I hated cabbage as a kid, didn't like boil up either. Now I love it and kick myself that my mum isn't around to show my appreciation for her efforts.

Cabbage and kamokamo is always better with butter.. and boil up is always tastier and more tender the next day 👌

mmmmmm I love Boil up with Bok Choi, and Chinese cabbage only Hydro Watercress over here in Brisvagas, instead of dough bois we make Motu Motu(flat dough boi), and my bro married an Aussie who won’t have it in her house, so I ring him and say Bro there’s a boil up on the stove lol.

cuz you can make boil up with kale ,silverbeet,spinach,endive and even wilted lettuce if thats a thing, also not to limit your choice of meats, venison goes good ,wilad pork ,rabbit,and mutton birds ,,,boil up is a tradition born of necessity its about making do ,and using what you have by being creative ,,, enjozyed the video

Growing up we were never short of watercress or puha but now and then mum would throw a cabbage boily our way, we didnt complain as it was a bit of a novelty for us 😃😃

Over here on the west coast of Aussie Bro cabbage boil ups are the go for me , I grew up on brisket and cabbage and mutton flap stews but you have to eat it all the next day or the cabbage goes off

Boil them to death, or just burn them for ages in a super hot fire, until they come brittle? Then crush them? Thanks, and your food looks delicious 👍👍👍

Man, i lived in Whakaburg for 40 years... I never once saw the temperature go over 32 degrees in February...my sister lives just past Tauranga, she's been telling me how hot its been getting... Anyways, i just wait for the watercress to have boilup...its just flowering here now...

far out bro im cooking same boil up tomoro for sure, in aussie cant get watercress or puha where i live, but lots of cabbage and silverbeet boil ups been my go to. Chur

@@WekaDigitalMediaNZ if it's beef or pork, it's called nilaga. If it's chicken, it's called tinola. If a sour ingredient is used, it's called sinigang. Either way it's cooked, I call all of them delicous 😋😋😋
