Some sciency stuff if you want answers: It makes sense for the meats not to change as much. They're made of fibrous proteins which are meant to withstand Extreme ph changes. The fish is fish. They're not really built to withstand that much, plus they naturally break apart easily due to their structure. Pickles absorb because of diffusion. Moving into the cells due to a smaller conc. In the cells in comparison to the bleach solution. Egg shells are pretty decent at fighting some extreme ph, in acid they'll dissolve due to acids ripping off hydrogens, but in alkali not so much, however, reactions are exothermic when the yolk&white mix with bleach. Yeet.
