Thankfully the party was able to get through the night and survive. But did we, the audience, survive??? Song by Ross Bugden • ♩♫ Happy and Inspirati... Follow me on Twitter / unicco_1 #CriticalRole #DungeonsandDragons #MightyNein
@@triccele all the players have known since ep 18, Liam told them to go ahead and watch the scene afterward (Travis talks about it in the Talks Machina for ep 19). I think most of the one-on-one scenes are not super secret, the players seem to usually watch them after the episode
@@mrsiwtv yeah, I realised that after, when Sam jockingly sings about it on one of the DnD Beyond sponsor thingies. I started watching not that long ago, I haven't even watched the episode this clip is from, I don't know why I thought they wouldn't watch the secret parts afterwards
Ashley and Sam play off each other so well. Pike and Scanlan were the same way, just going back and forth together, Sam going a mile a minute and Ashley just reacting like she heard every third sentence.
@@Tesoro1996 Yeah, and Nott and Yasha hearing it and going like "What was that?!" but then deciding "Eh, it was probably the wind" and then going right back to talking.
I love how Ashley just kept stringing Sam along and drawing it out to torture him a little. *chef kiss* I think my new favorite Yasha moment is now "I killed my whole family, I'll throw you under a bridge. I'm learning how to people." Gah, I love her.
Well, Fjord did chase her for awhile in nothing but a towel, did that mind charming truth thing with Molly, not flirting right with all the lady types Nott sees for him (including Jester), sailing over water for an arc, having to go under the ocean repeatedly for his deity, not being allowed to cannon whenever she wanted thanks to her captain, and his general gruff masculine proving of himself... Nah. No idea why Nott thinks that about Silent J.
Toa Tahu remember when Fjord wrote off Nott’s extremely valid fear of water and proceeded to make fun of her collections????? That’s why Nott sees Fjord as mean (Also Travis called Nott expendable at one point, and Sam probably got that confused with in-game, resulting in Nott getting angrier with Fjord)
Funny how it could easily be an hyperbolic intimidation thing, but Sam went for a "Oh well" interjection It becomes way more hilarious, since it is sounds so unnatural
I love the cuts to the cast's reactions. Travis, Marisha, and Liam dying of laughter and sharing confused looks, then Taliesin is just completely done. And that "Hahahah!" Was great
I'm imagining Liam off camera after the show saying in his signature nasally drone, "I've been crafting this dark dramatic storyline around my past and how and when I reveal that information to our party members and you just SHAT ALL OVER IT! YOU SHAT ALL OVER IT SAM!!"
@@doomerbloomer6160 he toldo Beau and everyone else left but he told I think Fjord and Jester about it and at this point (I mean this episode) Yasha and Cad didn't know yet lmao
You know as much as this was a slip on Sam’s part (most likely) you could easily chalk this up to Nott being strung out and in the throes of withdrawal after cold turkeying for days. Regardless, it’s still hilarious.
i just love the look on sam's face when he accidently says that, instantly you see him thinking, what did i just say?! how am i gonna talk my way out of this one?!
There's a pretty good actual play podcast called Rude Tales of Magic, one of the cast members slipped up in _episode one_ and said that phrase and one of the other party members responded "who exists in this world, you know!" and now it's a running joke in the series that Roman Catholicism exists in the world of Cordelia (despite Jesus' miracles being far less impressive in a world where healing magic and resurrection spells exist)
I saw the title and thought it was a huge spoiler and when I actually watched the video and realized what it actually was it made me laugh like 30* harder lol
Me: Don't worry guys I'll call- Ah! I killed my whole family... guys, I left my phone at home. Friend who I've groomed mildly in the ways of critical role: Great, nice going. You've thrown us all under the freaking bridge. Me: I'M LEARNING NOW TO PEOPLE OKAY, I KILL MY WHOLE FAMILY SOMETIMES!
I would like to point out that Sam says "Do you have that money I owe you" 4:20 and everyone is just too caught up in how funny this whole thing is to notice. Edit: He also keeps saying "over" instead of "under" when referencing the bridge tossing.
I dont like how taliesin laughed when sam said cad is a nice guy. I mean it does seem off to have him play a good character but we could all hope for it to be true
Well, he is a grave cleric who makes tea out of dead people. He also has a bunch of siblings who he learned to play practical jokes on, and he worships mother nature (and nature is brutal as fuck).
Favorite Yasha line of all time " I'm trying to do the thing. Like, I killed my whole family, I'll throw you under a bridge... I'm learning how to people"
On you RU-vid vod of this episode someone pointed out that Yasha says she won't judge the party's magician, but uses a sword literally called "The Magician's Judge"
Is it bad a part of me kind of would want to know what would have happened if Yasha had just casually went "Oh darn, guess I killed my whole family on that one guys". Like how would Caleb react to that? I imagine him just freezing in place, eyes so wide, "why would you ever say it like that?" 😦
What!? You didn't include Ashley's callback to it later in the episode. Harumph! Well thanks for sharing this bit at least. I think this is the best bit of improv we've seen from Yasha so far.
