Darren, I have to tell you this story. Back in the early 70's when this song was so popular, I was 11-12, just before my voice started to drop. My older brother (3 yrs older) played guitar and keyboard in a cover band called the "Purple Haze". The band decided that they wanted to do this song in their shows. And they asked me to sing it. I sang with them for several shows (what a thrill) including the Junior Senior High School dance. Well, we performed "I'll Be There" at the dance. Later in the show, one of the cutest senior girls asked me to dance with her. I was on "cloud 9" What a wonderful memory and this video brought those memories rushing back. I started singing along and could remember practically all of the lyrics. I love you guys, not just for this video but for all of the covers you do. Thank you!

In my opinion, this is the group I consider the "allstars" of Singitlive. No offense to Shaun, Crafty, Cam, or any of the other awesome regulars. But there's just something about seeing Chloe and Nikki singing together, first of all, which gets me excited. But then you add Tzan (personally I just LOVE his exquisite style of guitar playing), Damien 'the master' Scott on bass, Super Mario on drums, and of course Darren doing his thing, and yeah . . . This is the "allstar" lineup for me. Side note: I've just said all of that BEFORE watching the video. That's how high my confidence is that it will yet again blow my mind. Now let's actually go watch it and find out. Update: Oh my, I've just finished watching it, and that was so much more lovely and beautiful than I expected. I'm almost in tears. Wow! Superb job to all. Those harmonies were just gorgeous.

WOW. This is so beautiful. Where do I begin. First off I love this arrangement. The trade off on lead voclas between Chloe and Darren is perfect. Great job to both and Darren you keep surprising me. The descending back up harmonies are a beautiful touch and are out of this world with Tzan, Nikki, Darren once again and we even got Mario on the vocals. The music is solid and for this video I love the arrangement of the musicians in your basement studio. Nice to see Damien up closer to the front.
