I think people sleep on Kongs Oxygen destroyer line. It was how they stopped Godzilla in the original. For Kong to say he was an Oxygen destroyer and now you are O-2 was at least a triple.

After my first listen I thought Godzilla killed Kong but I realized Kong dang near canceled out most of Godzilla’s bars. In my opinion the sign language bar was my favorite other than the “anyways that was more disappointing” bar

Kong focusing on rebuttals means he was in the backfoot of the battle, Godzilla was bulldozing him with diss after diss and Kong was in the deffensive but didn't really throw that many punches... Come on bruh Godzilla Even hit him with the triplet and the Kaiju Haiku Godzilla bodied

For those who don't fully understand Godzillas nintendo line. When donkey kong first came out universal tried to sue nintendo for the name kong being used universal thought it was copyrighted turns out it wasn't so not only did nintendo get universal to pay them nintendo made them look like and a$$

@@H8tfulJay No, it wasn't that good, because I've seen the Godzilla anime and I liked it, so Kong's rebuttal wasn't that good from my point of view, and Godzilla's last bar was good, and the line "saddest death of a gorilla since Harambe" and "and fuck your balloons that you rod on" were way better than Kong's reply! so Godzilla wins!

@@Kardam_LuciFer idk, kongs line were actual attacks to godzilla, godzilla's lines were either about himself or about of kong being an ape. Kong attacked godzilla always needing a monster to fight to sell tickets, about hollywood moving godzilla away from being a nuclear bomb metaphor, shat on godzillas trash films like 98 and all monsters attack, etc. And any godzilla attack like the jack black one was rebutted hard.

I am gonna have to heavily disagree with u when u said King easily won the first verse. Like come on man, u could say Kong won, but it most certainly wasn’t an “easy” win. I mean Godzilla in his own first verse literally: -Brought up Kong’s loneliness compared to God’s friends -Compared him to Donkey Kong -Mocked his airplane attack in a clever way -Mentioned Kong drinking the juice which led to his capture -Calling out Kong’s weakness to the blonde girl while Godzilla himself never suffered from a crush -And finally, that Empire+Jussie bar goes harder than anything from Kong’s first verse

Yeah Kong had one good verse but even those rebuttals couldn’t match to that extremely powerful first verse, and then went soft on the second verse just to flex both a triplet and A Haiku in the 3rd. Plus Kong third verse honestly sucked.

In my view Godzilla wins round 1 and 3. In the first one Godzilla was savage and while Kong had some nice rebuttals he self hurt by attempting a diss which fell flat on its face, trying to mock Godzilla"s poor box office performance. The latest solo Toho Godzilla Minus One made 10 times the budget and in the USA was so popular that they extended its theatre run from a planned week to over a month and increased number of screens. The second round goes easily to Kong but in the third one Kong had nothing to counter sheer skill: switching to triplets and creating a haiju mid rapping.
