Ugh… this is the third channel I have had to advise that better help is a certified talk therapist not a clinical psychologist or psychiatrist however when I was looking into them mid-late pandemic they were charging comparable prices (hopefully that has changed). They have also have been in the practice of selling patient personal data, which I can’t understand how they are getting away with in the behaviour health world. (I mean as someone who has repeatedly gone through Hippa training, I can guess, but those are thin lines they are walking and I would rather not)

Nice vid, just really disappointed with the sponsor you're working with. Betterhelp is not the best or even a decent resource for people in need of teletherapy. My husband used betterhelp and the therapist was not only woefully unprepared for his needs, she did not follow proper lawful procedures in our state. That isn't to say that people haven't gotten real help from this service - it just doesn't look after therapists or patients nearly as well as they advertise themselves to be.

Jokes aside mate. ive had dogs all my life. maybe over a dozen. i have one now. yours is special. the look in his eye and the way he looks at you, isnt like that for every dog and human. im happy you found your doggo, and he found you and the mrs. Cheers! i hope you both live long enough to be sick of each other.

I saw some thing about Better Help being scammy (I tried it before and it was mostly decent, but note that, severe traumas do need a bit more in-depth processing than a 30 minute session will allow). But, I do want to say that the best part of better help is the ability to get a different therapist. Switching therapists is something that is very hard to do, especially if you live in a rural area or in certain states that don't like you. IF YOUR THERAPIST IS NOT WORKING FOR YOU, IT IS NOT YOUR FAULT! IT IS OKAY AND REASONABLE TO GET A NEW THERAPIST WHO DOES WORK FOR YOU.

@@travissmith2848Nope. I just lost a dog, a rescue Great Pyrenees/boxer cross. I was the first person she ever went to at the shelter, and she rarely let my side. It hurts that she's now gone. I still reflexively look for her first thing in the morning, or instinctively wait for her to sneak up on me while I was tying my boots just so she could lick the top of my head. But as sad as I am, I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat if I had the chance.

@RevShifty
@RevShifty 24 дня назад
@@Pedroandkalithemaligator6602 That's not even remotely true. I had a Pyrenees Mountain Dog/boxer cross, who was trained so well she responded to hand signals and even gentle directional least tugs on her harness. It never took me more than a single mention of anything at quieter than my speaking voice to get her to behave or do whatever it what she was told. And she was still an absolute puppy on the inside despite being over 5 years old. I could poke my head in the doorway of the room she was in, make a funny face, and suddenly she'd get this super surprised look on her face and want to play. And playing with a dog that size (120+ lbs) was no small feat. Her being so puppy like when she was off leash was by far my favorite part about her. It also made it really easy to train her. Because she learned so quickly and I learned to use play time as teaching time (dogs like her need constant stimulation, so what better way to get that than combine the two most important things?), even the vets would compliment her on her manners. I've never heard a dog described as polite in my entire life before her. You have an incredibly short sighted idea of what training means.

I prefer people please adopt adult dogs. Only the inexperienced tend to choose to get puppies, or all sorts of different species (including the completely thoughtless that naively make human babies without a bit of research asking should you? Ooo welcome being brainfried from lack of sleep, constant diaper changes, and chronic high pitched vocalizations...that sucks the life out of the breeder who eventually hands kiddo over to a school system to be free from it for at least 8 hours, 5 days a week). Really, get the older dogs. They are wonderful. Really most dogs stay puppy-like for life. Truth be told, even the most low drive chill dogs need at least a couple hours per day of your dedicated attention for grooming, feeding, and other needs met. People think a dog is easier than a kid? Not always. Even barky dogs are easier on the ears than a human child. Fortunately exercise and a bit of management tends to reduce barking, which is often a boredom outlet. Some dogs might need a good four hours of dedicated involved exercise daily. People get these high drive working type dogs then think the dog will be a couch potato for 8-10 hours per day? No! Also you can't just turn dogs like this out in a yard! They will find things to do, or stare at door until you come outside too. Truly dogs are quite an involved social creature that wants you present when they are outside. Dogs have been cultivated this way for ages. Also, vetcare can cost a big chunk of money 💰. Be prepared!

There's a few videos where street dogs fake full-on paralysis of their back legs --dragging them pitufully... until they reach the curb, take a quick look around, and walk off on all 4 legs. I didn't know dogs were that smart until recently. Also, they'll limp in sympathy with their human if that human has a limp.

In January of 2022, we adopted a 2.5 year old JRT who was a fine little fellow aside from barking at everything he saw outside our front window and the mutual hatred between him and a border collie up the street. In June of that year, we adopted a 9 month old basset hound who, like Arthur, decided that things full of stuffing needed to be dissected and scattered everywhere. He also decided, as younger brothers are wont to do, that bugging his older brother was great fun. They have both mostly calmed down by now (hated border collie aside), and they get along well. We would not trade either for anything. It was great watching this Arthurian video.

I have a dog named Arthur, too! But he's always gone by Artie. He's also black, short legged and stocky. But more so than Arthur. That's about the end of the similarities, except Artie is a character, too.

I think it’s wonderful you have Arthur. He’s adorable. I can see how much you love him. Dogs bring so much joy. I lost my very special 12 yr old German Shepherd Dog 16 months ago, & my heart is still broken. That said, I rescued this little piebald, blue-eyed American Dingo pup, and she’s a character like Arthur🙂

Aww. My Ginger is not one that likes to be picked up but he'll lie beside me for quite a while when I'm all tucked in watching movies each night. He's my baby. I got him because my others were beginning to age. It's interesting because my eldest cat at the time is still kicking at 18! lol! And my youngest is now 4!! You just never know.

@@GoddessFourWinds my Ginger snap is nearly 15, and she’s a lap warmer and very vocal with a raspy meowing. Definitely lets me know she’s Queen of the apartment. Loves to watch jeopardy, but not so much as the Alex Trebek episodes on Pluto tv.

@@Irish381 Mine is a talker, too. He knows when to say Mom and I swear to Bob he's said Hello a couple of times (like the last time I was telling someone he could do it... my friend nearly fell over! lol). My last Queen was a tiny Siamese name KissyFace. She had the softest fur ever. My other 3 cats and dog were all males. Kissy made sure they all knew who ruled this playground. hehehe I really miss her.

Aww, yes definitely enjoy them while they are here. ❤ I'm sorry about your childhood dog. I lost my dog of 15 years back in May and it was one of the most difficult experiences...but I would do it all again just to have the joy of knowing him. A dog is pure love and joy...I didn't think I would be ready but I did get another puppy. I know Ralph would have loved him, and would love for me to enjoy his company.

Treasure every moment, even the bad ones. I had to say goodbye to my dog a couple weeks ago, Rocky, he was 18 years old, I’d give anything for a few more days with him. “Dogs aren’t our whole life, but they makes our lives whole”, it’s so true.

Puppies are simultaneously a great joy, and a great frustration. The first year is the hardest - there's just so much for them to learn and experience! With the frustration and exhaustion though you get the fun of watching all of their firsts - first stairs, first time trying certain foods, first favorite toy...first confusion when the toy gets stuck under something, and my personal favorite - teaching them a whole new vocabulary of words with which they will come to understand the world with. I'm so happy for both you and Arthur! I hope you have many years of fun and silliness ahead of you

What a hoot! Every dog Hubby and I have had, they have LOVED him beyond belief. He is a really calm, good, dog dad. One thing sticks in my mind, that you mentioned, ankle biting. For weeks and weeks, Hubby walked around with a puppy seemingly attached firmly to his ankles. Dragging them, growling and playing, as he walked. They loved him, and hardly knew I existed!

I had a labrador that was the perfect dog. Never jumped up at ppl, never showed her teeth to anything. Was submissive if dogs tried to attack. I use to take her old ppls home cause how mental she was. She lived well past her sell by date by almost 4 years. I also had a rescue who had 2 wear a muzzle. He was only playing but sounded like he was attacking so 2 keep ppl happy he wore a muzzle. Sadly I lost them both in 6 months of eachother. My rescue was only 7. I now have another rescue who is very naughty. He's not an XL bully but does wear a muzzle n never off lead. It's taking time training him cause he is 8 but we r getting there. I c big improvements in him. Having these 3 different dogs, I've not only been on both sides of the fence, I'm over 2 fences. It's nice 2 c dogs off lead n having a run with other dogs so thank you 4 showing this
