Yah I want to share my channel with all of you.. Nd I thought it’s the way to drop here my link then if anyone like to click, anyone can ignor. That's up to you..
Thank you so much for featuring me in your video, I’ve received so many orders recently, thanks to you!! I’m glad you liked my work and happy that I could help!! 😄
I was thinking the same thing. I didn't know about online designers. I've been wanting some help figuring out my kitchen and thought I'd have to hire a live designer. Now I know I can source talent from absolutely anywhere.
@@jennalacaria3924 yes mam! You can hire an e-designer! They literally design/decorate your room without having to come to your house. They send you a mood board or a couple for you to pick from..then they make an e-design after you send them a picture of your room...the e-design shows you what your room will look like with everything from new couches to coffee table to side tables to new wall paint etc...they then send you a clickable link to where you purchase your items! Then when the items arrive you put them in your room as the e-design shows! You get a gorgeous room and dont even have to have the person come to your home. ( covid safe!) And it's usually cheaper bc you dont have to pay them to physically do all the work! Its amazing and so nice to have done! You can hire e-designers off Instagram to ( theres tons of good ones ). And their prices vary! Some do it for $50 and then some more famous ones do it for $300!It's amazing! You should totally try it! What's good about picking one off ig is that you can look at their page and see what their style is and what they are good at doing and then go from there. Theres all kinds of different edesigners that specialize in boho style, rustic, farmhouse, transitional, modern, or glam! Or something mixed or in between!
Please do that one again but next time give all designers a colour scheme and mood board (or your Pinterest faves) so they all have same basis. It would be amazing to see their interpretations.
Thank you, this has ended up being the best video I have ever watched. I hired a designer on Fiverr and for $75 AUD (you could choose an option as cheap as $30) I got 2 3D perspective views, a 3D floor plan and a shopping list with pictures. He used my existing furniture and then added ikea, Kmart and Target extras. They were above my expectations and he got my taste perfectly! I have watched hundreds of decor videos but I still don’t have the confidence.
@@tenacious729 I can’t send a link. But his name is evanchristian and he uses ikea so look for that too. But I used my own furniture plus I chose furniture from target and Kmart. . And he’s from Indonesia. If you can’t locate him. Let me know and I’ll see if there’s something else I can do.
@@Reetqa At the beggining of the video you see that it was not a design for 10$, it was a mood board for that price. A mood board is a colour palette, some items and images from where you take the inspiration for a space, not the design of the space itself.
@Hamza Sadouk and did I mention it is bad or wrong to use a certain software? I think the work was done fabulously and my comment might be a good hint for other people who are starting out on 3d. They can see that you don't have to use fancy software as 3ds max to achieve certain results...
Drew, actual architect and interior designer by profession here. We don’t draw the renders or 3d visuals, that would leave us zero time to do any actual shop or working drawings to scale. We will use modeling softwares and render softwares alongside or sometimes live sync render engines to make super photorealistic imagery of models, zoomed out details; practically any kind of perspective you can imagine. Sometimes, I also do a very basic bare bones render in the modeling software and then do a super quick job doing a photo realistic touch up to it in Photoshop if I have to give a very fast proposal to a client. I think of you take time to learn these, you would be obsessed. They definitely elevate your portfolio so much more and broaden your horizons in infinite ways. And I’m just a few years older than you so we are in the same age range as well, but definitely a skillset you will never regret having!
Meika Lee You can try SketchUp, it’s free and you can use plug-ins or other software to render, such as Vray. Once you learn one program, you’ll be able to pick up other options like Rhino, Autocad, Revit or Vectorworks. Just note the 3D-modeling program is different from the rendering program but you should be able to pick it up within a few weeks.
@@pixelpixie2242 sketchup is the best! Easiest learning curve (for 3d modeling) for 3d visualization/rendering lumion has the easiest interface for beginners, hands down. Then you can tinker around with more sophisticated ones. Just start anywhere, loads of tutorials on youtube for newbies ❤
As an interior designer that does renders I loved watching your reactions to these! Seeing the client lose it over renders is such a great feeling lol I love the fourth one so much!
Is it crazy that my favorite was the $10 one? She gave you so many options and even included a color palette so you could run with it. I don't know, I think the $10 was the best bargain!
This is even a really good idea for selling your home. If you’ve already moved and can empty your space having an interior design could really help buyers see different versions of what the home can offer.
The only thing is that hiring a interior designer does not necessarily cost "thousands and thousands and thousands" of dollars at all. I actually hired one for my office and it only cost me 375$, for a decorating budget of 1000$. It was super decent and she did some beautiful work.
WHAT you’re telling me I can give someone $10 to make me a mood board?! I am so design stunted I can’t even get myself to do that. This is going to be a game changer
As an Interior design student, I'd like to tell you it takes a lot of effort to create 3d renders, designers we use specialized softwares to create, model and render these images the materials are studied from how they react to light and their textures, so basically this is how we make it ^^
I’m an interior designer and most of the time we create renderings using 3d modeling softwares like sketchup and Revit (there’s a ton more)! It’s super fun but takes forever to get renderings this good!
I wonder if they did archicad instead...? I feel like Revit doesn't really permit this high quality rendering in as realistic of a form.. maybe I just don't know how to render lol
Jack Norman Yeah revit alone isn’t great for rendering but revit can allow for high quality rendering when using external rendering programs like lumion or enscape etc.
Everyone offered really amazing design ideas! However, I think not giving the designers any style preference or at least some favorable colors was a mistake. Rather than critiquing their skill in terms of color and furniture choice, style coherency or positioning, you just talk about the quality of the rendering and if you like the general style. Aspects like TV placement, the black wall structure not being renter friendly or the dining area would not have been a problem if you gave some guidelines beforehand. If someone actually used a design service like this, I think understanding the clients vision and style is so much more important than the quality of the rendering.
I think he had a wider purpose and Intent for using them being they way he propositioned them. 1. That giving them a job to do- he’s literally hiring them 2. He shouting them out on his video which can lead to more traffic and work for them. 3. He was looking for an overall inspiration to add to his brain-storm of his own ideas
Would guarantee that all the render based designers attended architecture school at one point or another! 1. They use a 3D rendering software to create the room, this includes windows, molding, furniture, etc. programs used may include Rhinoceros, Sketchup, or a number of other options. 2. A separate rendering software/engine is used to create the environment, lighting, shadows, and textures. Such as V-ray, lumion, 3DS max, or many other options. 3. Last step is post processing, they take the rendered image and tweak it in photoshop, adding some elements (the chair in the $40 is def photoshopped and I think the candles in the fireplace are as well). Just for anyone who is curious about the process. Rendering can be very time consuming, especially if custom designing, say, furniture pieces.
The grey sectional with the grey curtains is my #1. Then the last one where they separated the space to include the little reading nook is second. The light fixtures across the board are AMAZING. And the wall art/shelving piece above the tv in the final space was so different. This was such a great idea.
I used Havenly’s design services for my living room. They had a sale after thanksgiving $89 for one room. We had some emails, a call or two to chat, and texts. She did a phenomenal job and really got me. You can buy the items from their site and honestly, she does get a cut from that or you can shop elsewhere if you choose. She respected my budget which, as I was furnishing a whole house, was smaller than I would have liked but my living room is gorgeous. Highly recommend.
Thank you for sharing this!! I have wanted a designer to help me with my spaces, but was scared of cost and how much they’d expect me to commit to their design. Shelling out a hundred bucks or so is totally worth it.
IKR? This video just made me angry because why are these people selling hard work for the lowest prices ever. And you need to spend money on a good computer to get the renders done.
Me too, especially that this render was really decent, with realistic lightning, shadows and textures, and the object were not floating over the floor.
Sometimes people really don’t have a clue about what colors or styles they want or even prefer for a particular room. It’s nice to see what others can “come up with.” May even be something that you love but would have never thought of…….
This is such a great way to show even those of us who are really not tech savvy just what can be done on a computer. I am 76 years old and am still looking for the on and off button. But I love interior design and have watched several of your videos. Thank you for the great variety you provide.
I would love to see this type of video giving all the designers some guide lines such as "I need a design that is renter friendly, X design style and X color palette " to see what they come up with.
Great video as always! One thing I would like to bring awareness to in terms of use of Fiverr is that a lot of people don't understand the reason prices are so affordable is because a lot of the work is outsourced so an individual for instance in India can afford to offer the same scope of work as someone in the US for significantly cheaper due to lowered cost of living. I understand not everyone has thousands of dollars to drop on design so services like these can be very useful but I do think it's important that individuals are aware that long term this can really affect designers. (With that being said a lot of people are trying to price themselves more reasonably on Fiverr so they can still make an income so I mainly note this so you guys can help support some designers on there that may not be charging the cheapest but are still giving you a great deal in the larger comparison.)
I totally agree with this comment. As a design professional located in Australia there is no way I could/would produce something like that for such low cost. I hate to say, but in a way this downgrades the professionalism of interior design and architecture if people think it is only worth $10 or $100. We don’t train for years to work for $3 per hour in the western world. They produced some beautiful work, but ultimately you get what you pay for. Hiring a local professional they will measure the space in detail, find products that are available locally to you and draw them into the space at the exact scale. Invariably there will be modifications made over time = more hours of work. But you would then also be able to see the room from multiple viewpoints and could make changes here and there as required. But to a designer time is money and in fairness a full professional job is worth more than that. But props to all the designers for their work and presentations.
i just finished my technical design studies. basicly, u either make or import already made furniture buildings etc. u put on textures and lighting and add a camera to the scene. its like. so cool bcz u can literally make everything depending on how much time u put into it
Yes budgeting is one important thing but also relation between the customer and the int designer is also greatly impacted. The more you looking for, the more the prices goes up.
As a educated and practicing Interior Architect and Designer I am so glad you did this video. I do mostly commerical, retail, and residential. I had to learn every single program out there (my university is top ranked and very very thorough) and it is not for the weak! Love doing renderings. Maybe I'll create a fiverr! If anyone wants me website or instagram for reference let me know :)
It's very interesting to see different styles of one room. I like them all although my favourite would be the $ 100 version, it looks warm and cozy without being overwhelming or sparse. Thank you for doing this, I'm looking forward to see what you are opting for and how it'll look when it's done :D
I love this video! Being a professional interior designer it was so interesting to see what you thought of all these and how everyone's reacting to them. I definitely would recommend most people to hire a designer to put together a moodboard like option #1 with an addition of a 2d floorplan. The combination of those two things should give you a lot to go off on.
Jeez! Im an interior design student and watching someone pay 375 for just a render is mind boggling. You could hire an interior designer to do up your actual space and find your pieces. I really enjoyed how you support free lancers but wow!
How do you find a local designer to work with in person? I'd like someone to come to my house and work directly. I just dont know how to find one that can do my style. TIA
I’m a commercial interior designer and firms can charge 5,000+ for a high quality realistic revit rendering! Good luck in your schooling! Hope you enjoy the industry
WOW I am so amazed at the details, like the fireplace flames and the light reflection!!! I love the third and fourth one so much. The last one is so creative. Can’t wait to see what you end up doing with your living room!!! ❤️❤️
This follows my modus operandi low or high but never mid. The $10 made such use of creativity and personality, it is gorgeous. And $375 blew it out of the water with exceptional use of the space, niches, and thinking different. Great video.
I also liked that last one the most. But I would do the sofa / arm chairs setting from the 100 dollar option, cause that is the only way one can sit and face both oposite walls (tv and fireplace). A sofa not facing a fireplace (like not even a little bit) feels wrong to me, even if the fireplace is never used.
Thank you for this! I've just been quoted over £1,000 for two rooms and now I know looks and mood boards can be achieved without a home a visit! Saved a ton Saved a lot of money
I can't imagine how much James spent on his interior designers. They are definitely worth it when you own your place and want it to all look cohesive. Congrats on 800k.
I really liked this video...I have to say, all designers brought it, the price didn't seem to limit creativity on their part. Can't wait to see what you come up yet.
The last iteration was perhaps the most versatile. Inside that black chase/frame going up the walls and across the ceiling you could hang curtain material to close that space off a bit, for an over night guest. Either a full pull across curtain or one that pulls 1/2-2/3 of the way across for the illusion of some pricvacy. And that corner chair could one of those that flips to a single bed! Certainly not for your parents and absolutely not for your elderly grandmother!!! But for a friend who is a young buck--- it shouldn't be a issue, getting off, on, the floor! The corner table is a games table, but you could use it bang those pesky emails from work, out, at last! What a relief it is to finally bang them, all. No? This brings memories to my mind, when I was in my early twenties! Trying to make sure everyone, everything was banged. Daily. Sometimes in the weekends, too. I was so exhausted but everyone got what they wanted. Or was looking for. In the end! So #3 is absolutely great. But so are all of the others! Dont forget to bang them to just say thanks for their work even if is what they do for money. Ciao!!!
A great idea to show what ideas can be purchased at different ( low) prices. Each design was beautiful, giving off different "vibes" ( as you would say). There was a style for everyone.
I haven’t even watched this yet, but I wanted to tell you I’m 65 and love your channel! Thanks for inspiring me! I can’t see how you have the patience to do some of the macrame you do! Lol! 💕💫
@@Tinyteacher1111 - Her channel is called XO Macenna. She is a friend of Lone Fox and does fabulous D.I.Y interiors and lots of crafts. If you like Drew you will love her content and her incredibly cute dog Kinsley. Drew moved near to her. They are practically neighbours now.
They have TV mounts that can shift downwards for situations like yours. My family has really high ceilings and to center their TV perfectly, they got a swivel mount that adjusts in all directions. When we'd have company over we'd recenter it parallel to the wall to look neat.
I didn't think of this as an option for my struggles in decorating the space. Thanks for this video, you've saved me! BTW, I loved what the first ($10) designer did for the money vs the others. But that's just my opinion. 🤗
Drew, in response to your question around 3min mark, Im into interior design myself and use a website called roomstyler in which you do a floor plan and it renders it into a 3d image and you can change the little camera (angles of the room), take HD pictures from it to save. That's what I've used recently to get an understanding of how I wanted my room layout to be and how I wanted it to look 😁
All of them were unique and creative. 💕 I can’t wait to see what you come up with though. You are quite talented yourself, Drew. Congratulations on reaching 800K! Wishing you all good things for your future!
As an architect I can say that made a render with this level of detail (without plans, construction details etc) is half a day of work if you do a full 3d render, 2-3 hours if you do a collage - that in some cases it's prettier than a render
This was divine intervention! I'm racking my brain how I'm supposed to learn all the stuff needed for my business(I'm a grandma and as tech savvy as a chimp) and you popped up with this fiver recommendation! THANK YOU SO MUCH! Already reached out to some pros.
Drew: designed a living room, assembled/upcycled 3 pieces of furniture, launched new product for his brand, hired 5 designers, made a ton of tassels, recovered a pillow, and on and on. Me: finished my Halloween pompom garland (almost).
Every design was sooo good! 👏🏼 Loooove that this opens up the option to so many people to get an affordable option for getting help with their interior designing! 💖
I think you got the most bang for your buck from the $10 one. The others were great but I don’t know how practical when you are dealing with a rental. This was really fun to watch! I would like to have seen a source list .... where do you buy the rugs, furniture, accessories etc? Price points? Very educational though! As always excellent content! ❤️
I have watched a variety of youtubers make these Fiver videos and almost always the $100 versions in all of them are usually the best ones. It's so funny. That is def the best price point and is always so worth the money. The more expensive ones are almost always never that much better or really worth it. Personally, the $100 version in this video is the best. You can still have the tv on the other wall. Its a mix of masculine and cozy. It leaves room for a dope rug and even painting the fire place a dark color. I really like that. The $10 version was a good deal for someone who may not know how to design with color in mind. It would be interesting to see a bunch of lower cost versions (boards) to see what people come up with. In terms of designing spaces I use "Home Design 3D" in Steam (my brother got it for me so I am not sure the cost) I love to do them on my free time to unwind lol. It's my video game lol. Any way. Great video :)
Wow what a fresh concept of video. Also I was curious about the music in your videos. I like it so much, no doubt it's custom that's why it stands out and fit your videos perfectly. 😍
I don't think it is a dining table in last pic, although you could eat there, more of a game table/study/work space in the living room. Definitely cool to see these different ideas!
Love how positive you are. For the last one, loved the thinking outside the box. You could replicate the beams with painted styrofoam or just use hollow “beams”. Totally doable for a rental, especially the styrofoam option since it would stick easily.
Love the brand integration in this one! Interesting to see the process. Your channel became my happy pill - so chill! Greetings from the Philippines 🇵🇭
This is by far my favorite fiver comparison video yet! It was a lot of fun to watch, and I loved hearing your perspective! I was blown away by the mid-range options you showed. What a great idea for getting new ideas without the cost of hiring an interior designer! I’d love to see more videos like this!
I had no idea we could do this. I belong to the audience who didn't know about the concept of getting a 3D layout to discover different interior options. The best part is that we are moving in two months and now I know exactly what to do before starting to design my interior. Fiverr really chose the best content creator to promote their platform. Thanks Drew!
The boho was definitely for affect. One in a million clients would even consider it. Maybe if 75% of the stuff were subtracted, it'd be more livable, although not as fun.
You could do the beams, they make them out of foam, are incredibly realistic and can match a wood finish, black washed wood would like nice with the dark wall you are incorporating, liked the black fireplace too.
I like all the vignettes from the first designer, but I'm not sure they understood your room layout. Also, it was a lil busy. I love the ceiling detail in the second designer's pic. The gallery wall, throw blanket, area rug, coffee table & unlit logs stacked in the fireplace are my fave elements from the third designer. I'd keep the plants & candles from the fourth designer. The shelving & TV placement plus the bold black paint to delineate the space from the fifth designer are cool. Now, if I threw all those elements together, would it end up gorgeous & functional? Don't know. That's why I'm not a designer, LOL! I can't wait to see what you come up with that suits you!
I tried working with an interior designer once. I paid $250ish dollars so she would design my open concept living room (including a dining nook and kitchen - this came with the flat and needed only finishing touches) and I got an excel spreadsheet with approximately 5-10 pieces of random furniture as well as a couple links to shops way out of my budget. I also got the contact info of a reliable electrician and a lighting store where I got 5% of my light fixtures I hate to this day. So I guess I did get something out of the venture after all? 🤷♀️ Can’t wait to see your final living room design!
So fun to see all these! I have somewhat high ceilings, with my TV up on top of an armoire. It is actually very comfortable position, especially when I'm reclined. I will forever keep my TV up high now!
Easily one of the coolest things I have seen. These people are truly talented. I cannot wait until Thursday to see how you translate all those ideas and imagery.
Hi from Canada. Lived all over LA decades loved it. Knew immediately your home was LA the beautiful wood floors windows all that atmosphere. Really enjoy being a little fox.
as someone who tried studying 3d modelling... man, it's sooooo much work. it's kinda fun once you get a hang of it, but its so so difficult to make it look good
omg i got so anxious and excited as you opened each folder HAHA. my fave was definitely the $100 option and i'm considering hiring the same person too! 😀
Kinda sad here... you should have hired me to create that for you! Postgraduate architectural student here with a youtube channel and a Fiverr account lol
I’m constantly amazed by your creative video ideas and DIYs! This is something that is SO accessible for a lot of people! I know I’ve been so curious about havenly it would be so cool to see a part 2! You are awesome!
Honestly this is a really easy way to make money. You can make an archive of few different mockups with different styles. And boom. You can easily send the same photo to hundreds of people, and just tweak it to their needs.
Lone Fox, you should have informed designers that you are renting, so they may have excluded the enhance construction element from the project, to suit your need. Detail brief Ensures satisfactory result and good value for paid assignment.
Such amazing decor! It is all about how the designer transforms the client's had my guys from Snugverse, that are masters in translating your vision to a concrete solution.
