Robbie Robertson is one of the greatest Spider-Man characters ever. The 90s show really did him justice and the little moments he had in the original trilogy were great too.

In the comics its implied Robbie knew from very early on, like 1971. In 2 seperate stories after Pete and MJ got married Mary Jane went to Robbie for help and its really obvious they are both aware that the other knows Peter's secret but they just arent going to say anything.

It's because Jameson spoke about the event not being photographed. Even Spiderman was there so if Peter didn't take pictures he must have been occupied, yet he seems to take almost impossible pictures of Spiderman himself at other times when Spiderman isn't that busy.

Rami hinted that a couple of characters “knew” Peter was Spider-Man. One is Robbie, the other is Aunt May. He never tells them, but there are scenes, mainly in Spider-Man 2 where both these characters have looks on their faces that they figured it out but just never asked Peter. The big one for Robbie aside from this scene is the part where he sees the suit after Peter quits. For Aunt May it’s her hero speech, think she put two and two together after the bank fight. There are the nay sayers that will say “They don’t know unless it is CONFIRMED in dialogue.” However I think the unspoken in story telling can be very important and sometimes more impactful then what is unsaid.

That look was everything. Excellent acting, even if it was a small scene.

Looking back on the scene where Robbie and Jonah get the Spider-Man suit in the bugle, Robbie's concern in this scene means a lot more since he most likely knows Peter is Spider-Man. He knows Peter gets a lot of stick in his personal life and knows Jameson makes life a living hell for him by slandering him as Spider-Man. In the Spectacular series his son attended the same High School as Peter so they had a more deep connection and most of the time Robbie knew how much of a hell High School was for Peter. Here he knows that Peter is having money problems and he most likely knows he's struggling a lot behind closed curtains. So to see Spider-Man's suit just lying in the trash must really worry him about Peter's safety and mental health since he knows Peter never gives up. So whatever happened must have severely broken Peter emotionally to the point where he's too depressed to be Spider-Man. So that look he gives to the garbage man and the way he caresses the Spidey mask symbolize his concern and care for Peter. Sam Raimi, you are a genius. And the acting sells it all

I know the video is a meme, but I always appreciated the little touches in the Raimi trilogy. Peter was very good at keeping his identity a secret. But there were people in his life that were hinted, but never confirmed, that they knew his secret. My favorite is probably the doctor from 2. It is fairly obvious that he realizes Peter is Spider-Man, and takes delicate care to offer him specific help.

I my opinion Robbie Robertson is one of the most underrated characters in comics.

I like that in the Raimi iteration of Spiderman a few people figure out Peter is Spiderman and keep it a secret even if they don't know Peter completely, I mean Robbie is just a colleague with no reason to keep it a secret but he does and then you got the Doctor Peter goes to later when his powers fail him and even he keeps Peter's secret, even though Peter was shockingly bad at telling a lie to the Doctor to keep his secret safe.
