sprinted past me when my sword is at the ready they might get stabbed, but in the game they can do it no problem.
True, can't think of any games in which mechanics like that already function properly though, where running into a weapon actually damages someone. Maybe VR games?
I think all rpg's should have a movement mechanic similar to tarkov. mouse wheel to set speed, from a very very slow walk to a jog, but with shift still being reserved for sprint (or whatever key you map)
@@REALVINERGY I don't love the game, but its movement controls are great. The mouse wheel scroll can speed/slow your movement speed between 10 options, allowing the control of an analog stick with more precision. It should be adopted by more pc games. &I hate when your character can't walk the same speed as an NPC lol
@@d_ruggs I have an analog mechanical keyboard, which already replicates that idea fortunately, but I agree that more games should implement that mechanic instead of just giving us a " press (...) to toggle walk/run " key
I finished the game on hardcore mode and I have to say it was a challenge. The combat wasn't the worst... you need to be able to know where you in game, are without returning to the map because there is no marker to show where you are in the world. Have fun. Re: your feeling on bows in combat... wear very light gear so you're faster than the enemy, stay out of weapons length and bow them as they come after you. The AI funnels enemies as they chase you and are nicely lined up for head shots.
@@adolfomonrreal8985 Yeah fair, even though I must say that Skalitz worked great as an intro to the game. It shows all of the game mechanics ( as a tutorial should ) but it also indirectly shows you " you are not the hero buddy ", so if you try to fight your way out of it, you'll most likely die over and over again. With that being said, there's a video somewhere on YT of a guy killing every Cuman at the start of Skalitz, but that's an exception lol
Solid review. I’ve just discovered the game myself and am blown away by it. Feels like it was really made with care and is uniquely rewarding, unlike many games today which feel quite bland and watered down. Also think there’s big potential in a sequel.
You've just got to practice with the bow. I hunted and XP farned at a sheep farm for a couple hours. You start to pose sway around level 5 or 6 and that makes it much easier. You get used to the aiming as well. A lot of this gane you have to practice as Henry would. There is a huge skill curve.
Me too! Wonder how they'll approach the story though, dunno if playing as Henry is gonna have the same impact now that he's not a simple peasant anymore
@@REALVINERGY I mean henry does have a defined mission and place, not to mention the real history of the time means early handcannon are going to show up and a few people are going to die. Poor henry might remain a peasant after all.
Lock picking with a controller is nearly impossible. If you fail lock picking with a mouse and keyboard, you need to check if your frontal lobe is intact lol
@@REALVINERGYThe first chest I picked was in the armoury in the second city when you have to sneak out. I was playing with a controller, and it was AGONIZING but on the end I was able to get it. Then I tried with mkb and was like "damn! This is easy!"
My main issue were impassable bushes creating walls for no reason and you spin the roulette on wheter you get stucked on them when jumping over having to reload. Also when you get good at the combat you can deal with multiple oponents but it involves a lot of kiting and chokepoint usage but yea at the beggining of the game when your Henry sucks at fighting and has no armor he gets analed by a mob of pesants with pitchforks. Also Lock picking and archery is fine. Sucks to suck.
I recently bought it on sale, and even though my laptop can barely run it on 15 fps, I've been having fun grtting thrown in prison for punching a guy in frustration after losing a game of dice.
My only problem with the game is ehrn its loading sometimes it just loads for 1 hour so i have to replay the mission just to be stuck in 1 hour loading screen again
Absolute top tier content, wasn’t until I read a comments about having less than 1k subs I realised. Quality of the video is easily better than a lot of channels that do similar style videos with 100k+ subs
@@rivefall6845 Thank you!! I'm certain that if I keep grinding out videos at a decent rate of say 1 or 2 a month, that I might hit 1k this year, and then we'll see from there, something like a 100k seems like a weird distant dream at this point haha
