You really have such an eye for turning your home into this beautiful personalised space full of character, and I love that no space is too small for your attention-to-detail and DIY skills ❤️❤️❤️ It is so, so beautiful. You’re an inspiration! Congratulations on a super job 👷🏻♀️
as with all the projects you’ve done on the house, i’ve had full confidence in you all the way! it’s inspiring seeing someone dive into a project they don’t know how to do/haven’t ever done before!
As someone with ADHD I can 100% relate to the getting bored of projects and moving on, or deciding to start projects without actually thinking them through. Just gotta think that it always turns out fine in the end! The fireplace looks amazing!
Suggestion for the exposed laminate edge - can you cover it by slipping another strip of brass tile edging beneath it? You'll have a double brass lip but I think that would look neater than any alternatives.
I am sure it was easier to apply, but I have to say I love the comedic timing of you explaining this rubber grout float tool and then immediately cutting to you applying grout with your fingers 😂
I honestly was skeptical about that tile choice but I cannot believe how beautiful it turned out! The tile trim really pulls it all together and now I want this exact thing in my house. It's completely transformed that fireplace. I'm in awe! Also you are just like me with DIY, stress, panic, confidence through the floor, but then it turns out okay and you're like "why was I so worried?"
Yess Lucy, as a girlie who's just moved out of her parents house for the first time I am rewatching all of your DIY videos like crazy. This is literally a blessing, thank you ❤
The fireplace looks great! I think it could look good to paint the mantle a dark aubergine colour (or really any darker colour that strikes your fancy), it would make it a bigger statement against the white walls and might make the tiles pop even more.
😂 I’m exactly the same. Why finish a job when you can start something else. 😂😂 Love these videos! Can’t believe you’ve been in this house for that long. Crazy how quickly the times gone. X
Flame pit so fresh and so clean, clean! Looks great, nice work! And now we serenely await your autumnal spooky housewares and treats haul. No pressure. None at all. Total serenity. Hope it cools down to proper cozy autumn weather soon🍁🍂🧡
Looks great! All your DIY videos give me the confidence to give things like these a go because whats the worst that is going to happen! Please keep recording these!
This looks amazing and you've inspired me to do mine lol. I've started doing chaotic DIY, much to my finance's dismay as it inevitably means he has to take me to Wickes. IT makes me feel frantic 😂 I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not lol.
I absolutely love this Lucy, I'm in the process of doing bits and bobs on my house too and this makes me feel less alone in attempting projects that are hard 😂
Omg it looks really professional I really did not expect that not when I heard you use the technical term smudge tool 😂 that looks brilliant 🤩 well done you x
Omg I've been rewatching your moving vlogs for inspo and just watched the one discussing what tiles for the fireplace. I ended up deep scrolling your insta to see if you'd done them and which ones you went for (not a stalker, promise) so very excited for this one 😅 x
Well done on the timing! It looks amazing. Those tiles are so nice! Your right it really does tie in the room. Think it looks really good with your sofa. With your new built ins, which I think in your last diy vid (stair one) you were considering painting them pink I think that will look so good with the tiles and the green sofa
hahaha me and dellusion are best friends. i think you need a false sense of confidence to do half the diys i have attempted and some how completed in my house. i am glad to see i am not the only one haha great job on the fireplace. it looks amazing
This looks so amazing!! Well done! Prob doesn’t matter as you’ve finished and it looks perfect (!!) but that little metal thing that hangs on the back of the tile cutter behind the scorer is for breaking the tile and can kind of sit flat on the tile for breaking it evenly . That being said I feel like it’s literally a lottery whenever you try to cut a tile so who knows if it works any better 😅
