Its because their entire team relies on refs letting Joel go to the line, they throw a tantrum when it doesnt go their way. Never seen a fanbase cry so much about refs.
@@ajk_16 Almost is. The difference though is that Draymond is very blatant with his dirty stuff, whereas Embiid disguises it as clumsiness. Embiid leads the league in flagrant fouls over the last 5 or so years though.
Embiid is so stupid throughout the season with the amount of times he falls for no reason and then continues to do it in the playoffs. It's as if he wants to have the injury narrative in play to cover for the fact that he is afraid in pressure moments and cannot cope or make the right play when called upon.
I suspect that Embiid does want to keep the injury narrative going. That way, if they lose, then he's got a nice little excuse and alibi, but if they win, then he's such a fmvp wArRiOr1! 😂 The problem is, anyone who is truly in the know can see right through this
It's undeniable that he's had an injury, but that injury isn't that serious if he can score 50 points with it. One Philadelphia fan said Embiid would have scored 100 points in that game if he hadn't been injured... Embiid will be remembered as the most selfish player in basketball history after James Harden. He doesn't make his teammates better and that's the main reason for Philly's failure.
It’s not the injury. He’s disappeared in 4th quarters in the playoffs his entire career. Look up the numbers. He’s out of shape. Mf refuses to do cardio. If he got an elliptical machine they’d be in the ECF.
Apparently Shannon Sharpe came out and mentioned that Embiid ate a burger think it was during training camp (don't quote on that) but I wouldn't be surprised. His conditioning isn't good.
Maaaan.... My least favorite thing in basketball is complaining to a ref WHEN THE GAME IS STILL HAPPENING. GET BACK ON D. You're not gonna change the ref's mind, all you'll get is a tech. Complain when the ball isn't live. I swear this is why a team loses half the time.
@@arc7gaming move like point guards, he's slow as hell and an inconsistent outside shooter. Also the constant flopping and foul baiting would remove any enjoyment from that.
Embiid flails and charges in recklessly, that’s the contact he is forcing, to not even try to shoot. Giannis is different. He just runs full speed at you and will run you over in his way in for a dunk. He atleast aims to score. But you are right. It’s nauseating.
I tried to warn some people, harden was not the issue with this team last year. He put them up against the Celtics whom were the favorites. Embiid won them 0 games that series.
That was such an amazing play and decision by og on that dunk.. too bad he missed the ensuing free throw but still, felt like that play completely changed the momentum of the game
I agree that it's so annoying watching players try to draw the foul when they're clearly not trying to make the shot. Dame was doing it all the time in the pacer's series and the refs just weren't calling it. The whole reason I think they weren't is because he was so clearly just bowling into people and throwing up a shot that's barely a shot.
It's not like it's just this series either. Embiid has ALWAYS struggled in the 4th quarter of playoff games. Injuries have something to do with it, but I really think it's a conditioning issue.
The injuries really held him back but come on.. Tobias with 0 points in his last game??? That can be a series killer by itself let alone with Maxey struggling to get going.
Embiid hits the deck so often that you'd think he's got an endorsement deal with Mop 'N Glo. I insist that at least part of his injury problems stem from him throwing himself to the floor 20 times a game after the slightest (or no) contact.
I've been a subscriber for a while but and i especially watch your content in the off season, i lately started watching again and i was like who is this guy ?!😂 keep it up though i like it
To me he just gave up, played well for 3 quarters just to not look bad overall and then give up knowing that he, because of the injuries, couldn't sustain the entire playoff run
If you’re referring to Brunson “jumping back” into the defender that’s literally not what’s happening, Brunson stops and goes straight up when he notices the defender is literally hunched OVER him so of course it’s a foul the defender can’t be on top of him
It’s interesting, that there is no disagreement that Brunson constantly flops, only the false equivalence assertion that Embiid does the same. False, in the respect that Embiid does sometimes flop when under the basket, but that is rarely rewarded. The away from the basket fouling of Embiid is real, and usually the result of an undisciplined defender reaching in and slapping Embiid’s on the arms. Brunson, on the other hand is flopping on jump shots. His is much more frequent than Embiid’s, and almost always rewarded. Away from the basket, Embiid will stand still and swing his arms, making fair contact on a badly reaching defender. Brunson moves his feet searching to force contact with the defender, including backing into the defenders body. Shades of Trey Turner, which is supposed to be illegal. I’m not taking anything away from Brunson’s talent, which is high. Simply observing the truth. The fault in both cases, however, lay with bad, and inconsistent officiating. Which the NBA is rife with.
Bro, Bryson gets and average of 8 free throws per game, while embiid gets over 15. What on earth of you smoking. Brunson gets assaulted by multiple players at once, no call. Players exist too close to Embiid? Foul+ 2 free throws. Stop whining and taking away from a guy you tried and failed to guard with 2-3 people on him at all times.😂
@@dizent2885 Are all Knicks fans that dumb? Embiid will occasionally flop under the basket, but he gets legit fouled away from the basket. Brunson flops on his jump shot, constantly pulls Trea Young style offensive fouls, which are supposed to be outlawed. So, that’s on the Refs for not calling it correctly.
