I always wonder why you don't use buzz baits more. They are so versatile, you can drag them across logs and cast them just about anywhere without getting hung up. If I had to pick just 1 bait either creek fishing or lake fishing for bass the buzz bait is what i would take. Besides that who doesn't like to see an explosion on top water.
I love hearing the birds in the background in the water hitting up against a canoe. Makes remember the days when I was young in the boat with my parents and I miss those days.
You realize how inspirational you are, right John🙏🏼❣️ i have so much more fun fishing like you, no ego but joy in abundance. Its fun that you sneak off❣️
I’m sure it takes a while to edit , and don’t want to miss the nice days you could be fishing , can edit on rainy day or real windy days great videos keep them coming when you have time to edit , can learn a lot watching your videos and the things you try and figure out. Thanks for videos
Nice float trip ! Disappointed that we didn't get to meet your Dad. All the people in your life are important to you and therefore to us also. We love CFA ! Always be careful. Randy B.
Nice work as usual John. I like these impromptu trips they’re more like mine. I get an open slot in my schedule pick a spot and jump on it. Sometimes a good known spot sometimes exploring new water either way fun times keep up the good work brother!
Absolutely entertaining brother I enjoy the content I also appreciate how you stick to the name creek fishing adventures! I live near the Georgia Tennessee line they call it borden springs alabama and there is so many creeks around here it's a treat to see you adventure on these creeks. Godbless you and you're family also everyone who reads this. Godbless you all.
@@CreekFishingAdventures no actually John. The whole video seemed just unbelievably clear on my end. That's good. Maybe you're just getting better at taking the videos
Whew hoo - 132K subscribers now! Went fishing at my favorite local pond yesterday - we'd just gotten 2-3 inches of rain the past week - didn't get a bite! Bummer, but still relaxing and enjoyable.
Your videos are so enjoyable. Im out of action due to a torn bicep tendon. Should be back fishing by the end of May. Have a couple of creeks around me and I'll use ultra lite rod for some physical therapy
You can rig those magdrafts with a small stinger hook , put it on the top side if u do. As it's less likely to get the fish in the gills and not hurt the fish
I just found you on RU-vid while looking for fishing videos, and really appreciate you sharing your knowledge and experience. I've been Lodge Lead at Dick's Sporting Goods for about 6 months and am learning so much from you. Growing up, dad taught me how to fish using spincasters and rooster tails, so I'm a VERY basic fisherwoman, though I know enough to be dangerous. Bought me my first baitcaster a couple of weeks ago and CAN'T. WAIT. to start using it! Ohio weather sux right now, but legit Spring is coming! There's nothing like being outside enjoying nature...fishing, kayaking, hiking, it's ALL good! Thanks again! PS. It's really cool seeing you use some of the stuff we sell. We don't sell Nikko, and I wish we did because it looks like those lures KILL Bass. Pretty cool to watch. 😎
Like that you have been using baitcasters more, try using a Shimano CURADO DC with the 8.5:1 gearing for your buzz baits, keeps you from wearing your wrists out.
Thank you John. What is the name/brand of that lure? Does it work well in pressured waters? My goal this year is to catch one fish. I'm 66 years old and bank fishing getting harder for me. I totally enjoy your vids.
Enjoy your videos, but when fishing with top water bait why not share the action with your viewers. Keep the videos coming, reminds me of my youth living on the creeks.
Ice is almost off the lake, and the creek is low enough for me to get the yak under the bridges. Should be doing an outing next weekend. I saw your lifejacket and purchased a chinook as I was experiencing neck pain on the 8 hour outings from the seat backrest shoving my lifejacket into my neck. Thanks for this content while I wait for spring here in Canada. I was kayaking in April last year, but this winter has been a long one.
I just subbed you , been binging a little bit but I’d like to thank you for inspiring me to get a kayak and fish some of these creeks around here in the Texas Hill Country. 💯🙏👍
Those spots are so much fun to catch. Its amazing how much a few hours or a day can change the bite. Friday night was amazing, multiple fish over 4 lbs caught and numerous others jumped and tossed the lure. Even ended up with 3 big crappie. I tried the same thing the next night and managed one crappie and not a single bass. The last month has been as many amazing days as it has rough days when you just can't figure out what they want. It has definitely been a good month when a 21 incher is too small to cull a fish from the top 5!
Great video! I've never had any confidence in a buzzbait but I might give them another try this summer. Also do you find yourself using the front or rear anchor more on the rvr?
While wade fishing I have thrown a buzzbait with no hits. When I come back an hour later I have had a hit almost on every cast. They definately hit it more late or real early. I washoping you would toss a few more times at the end. I enjoy your channel.
Big baits have enough drawing power to get fish to bite even when they’re in a negative mood. Sometimes that negative mood will have them short striking.
Another awesome video. So looking forward to some topwater action. A little farther north than you, so it should be starting about now! Nice evasive maneuvers with the tree during the backlash too! 😂
Another great choice turned video. Sometimes you just need to get out and catch some fish. Love when they're thumping buzzbaits and spinnerbaits. Or any topwater lures. River looked peaceful ..good decision. Blessings John
John, this looks like a stream that you could have easily used a pedal drive. I was wondering why you would give up the freedom of your hands and a pedal drive to use a kayak with a paddle. Just my opinion, but anytime I could use a pedal drive I would be doing it.
LOL That dog followed me 3 miles on that river last summer chasing a raccoon. I got close to the bank once and I thought the raccoon was going to jump in my boat.
John, Great Video and Outstanding Fishing. Throwing a buzz bait will make 'em mad . Thanks for sharing, I appreciate your hard work and time and knowledge and wisdom and experience. God Has Blessed You. Thanks Again and God Bless You.
Have to top water it while you can! Great looking stretch of water you were on. Thanks for sharing. Definitely have to pick up some of those hellgrammites and compare them to other brand!
The buzz bait on your thumbnail is similar to one of my favourites. The Cavitron. I have about 8 of them in my box, in various sizes and weights. The only issue with them where I like to fish is that pike absolutely hammer it and bend the crap out of them. But it is, by far, my favourite, especially on overcast, calm water days.
so, here's a question that may be politically incorrect, but i'm hoping to be forgiven by anyone who's offended. do you do catch and cook on smallies or other fish in your area? i'm always looking for new ways to fix fish, and i've never cooked a smallie before, or a spotted bass, or a large mouth...plenty of crappie, perch, and bluegill, but i am curious how folks in WV fix their fisheses...
John I heard you mention them a couple months back but those Covert spinnerbaits are quickly becoming my go-to spinnerbait. I’m going to throw it more in some skinny water this year instead of some of the stuff I’ve been using in years past.
John I have a bluesky pro angler 360(a pontoon style) but still classified a kayay. Because of my injuries don't have the flexibility the use a regular kayak. Have to have launches to get in and out or easier acess no steep banks. Could the river your were on be be fished in something like That. I have motor guide XI3 55lbs 33in kakay shaft GPS&spotloc so the motor head does not stick way down below the kayak and it is easily raised. Little info for disabled vet🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🎣🎣🛶🛶
