yes but...their energy need doesn't fill up as quickly with the mat, which means they will cry out of exhaustion more often. I guess it depends on what annoys you more, tho. I just put the play mat in the same room as the crib, or have two play mats, that way the Sim is never far from one and doesn't waste too much time.

Also teach to say thank you and teach to say sorry raise your parenting skill and you can encourage their learning right after for an additional parenting skill boost. It also raises the child’s manners and conflict resolution respectively.

@@frostin666 yeah that’s a good trick I had forgotten about! If you want to go the other direction you can also set an early curfew and have your kids step just outside the boundaries of their lot then discipline them for breaking curfew. It tanks their responsibility trait though.

Me too, but I got all 8, 2 parents, 2 kids(a teen and a girl) and 4 pets one cat, one dog and two horses. I was so glad when they grew up 😅😭 I couldn't stand our Butler getting the baby and leaving the house in a pile of trash

@@maiilustra don't get me started on the butler! i ended up firing him cuz he wouldn't leave the babies alone, even after taking childcare away from his tasks.

My sim abandons what he's doing to autonomously get "giddy" over his dog, a few times a day!

All those plus then the chickens keep getting out of the lot and 'cannot find the coop'. Any spare time seems to be spent sending the sim to go put the chook in their inventory and returning them to the lot before they starve. (the chickens get out via the locked door/gates glitch and travel)

@@skyfrostthunderrock I had to fire several times the same butler and the Ranch guy, one of them really creeps me out, he did, I fire him whenever he gets to work in her house. The Ranch helpers were useless in my game, they had to take care of the horses(clean their poop, their bed, and other things), gardening, the chicken, and that dude still just inside my house cooking all the time and following my Sim wherever she was, she as a celebrity, but neither her stalker got me pissed like this ranch guy, and I didn't found a way to lock just him outside the house, without having to lock the house for visitors and stuff(my Sim has a sister who always came to visit her, so whenever I unlocked the door for her sister, the Ranch guy went straight to the kitchen), and while this man was inside the house, my farm was abandoned, my chickens were hungry and dirty. I was screaming "MAN, YOU CLEARLY HAVE SOMETHING TO DO OUTSIDE!!!"

I don't rotate because I want to control everything that happens.....except for when they're infants. I stick them in a family members household until the kids age up 😂
