Vlad is an amazing with kids, his visits have saved my sims a lot of headaches 😂 James definitely should give him a key the next time Vlad comes around
James should create a club with vlad and maybe the baby mamas just to take care of the kids etc We all love the chaos but ya know once in a blue moon so Semaj can sleep or get money
Maybe move the newborn to the living room until you can give Kristoff his themed room. Then they will stop waking each other up. Also instead of the parenting skill you could have preparing a room be the age up requirement. Maybe each room needs a minimum of $1000 in items to call it okay for the age up.
I think instead of +2 parenting skill Semaj has to reach level 5 of the skill that the kids like. For Kristoff, he needs level 5 painting. As a good parent Semaj of course takes interest in the hobby of his kid ;)
Move the baby into Semaj’s room. He can tend it and go straight back to sleep and the infant won’t be woken up. Keep all future babies there to reduce the time needed to tend them. This trick made my 100 baby challenge way easier. I also separated toddlers from other age groups because they love waking people up.
I can understand not wanting to use the Plumbite because it is super overpowered, but amethyst just improves sleep quality. Instead of upgrading the bed via handiness which Semaj dislikes, or spending lots of money he doesn't have on a more expensive bed, you could place a gemology table at a community space and create an amethyst gemstone for the bedroom. Social skills like charisma and acting are boosted by 25% being in a confident mood while learning them. An alternative for aging up a newborn to an infant in place of the parenting skill, could be throwing a gold level baby shower and using the "show off newborn to...." interaction to at least one guest.
You can "Invite over" the kids other parents to help out, or add them to a club with club activities of cleaning and parenting. Don't forget you also need to spend the day at Copperdale Pier along with building a room for Kristoff. I think you should be able to go into cas and set Kristoff's likes to match the wheel spins. The infants can sleep on the play matt and sometimes get motor skills on their own. I recommend deleting the crib and just using the play matt. It will save money and hopefully get skills a little faster.
James! Take selfies when Semaj is in a confident mood! Then plaster the walls with them and enable the emotional aura! Also, sneak them into work and hide them on the set - works wonders in the acting career!
Infants can basically live in those playtime things, except obviously for being fed or changing… they will sleep in them, and while awake they can gain milestones on their own by playing and reaching and etc…
they'll only really get "learn to grab" and "learn pincher grab" from the play mat itself tho. and the bed has the magical mobile, whose praises i cannot sing enough for how easily it gets fussy babies to sleep
I would love to see ANOTHER wheel, lol, to choose whom Semaj should seek out as a partner. First sim seen on a bike, with glasses, wearing brown, black hair, painting, walking a dog, singing great a karaoke, first vendor, etc. Will make the kiddos very diverse and add even more randomness or chaos. Excellent challenge and Thanks for all the entertainment!
I like to imagine a parallel universe let's play where Bess is doing a rags to riches by only asking the increasingly strange and stressed Semaj Renrut clones for money
@@JamesTurnerYT listen listen listen YOU have it correct not them. The acting skill doesn't become relevant to the career until it shows up in the skills needed for advancement part. Fitness, Guitar, Charisma etc are needed first to provide the base. You can have level 10 acting and still fail the gig because you dont have the 2 skill points needed for the guitar for the gig.
Maybe you can just put the plumbite in Semaj's bedroom so that he sleeps faster. That seems more fair than using it for the kids' needs or wearing it as jewelry.
You should add the lullaby mobile to the infants crib, it helps them fall asleep faster. And also, if your infant gets angry because they are being put down you can put them in the baby back carrier so they don't get upset and you can let them fall asleep whilst Semaj does his own tasks like going for a jog, cleaning, repairing, etc.
For the laundry stuff (hampers, machines) I just delete the item in build mode and then undo the action. Usually fixes it and you don’t lose money on the object.
You should make wheels for the traits, so when sims get assigned the trait, you can remove it, and then there will be no double ups and an easy way to keep track. This would work for infants' traits, too
I think it would be ok to use the plumbite in this LP too… it’s very useful of course but without a spellcaster to make dozens of copies of it, the effects are way more limited, since you can only use it for one sim or room at a time and you have to keep recharging it
If you leave the infant on the playmat, they'll not only eventually fall asleep, they'll autonomously reach for/play with toys, which gets them Fine Motor milestones. Once you teach them "roll over" via tummy time, they'll also do that on their own and work on the rest of Gross Motor. (Note you can also click on the playmat as the infant and direct them to do any of these things as well!) Another good infant tip is when you need to feed them, you might as well direct them to use their diaper so you can go ahead and change it and then you don't have to pick them up more than once
The director has brown clothes and black hair! She's the one! Also, I think you should become besties with your hair and makeup guy. He's got those iconic vibes. 😂
Could you put the bassinet in Semaj's room? Newborn babies are generally safer to sleep in their parent's rooms in real life, and it's easier to wake up to feed them. Having the babies in separate rooms means they won't wake each other up when one cries
I think you’ve gotta put the Plumbite in one room! Just one - you’ll have multiple rooms with multiple babies eventually, so having one “plumbite” room will be helpful! You can stick the worst kid in there 😂
i personally like to spread out the kids when they're young. i'd be putting kristoff in the living room on the playmat, or the pablo in the 1x1 hallway lol. keeps them from waking each other up. as for baby mamas/names, i think the next mama should def be the director, and the kids name should be after a famous actor. something recognizable like Channing, Shia, or Leonardo for boys, or Charlize, Marilyn, or Angelina for girls. naming the babies after their mom's jobs or just the moms could be fun. also, i'd say go for the plumbite earrings. until you get some older kids to help out, semaj is gonna need it lmao.
That vendor you got those martini lights from and your director (when they were at your house) both had black hair and brown outfits... next 2 baby mommas? Haha
@@actualyaltaI know, it just makes me laugh thinking about how all the adult sims hate him and he’s just out here babysitting and being a great caretaker
Heads up, Mei likely lost her job as principal when moving in, since I don't believe that's a job a playable sim can have -- you'll have to reinstate her if you want her to be the principal for the kids!
The return of the wheel spin!! I like the idea of spinning for the theme of the babies’ rooms, that’s very fun! An alternative for the +2 parenthood check-off could be to become good friends with the baby :)
James, I’m sorry that I enjoy your struggle! This is a little too close to life, lack of sleep, feeling overwhelmed, laundry piling up. I lost it when both moms came over and you said gangs all here!
This is gonna be a very hard challenge because INFANTS ARE STILL BROKEN! Remember to initiate all actions from the POV of the infant instead of the adult. And 100% get your Plumbite bracelet or ring on!!!! Also, get the mod by LittleMsSam for “Put Laundry in Inventory” because The Sims overwrote their own functionality when they updated the laundry baskets with GT.
Be glad you got those three, unimportant quirks. My infants get some crazy quirks like "loves baths" which means I need to bathe the kid more often or "loves being held" which means I can't put the kid down, or "wakes up sad" every time they wake up, and the worst one: "specific appetite" which means they hate every food in the high chair.
Maybe for baby rooms, you can spin a wheel for the mom to contribute child support money so you have money for the baby rooms 😃 like how in the occult challenge their rooms were added with each new addition 😊 maybe not crazy amounts- like between 1,000 to 5,000 simoleons
Semaj really likes the theme brown and black, even his house has brown bricks and black roof xD I loved the three wheels and the themes and skills for each child!
I think naming the kids in a way that reminds you who the baby parent is would be helpful.... then pablo could be prescot and you have an easier naming scheme
The issue with the hamper might be a glitch connected to moving Mei around / switching to her house hold. I've noticed since For Rent came out that when I switch households some of the objects that you should be able to drag things into (like the fridge, or chests, ect) no longer let me do that and need to be replaced.
Nah, it's a known glitch for the Laundry Day xpac...I don't have For Rent and every time you accidentally add clean/dry clothes to the hamper it breaks it.
James you & these challenges are helping to make the sims 4 so much less boring, I've done the every lot challenge alot since the first time you did the series!!
Haha. This challenge is soo fun. The 3 wheels for each child is a cool idea. I think the baby names should be randomized or something to go along with their hobby wheel (hence doing the wheels when the baby is born.) Also the baby mamas should be like your other baby mamas, black hair and brown clothes, that would be a cool addition to the challenge. You already met one at the flea market and your director that you brought over. lol
I personally would not do this because some infants take too long to sit up- not sure if my game was glitching but I could not get certain infants to sit and I was spamming the practice sitting 😢
You could add taking photos to your list, maybe a photo of the baby in each life stage and a family photo each time you age them up. For the challenge!
What you could do for Semaj`s challenges is to have a new room for each of the kids. Ex. you will not be able to move on if Crystoph does not have his own room, fully furnished and so one so forth. Hope this helps :)
I love how the wheels give them a favorite color, room style and hobby!!! Maybe you can take off each color (and room styles and hobby) so each child can have their own favorite color and personality? ❤
For the tasks it would be much more challenging, chaotic and hard if Semaj has to earn more money (a generated number between 1 and 5000 simoleons), raise a skill to a specific level for either him or the babies (two extra wheels would be funny), attend the death of a sim, start a fire at the baby mother's houses, discover the secret of strangerville with someone and bring all of the sims or just one, do tasks from Henford-On-Bagley and more similar challenges. Also for extra challenge it would be fun if Semaj would look for sims with brown clothing and black hair (one candidate is the director already)
I would carve the plumbite into a gem you can put into a room. You could leave it in the kids’ area or the living space & do some sort of rule for how often it charges, like after it drains it has to wait an equal number of days before it gets charged again, or it can only be used once for each level!
Just watching Bernice always at Semaj's and thinking of Krysta always at the Bigwallet's. She comes by it honestly! Still would love a Krysta spinoff series.
I've already did this challenge and doing pretty good so far, I used my main female Sim, Eden McIntosh, to play this challenge, she had a job working as a gardener, she had a son named Brady, who is a child, and one daughter on the way. I think I will remember the rules for this challenge whenever I'm playing this again.
I'm playing this challenge, and for my second baby I had triplets, and my third was twins 😢😢😢 (I moved all spares in with the other parent. Will age them up and give them matching amulets or something later 😅)
Bernice is in crisis. She was fully ready to commit, leave her husband and family behind for Semaj who used her for a baby and left her in the dust. He gave her a little bit of hope with the key, so she kept coming around and saw he had already moved on to someone new. The phone call about her having another baby was definitely to catch onto his vibes and see if he’d get jealous
Pro-tip for the humor and hijinks festival: choose Jokesters and then do “funny introduction” to every new sim you see. It’s fast, counts toward the joke score and gets you an easy win so you get those fireworks and a microphone to sell!
James, if you need a challenge after this, try the Every Costume Challenge (finding Sims in the world who wear full body costumes such as the bears in Granite Falls, the raccoons in San Myshuno, the Flower Bunny, Patchy, the void critter on the movie set, the Tragic Clown, the university mascots...) There's plenty that can be acquired through gameplay. Bonehilda is technically a costume too. And Yamachan, though I don't know if they can be added to the household.
I have been having that same glitch where I get left behind after all my sims went home, if you click ‘switch control to’ (a sim that’s home) the loading screen will appear and it will take you home to the Sim. Without you having to bring the Sims back and go home with them. Also, from manage worlds you can move newborn babies between homes. If you don’t wanna move parents in every time. Also, may I suggest a coffee maker. When I am trying to play to realisim (no magic jewelry or potions for needs) coffee can sometimes top off your energy enough to get in a diaper change and a feeding and avoiding passing out.
I think it might be worth moving either the bassinet or crib into the living area for now, so the babies don't wake each other up in a never-ending cycle of crying. Also, when the next baby mama moves in for the duration of her pregnancy, maybe she could upgrade Semaj's bed, so he doesn't have to learn handiness?
I was thinking about using the plumbite for a "homework room" for the kids? That way it's not too OP, but still useful since it'll just give them a little boost.
I think you should be able to cut the gem, but leave it in one of the rooms (maybe the living room), so the bonuses from it will only affect your Sims while in that one room.
I'm having some fun with the crystal creations with my sim in the science career. My sim made a bracelet with the gem you mentioned & cloned it using the cloning machine & he hasn't actually slept in a bed in 3 sim weeks XD
I just wanted to point out that right after James said "I didn't get struck by lightning" (at about 19:30) and walks past Simeon into the house, you can actually see when Simeon gets hit by lightning through the door window. Then James's reaction was priceless.😂
