Congratulations on being one of the three RU-vidrs who start the video immediately instead of going "DOOM was originally released in the 90's and is one of the most recognisable..."
I went from randomly picking up doom 2016 from Walmart one day to a Doom obsessed ultra nightmare god within the span of a year. I have recently discovered great joy in putting doom music over things now.
i hate how this feels like it could be a video by your average creator and you only have 92 subscribers. your animation is on par with some other creators i watch, you deserve to be popular.
You... You described DOOM 4 like it's a childhood game and made me feel old. One of the first games I've ever played was DOOM 2 (1994). I was 6 or 7 years old. *I'm only 22* My brothers introduced me to older games as a kid and DOOM is probably my favourite franchise of all time. And because of my brothers people older than me call me a fossil because half of the stuff I play is boomshoots
I have played both DOOM (2016), and DOOM eternal. I prefer eternal, because of the pacing, combat, design, the fact that there is a home base kind of aspect, the fact that demons beside the pinky now have weak points, and the cosmetics.
One day I might try to finish the game again but in all honesty it felt like Quake 2 in a lot of ways. As in even on highest difficulty it was boring, nothing more than a chore. Having only 1 way to play the game does that, not to mention the game mechanics not actually supporting that (like the "locked into the animation" problem for basically every special action while enemies surround you). I'm actually blaming Doom Eternal for Shadow Warrior 3 being as is since they obviously tried to be inspired by DE and in turn made the game almost as off.
Playing an ultraviolence means they're giant health packs scattered around each arena after I clear out the area. Raising the difficulty means I die right away. I can't forgive that in a game that already has unforgivable game mechanic where I constantly have no ammo to force me to use the chainsaw. Dumb game mechanic and I went back to plutonia experiment ultraviolence and turned on fast monsters and had a way better time.
Doom has a lot to talk about which is why i made the doom-nerdo-666 blog where i post: ideas i think would be cool for a game or at least a mod opinions and prespectives content from other people like mods, fanart and cool stuff trivia and obscure facts sometimes and a bunch of other stuff.
I'll never understand the " can't go back to doom 2016" thing, especially with snapmap and all the amazing mods and master levels available now. But I'm glad it sparked your love for the series
that description of 2016 changing something within you was what happened when I played Eternal during the pandemic my parents never expected me to love something that brutal
Honestly, if it wasn't for Mick's transcending-worthy work, I would never have gotten a DOOM tattoo on my right arm. That's how much his music has impacted me. Would platonically give him the hardest fist-bump known to Doomkind if I ever saw him in real life.
I've been on a spree of underrated channels as of late... another fine addition to my collection! Also you're a little bit quiet compared to other sounds; crank up the volume by four or five decibels and it'll be perfect 👌Love the animation and editing style, by the way! :]
i kinda agree on the point at the new doom game i mean doom always was on new weapons and good rock music is good as hell and i dont play any other fps game expect for doom eternal at the main time btw but maybe and just maybe this changes may turn out good i mean who wouldnt like open world doom game right
DOOM eternal did everything better other than the vibe imo, i absolutely love the design of 2016 and I prefer it even though eternal is objectively better. fucking awesome vid man.
I understand that some people like the more grim and violent nature of 2016. I heard somewhere that Doom 2016 is a serious game with goofy moments, and Eternal is a more goofy game with serious moments.
The Super Shotgun is a lever action? I don't think so, man. Also, when I first saw the trailer for TDA, I thought it was gonna be about the period between 2016 and Eternal, where Dr. Hayden sends the slayer, somewhere. They could still make a game about that, in the far far future
please dont downgrade your style to fit in it's honestly so refreshing to see the characters MOVE and not just slide about with bouncing to tween the frames.
Great video. Unfortunately, DOOM Eternal is just too much for me. There's a whole bunch of information on the screen at once, and trying to keep track of it all just takes too much effort for me to be able to play and enjoy the game, probably due to issues with figure-ground perception. Fortunately, games like Trepang2, Turbo Overkill, and of course Ultrakill helped give me the experience I was hoping for from Doom Eternal, and the slower pace of The Dark Ages will probably make it more manageable.
There's no shame in starting on a lower difficulty. Most people don't start pulling off quickswaps on their first playthrough, it seeps in slowly. For example, if you use the meathook to pull yourself close to a hell knight, and shoot him with the SSG, you might be comfortable to swap to the ballista and shoot again. Maybe use a blood punch to falter him. And maybe throw an ice grenade at him WHILE you're shooting. This might sound weird, but looking at better players' gameplay actually helps.
ahhh man, just ooozing quality, same as your other videos!, i still stand by my comment about you blowing up ! hahaha EDIT: BROOOOO THE KISS AT THE END GOT ME, GOT ME, HAHAHAHAHAHHA
