@@xiplication I think in a later video he played again the 12 midairs level and successfully made 6 of them in a row, so he said that since 6 is half of 12, Ryuvenge was obtained anyway, so I think he considers that level cleared and won't play it again for that reason 😅😂
We were up to 13 midairs with inflation a few years ago. After 3 years of midair shortages though, it's skyrocketed. He should get it done soon before it's 30 midairs. Maybe we should let him do a midair installment plan?
Translation (via google) for anyone else super curious about the level at 07:30 [放置ゲー] ラスト 前の超 simple コース! -嵐の前の静けさ- [Idle game] Last super simple course! -The calm before the storm-
Ryu: I've been training my whole life to be the perfect mario player. Fearless, unshakable, unbreakable, my exemplary skill and sheer determination will make short work of any level, no skill level is "too difficult" for me. Level Creator: Yeah so anyway this level is pure RNG, absolutely no player involvement whatsoever, I've removed player agency entirely, you just sit there. Pretty great, huh?
29:00 - It takes 8 seconds to respawn, and the clear rate is 0.06% which means it would take (8/0.0006=) 13,333 seconds on average to clear the level at 07:31 - almost four hours.
Ryu may be a bit lucky. A failed run takes about 6 seconds (including loading screen). And given the existing clear rate (16/23274, or 1 out of 1450), it would in average take 6 * 1450 = 8700 seconds ~ 2 hour 25 minutes to have a successful run.
@@shmubob i doesn't matter if people quit after a couple of tries. the chance of success remains the same, so his math is good i believe. you could get it on your first try or your thousandth try.
2:08 It's too bad SMM1 doesn't have any cat special effects. (: 4:10 I'm glad he enjoyed it. 5:00 Thought process here: 'I sure hope he doesn't collect all four coins on the Bill Blasters.' 6:25 :O :O :O 6:48 >_< >_
Yeah, my daughter (12 years old) and I Will occasionally play endless Mario Maker together. The only way that an endless run ends is with disappointment because you died. Yes, you can be happy you can completed a certain number of levels, but there's never a purely positive feeling at the end of it. With the Mario Maker 1 challenge, you could actually end a run with a full sense of accomplishment! It's not a huge deal for either of us, but I suspect my daughter would actually play it a lot more if there was a defined ending to these random level runs. I cannot at all understand the logic of only including endless, but not something like in Mario Maker 1 where you can "win".
I’ve been rewatching the Super Ryu World play through this week so the Cat Palace level is a funny coincidence, I hope Hector and Korra are doing well I haven’t seen them in a while
The time it takes to die and reset each time was about 6 seconds, and each attempt seems to have a 0.06% chance of winning, so on average to win it would take 2 hours and 45 minutes.
I just realized the reason the levels were so nasty was because the axis powers of WWII came together to create all of them (check the flags at the end)
Despite all my rage, I am still a turtle left in a cage. Some might say I'm an evil one Some should say I'm the only one Some may say I'm the evil one....to...them.
3:01 Ryu finally made it! 🎉🎉🎉 I used this stage to go to sleep. Normally I'm counting sheep while watching RU-vid 🐑🐑🐑, but for this time I watched all forced mario deaths and fell asleep after just 6 runs. I brutally woke up @ 03:45 AM when Ryu finally beat this level. This addiction is getting worse, it's 04:47 AM at my place and I'm still watching Ryu's SMM/SMM2 videos..... and I have to go to work this morning 😢 Thanks Ryu for this great addiction 👍🏻
I think for levels like that "SIMPLE" level where it's basically just an extremely low random chance, it should be OK to skip it. Almost the same principle as a level with a Phantom Jump in it.
So, technically, if you subtract how many lives was spent on the RNG level of the previous run from the 74 he ended up with the last run, he was actually left with -14 lives. LOL I love your content man. Keep it all coming.
Thank God you didn't abandon Mario Maker 1... I felt like the levels were better in Mario Maker one even though Mario Maker 2 has slopes and some extra things but the trolls are better in Mario Maker one and the glitches are better in Mario Maker one... Also you have 70 extra lives to play with so that gives you 70 more opportunities to fill content...
I use to leave my Wii U on all the time for RNG levels like this, when I saw Syun or Thab get some crazy one. Sometimes got really lucky and saw it finish in just a few minutes, sometimes hours, sometimes nothing after ~1 month being on 24/7 which was Lucky Draw. Lucky Draw itself was interesting, there were a lot of streamers doing a non-stop stream 'til beating (Jaku) who ran like ~12 Wii Us (or emus, maybe) at once trying to get a clear lol.
Oh wait. Did you just play a recreation of Super Ryu World's original Cat Palace? (Before it turned into the Sweetness Palace that Jaiden played) And with Jaiden's animation in the end... This is so wholesome... XDXD But how you turned back to play TMNT while the RNG level was running, that was priceless
21:26 - Conan O'Brien used to have a skit called "Things That Have Never, Ever Been Said." Your exclamation at this mark made me think of that, because I have to believe no one has ever said that, lol.
That RNG level would be way harder if it was in SMM2, right? I remember hearing that RNG in SMM2 is based on inputs the player makes, so that means if you just leave the game on without making inputs you will get the same result every time. So basically you would have to keep playing the game the whole time and making random inputs rather than being able to just leave the game on and walk away
Well, there aren’t that many inputs you can make before the muncher and the p switches actually drop. So it would be pretty easy or impossible. It could be a lot harder if you made a section before it where a lot of random inputs are required, claws would work great in that case. :)
I made a level like this in smm2, and yes, this is true! I completed the level to upload it by building it around a specific series of reproducable inputs. So it's kind of like one of the levels people make where you have to enter a code, but it's not reverse engineer-able like code breaker levels are. Unfortunately, someone found out how to cheese it.
2:14 Ryu asks "Where are the cats?? You forgot the cats...." but he doesn't see or doesn't realise the creator of this level has put the skull of an animal with some bones in the background right there on purpose, implying Ryu's cats are both dead...very very rude and scary choice from the creator in my opinion 😰 also for this reason I'm not sure that level is really supposed to be considered as an homage to Switch Palace in Super Ryu World, maybe the dude just hated the difficulty of that level and wanted to recreate it in Mario Maker but in an easy and spooky way after all...
I would more believe it's nostalgia which makes you think the song for 1 slaps harder. I completely understand though because I go super into the soundtrack of Castlevania sotn.
