Since 2014, the whereabouts of Ezra Bridger and Grand Admiral Thrawn have remained a mystery... Or have they? I've compiled evidence right from the Canon to foretell of their whereabouts and more importantly, what they've been doing since they left us.

I like your theory. It makes sense. In legends didn’t Darth Cydia’s make the death stars. Yes, I mean plural death stars because there was a larger threat coming to the galaxy that Thrawn told him about? I could be wrong about that, but I could’ve swore. I read that somewhere a long time ago. The Asoka series could be a prelude to a new Star Wars trilogy at the movie theaters where we could see this all play out I would like to see the timeline being after the events of the episode nine the reason I’m saying that is when the rebel alliance Puts out their call for help to exit. Call all the ships come I wonder if Ezra and Fran came to that distress call. I would think not. That’s why I would place it after episode nine and let it be a prelude to a trilogy series you can we use Luke Skywalker as a force ghost, that would make sense. Now that I would watch on screen. That would be interesting, fresh ideas.

This works honestly, as fan-fic'y as it sounds, it still sounds along the lines of something Disney should do to win back fans. Ezra may even genuinely (try to) befriend Thrawn, as it's already shown that Thrawn respects and admires anyone who can outplay him. Old canon leaned more into Thrawn becoming an Empire man, while new canon leans more into his Acendancy allegiances. Good video!

The overall idea with this theory I agree with, things like Luke being busy, the sequels having nothing to do with the "Grysk War" I agree with further. But there really is room and time for more writing, characters, and perspectives. Regardless, I do think Thrawn and Ezra will form an alliance and we will take Timothy Zahn's canon route rather than remaking the Legends Thrawn.

@@SW_Wayseeker Yes!! They should allow him to write in my opinion. He built up what Legends was most known and enjoyed for: The Legends Thrawn novels. He created new storylines in his canon novels while using some elements from the old ones. Some don't want the canon novels because "they are repetitive" (perhaps referring to the Grysk) (and some of the people saying that haven't even gave them a read!) meanwhile they ask for another Heir to the Empire... I understand why people want another Heir to the Empire but they **must** understand Zahn probably won't be writing that unless he does get hired as a writer and Dave tells him to do that. Also, when Zahn wrote those novels, it was almost entirely a full on free zone. There weren't any rules or events he could really contradict. That won't exactly be the case here.

I believe Ezra is dead. Remembering that Thrawn introduced the ysalamiri to the Star Wars Universe and that the ysalamiri create pockets that the force can not operate in, I believe that Ezra was the first victim of Thrawn's discovery. I also don't believe that Kanan Juruss knew how to become a force ghost therefore Ezra wouldn't know either. That would be the reason why he wasn't heard in The Rise of Skywalker or seen in later continuity.

Interesting theory. After listening to the Trawn books, I’ve decided that he is not evil himself, but chose a side that exhibited what he perceived as creating and maintaining order. I think he looked at the bigger picture and overlooked the “little things” and did what was necessary as a warrior to get a specific outcome even if he didn’t agree with the methods to get there. I could see him speaking plainly to Ezra and through the Force, Ezra coming to an understanding of Thrawns ultimate desire, the protection of his people.

I mean, they didn't really. Thrawn was always just flat out a bad guy. He respected his adversaries, but he wasn't merciful, he was tactical. Same as in Rebels. The one area they didn't do enough was show how Thrawn used art to devise strategy. How he could see what an enemy was going to do because of that cultures art. They didn't do enough there. But they showed him as a tactician, as a great fighter, having respect for Hera, Ezra, Sabine. But like in the books, he was a bad guy helping an even worse guy by harming innocents. In the book, he was more than willing to take advantage of a subjugated species who didn't know the empire was the one who had poisoned their planet. I really wish Rebels had included more Noghri and kept Rukh alive so he could get revenge for Honoghr. (Not sure I spelled that right)

Given that the Grysk are the Disney canon version of the Yuzzhan Vong I could see Ezra joining forces with Thrawn to defeat them. He may not like Thrawn but his empathetic nature with living things, plus his trust in the Force, would see him standing against the Grysk even if that meant working with Thrawn. Ironically there was a plan for Ezra to appear in The Rise of Skywalker, kicking Sith Trooper butts with a green lightsabre but the filmmakers felt that it would be confusing as those watching wouldn't know who this strange Jedi, who is the same age as Luke actually he's a day or two older, was. Especially as he had never been mentioned before in the laughingly called sequel trilogy.

I still think that the world between worlds could be used to create an alternate timeline from the sequels. Say that Ezra saving Ahsoka would create a separate timeline where she was alive to tell the mandalorian to take Grogu to the Jedi beacon. This would mean the empire couldn’t study Grogu and Snoke is never created. I don’t know if this is too complicated but I think it would be cool to create an alternate post endor. Agree with some of this - though I’m not sure how much of it is out of hope they use the fantastic setups Tim Zahn gave them. I definitely think they’re in the unknown regions, though I’m dubious as to how visible they are given the fractious nature of the great houses in the Chiss ascendency and their natural xenophobia for lesser races. I think Thrawn and Ezra have come to a mutual understanding, I think (hope) the eventual contact with Ar'alani and Eli Vanto will push Ezra to understand the more rounded picture of who Thrawn really is. I think there will be interest from Asohka in Chiss force users, which will create conflict in the ascendancy as skywalkers are valuable commodities and the ascendency is a delicately balanced eco system. If they decide to fully flesh the story I can basically see conflict within the ascendency, with the Grysk and with one another. It’s a huge opportunity to present new worlds and ideas, the new Thrawn canon was some of my favourite SW work but I’m just super cautious of whether Disney can really present anything that mature.

Having read the thrawn books, I absolutely feel like your right and the grisk are going to eventually be a major threat. Its definitely the logical conclusion to thrawns story and with such a major conflict I don't see how it wouldn't be a major point in the future starwars show content. Its just kind of crazy how you likely wouldn't have any idea about thrawns motivations, or (how I see it) the directions the shows are likely to take without having read the most recent timothy zahn books. I however didn't read the "Heir to the Empire" trilogy because I assumed the content wouldn't fit well within current cannon but there's definitely gonna be motivation from that in the new stuff coming out.

I think you’re on the right track for sure. Hyperspace travel isn’t instantaneous, once they make the jump I think Thrawn will realize he should work with Ezra for the moment. After all, Ezra is in direct control of the Purgill. Thrawn will perhaps communicate directions through Ezra to the purgill to direct them to his people’s territory. It would echo the hat he did with Vader in the second thrawn novel.

I love this theory, I had the same idea (though I never thought that the purgil could latch onto Thrawn’s thoughts too. That’s a interesting idea). Although I don’t believe it. Don’t get me wrong, everything lines up (but I think Thrawn’s likely in the Unknown Regions or Wild Space, not the outer rim). It would make so much sense. If we’re being real, I don’t think we’re getting the morally grey Thrawn from the canon books. We’re getting Thrawn as our antagonist, heir to the empire Thrawn (love that Thrawn too. But legends and canon thrawn are different). I don’t think lucasfilm’s writing staff is going to use stuff established by Zahn. The only thing I’d say against that is, why would Zahn create the Grysks? U don’t make a massive threat like that and then have it resolved off to the side. I just don’t see that happening. Whatever happens, i just want to see Admiral Ar’alani in live action, that women is a legend

But I disagree with the conclusion that they will teach the Chiss force sensitives, as they are described as physically incapable of doing anything other then forseeing the future and reading minds last time i checked. But that again leaves the question of what our heroes will do after the Grysk war, if they live through it...

Your first assertion is shaky. Based on Luke’s statement that he was the last of the Jedi religion…Ahsoka made it clear two times in Rebels that she did not identify with being a Jedi. Luke’s statement is still possibly correct*, however it is not a a definite proof that there was a resolution with the disposition of Ezra and Thrawn. Ahsoka’s relationship with Jedi identity was stated first when Ezra, Kanan and Ahsoka went to the ancient Jedi temple on Lothal and it was time to perform the Master & Apprentice ritual required to open the Lothal Jedi Temple. She deferred to Kanan & Ezra performing the ritual as she explained that she had voluntarily left the Jedi Order. The second instance was when Ahsoka and Vader were dueling in the Sith Temple on Malichor. Ahsoka firmly declared, “I’m no Jedi!” *So what about Ezra? He was a Padawan at best when he & Thrawn disappeared. He was well aware of Ahsoka’s non-Jedi affiliation yet she remained a powerful light sided wielder. This was something Ezra was well aware of. It’s not unreasonable to consider that Ezra simply followed a similar path to Ahsoka’s path, or he could have become a dark side wielder or he continued to follow the Jedi path; however it’s not known which path he chose. To dogmatically posit that Luke’s “I’m the last one” statement is proof that there has been a resolution to the the situation at the end of Rebels by ≈ 30 ABY is, as I said, shaky.
@SW_Wayseeker
@SW_Wayseeker Год назад
Actually, I made a solid argument. My final piece of evidence revolved around the expansion of the Grysks. IF this is the direction they move in, then the Grysks are gonna be a BIG deal. Given that the sequels are 30 years after ROTJ and the Republic remained intact (until the Hosnian Cataclysm) it is absolutely safe to say that the Grysks did not suceed in moving deeper into the galaxy (Check out Thrawn Alliances.) As for the Jedi Religion, what I said is true. Luke CAN say that He's the last Jedi WHILE it is also true that Ahsoka and Ezra are building something NEW in the Unknown Regions. Both statements can be true at the same time. I absolutely believe that Ezra follows Ahsoka's path. He is NOT turning to the dark side. If you study the character and WHY they made the character, then it's pretty clear to see what they want to accomplish with him.
@rafiki1017
@rafiki1017 Год назад
I know that Ahsoka says she isn’t a Jedi, but in reality she’s more Jedi than the Jedi in the prequels were. So when she says that, I understand it as she’s trying to separate herself from the way the order had become. They weren’t in touch with the force anymore. They became corrupt and blind to what was actually happening. She’s more in line with Qui-Gon or Luke. That is, until Luke told Grogu to make that choice. I honestly don’t know why they made that creative decision. But she’s not some gray Jedi or “someone who uses both sides of the force”, whatever that means. She’s everything a Jedi should be, besides both her and Luke seemingly not being aware that having attachments is a good thing, not bad.
@latech7671
@latech7671 Год назад
I just want to add that Ezra could only still become a Jedi if he meets another Jedi who could Knight him which in his Timeline is pretty much impossible as Luke is probably the only one that could do that (and maybe Cal Kestis if he is still alive after Return of the Jedi which I hope but not believe). The only other way he could be knighted is through a Force-Ghost doing it (which is actually more probable than him finding a Jedi in the actual Galaxy). So I believe as well that he will never become a true Jedi Knight and I think that is actually a pretty interesting story (and also different to Ahsoka as he has way less Decision in not becoming a Jedi)

I said the “outer rim” because it’s not policed as heavily after the New Republic forms. You made a lot of good points, got to give you credit, this is such a good theory. However, you were talking about how Luke said that he was the last Jedi and that Ahsoka and Ezra couldn't have been Jedi because it would break canon, I honestly think that is not an issue. Disney is in general trying to do content that is not centered around the sequel trilogy, I wouldn't be surprised if they fully retconned it. We could still have Ahsoka and Ezra be Jedi without it breaking canon. Also, I've seen alot of people say Ezra could be a dark side wielder now, but I think that is almost if not completely impossible. The whole point of Rebels is showing how Ezra learned good morals from his master Kanan, I don't think Ezra would trade anything that Kanan taught him for the ability to use the dark side. I personally think Ezra will stay in the light, but he might still help Thrawn defend his people against any alien threat, just my opinion tho

I agree with all of this. It makes a lot of sense. However, I think there is a likelihood that many of the new Disney/Lucasfilm assets will be moved forward in the timeline to face the threat of the Grisse post the sequel trilogy. I've been theorising that thrawn has been collecting warriors and force sensitives and putting them into stasis until the conflict happens (you could probably use the world between worlds to do this too, but many fans would be turned off by time travel...personally, I'm happy either way). Disney are not going to just forget about the sequels, those stories need to be part of the over-riding arc. This way, characters from different parts of the timeline can be brought together for huge future projects. Ezra Bridger, Ahsoka Tano, Cal Kestis, Din Djarin, Boba Fett, Bo Katan, Sabine Wren Jacen Sindulla, Grogu, Maz Kanata, Chewbacca, Rey, Finn etc etc etc are all characters with unfinished arcs with the potential to be brought into the same project. It would reboot the Saga but still be and feel Star Wars and have characters we love. It's a no brainer for Disney/Lucasfilm to do this, and the bread crumbs seem to totally lead to it.

It's not possible for the rebels end scene to be after Ashoka appeared in live action, she's literally trying to find thrawn still in that live action episode, implications being he found his way back somewhere and hid and she's found some evidence of where he's been working and who he's been working with, otherwise why did Ashoka go there, to interrogate the magistrate as to thrawns whereabouts

Much of what you have said is interesting and quite plausible. The World Between Worlds reminds me of the Narnian version, if a bit easier to figure out the locations. Also a bit more dangerous than Lewis' idea. We shall see what the writers come up with. So far, The Mandalorian has been somewhat less than the first season promised.
