He has to tell you about Dragunov's Command Grab, His options in Heat, Staple Combo, etc. Edit: As much as I appreciate him growing, there is only so much he can do using the same string as is, he eventually has to leave the birds nest and discover what Drag can really do (unbreakable throw in heat instead of spamming heat smash) if he truly wants to grow with Drag. That, and finding other strings to use with Drag in case his opponents adapt to his simple mixup.

Just right off the bat, if you need tips from Dragunov main since tekken 5: don't use combo starters like df2 as long as you don't know any combos (they're punishable), don't spam ws2 after every d2 (it's punishable too, ws4 would suit you better for now), your heat makes you stronger, don't waste it immediately on heat smash every time, use while running 2 (it's one of your key pressure tools, you gain advantage even when the opponent blocks it), new db3+4 move is a good chunky low, use it sometimes.

13:09 both kick buttons to get up like that. Good option for people that are aggressive and don't block. Another good option when you're in a corner is either punch button when you hit the ground. It'll do a quick side roll that can get you out of corner combos.

You know what would be a really good idea? It would be to maybe check out some high level footage of the character you play on stream (since it seems you learn better from watching someone else do something) it’s really good to get an understanding of what you are supposed to do when you play. Would also be very useful as chat could pitch in and explain some of the things you’re seeing other people do. Also finally as a piece of immediate gameplay advice. You wanna control the pace of the match and you’ve been doing an alright job at forcing offense. The only thing you struggle with currently that I feel would benefit you to work on right now would definitely be to better understand what you’re supposed to do in neutral (when you and your opponent are out of range of each other’s attacks and trying to get in to beat the other’s ass) and on defense (when ur getting your ass beat). In neutral. You have to use your longer range buttons a lot more and play a little more patiently when you are up against an opponent (it seems to be those long range kicks you like to do with him a lot.) and on defense. Play a lot more patiently. What this means is to basically look for an opening in your opponent’s attacks (most of the time this is after they commit to a really big move or have a pause in their attacks) in order to look for those opening you have to either press one of your really fast moves or use your armored attacks to interrupt what attack the opponent is going for (when I say armor attacks I’m usually referring to things like your heat burst move or other attacks that draganov has to blow through attacks) And finally. Some more bits of slightly more advanced advice. When you were fighting the last opponent they were ducking your attacks. This is really effective when you see the opponent likes going for highs as high moves will always miss. The best way to beat someone ducking is to go for overhead or mid attacks (if you go in training mode the game will usually tell you what move is which but an example would be that big overhead slam attack that you used on accident sometimes in the video that you got hit out of a lot, and that uppercut that dragonov does, or one of his horizontal kicking moves.) Also, finally, don’t overextend. (What this means is basically starting a combo where there was no combo to begin with. to elaborate further, it means that when you see the opponent blocking you shouldn’t be doing extremely unsafe moves like that uppercut that dragonov has or his slower options as that makes it easy for the opponent to interrupt them.) You’re doing really well Afro and I’m loving this kind of content your doing. For fighting games and the like, the fundamentals and things you learn over one game will typically transition smoothly into other kinds of player vs player fighting games, even if you go from tekken to something different like street fighter. So if you ever get off of tekken in the future for whatever reason or decide you’d like to sip your toe into other things like it I’d love to see you do this with other fighting games out there. And I’m totally sure your viewers would get a kick out of it too. Much love and stay awsome dude! (Ps any other viewers lemme know if I missed anything of note that’s important)

Never really played with Dragonov(so I can't comment on his play style)but Afro you really need to utilize kicks more😅. I be seeing alot of openings where a jumping kick would've caught your opponent. Moreso for you I feel a low kick also would help immensely. One of my mains since Tekken 3 have been Xiaoyu and kicks really do be helping 💯

Yeah one thing you’ll come to learn and should probably look into now are frames (the amount of frames an attack takes to move).frames are key to ranking in tekken it allows you to know how to punish, launch, all that jazz. Most moves when blocked will put you at negative frames meaning you can’t do anything and the opponent can punish you with a faster move than the frames you went negative by, I think all characters will have at least one move or more that even when blocked they have plus frames meaning you can do an attack without worrying of being punished. It’s super deep and this was only the tip of the iceburg, but its def something worth learning, because knowing frames is the key to winning any match in tekken
