I followed your video today and installed the kit on my 4440. The toughest thing I thought was figuring out how to get the first snap ring out. I also over torqued the bolt on the back before realizing it. Thanks for posting. Very useful.
Yes they are. Since installing these, we put two more sets in the 6030, and we have another set to install in the 4520. I was concerned about the extra stick out initially, but it hasn't posed a single issue as of yet.
Nice video. Even the Deere dealer in my area can’t stop them original couplers from leaking I had a neighbor return a 4840 three time before the dealer got it fixed thanks for the informative video.
What's supposed to be the advantage of these verses standard ISO conversions. Only part that bothers me about the kit are those couplers sticking out an extra 4 inches past the stock configuration.
Even with the standard ISO conversions, the bores in the valve body get worn to a point where a sliding O ring just won't seal anymore, period. This is what happened to me. As for the couplers sticking out further than the standard configuration, that tractor spent 200 hours on tillage tools, round baler, and corn picker this past year, and it never posed an issue. I was concerned about it, too. But I was more concerned about the steady stream of oil dripping from the remotes. Overall, I would absolutely do this again, and matter of fact, Dad has two kits ready and waiting for the 6030 as we speak
