I LOVE the 4B Movement for Black Women. Here's why...

As a child free and single woman, I am with this 10000000% because I REFUSE risk my body/life to be in a position to have a child (married or not married) and not be supported by my potential child’s father and be not able to provide a safe space for a child to live in. And then all of my efforts as a parent would be devalued as a black woman. NO thanks!!!!!

I have been partially “4B” without the name for YEARS now! I have REFUSED to have more kids after I had my daughter 20 years ago. Also, I have REFUSED to have sex for 16 years now! I started at 19 years old, stopped at 23 and was turning 24 the same year, and I’m 40 now!!! 🤷🏽‍♀️

Lol, what you said about heterosexual relationships, I have never heard someone nailing it like this. EXACTLY MY THOUGHTS! I was never in a serious relationship, because I didn't even get to that point, because I was so grossed out. Every guy I met wanted me to be soft and nice and listen to his problems, because as a woman that's my nature or what. And of course, he wanted sex. They all approached me with that in mind, while I tried to build a friendship with those guys first. Silly me, I know. Then they got mad, and I was accused of being afraid of relationships or playing them, when I just wanted to learn more about them, to spend time with them first. I was so naive to think that's how relationships work. They don't. They see a woman, they like her for some reason, they want to sleep with her, and they want her to console them, because apparently men aren't able to build an own social support system. So my job was to satisfy their needs, and there I was thinking, a relationship is about two people meeting and liking each other and supporting each other, so both can benefit. Again, silly me, I know. Those red pill guys say it to your face: They don't care about your education, intelligence, or personality. You have to be nice, beautiful, not talking back, spreading your legs, cleaning and cooking and doing laundry for the children and the guy. And if you don't enjoy staying in the kitchen and cleaning, then there is something wrong with you. But I blame the older women too, who care for their daughters education and empower them, but then at a certain age they only care about grandchildren. Because, at least in my family, they don't know what it means to have a good job or a good life as a woman. They only know the married life, and how you serve your husband. They think that's the only way of living for a woman and completely normal. I always say, I have nothing to offer to a guy. Since what he wants, I won't provide. Happy single! The whole family/marriage thing is a big scam. I felt like an alien my whole life for having those thoughts, now seeing how so many young women are speaking up and put it into words what I was feeling for decades - it's great. Gives me life! More power to the single childfree women!

I love this for us! As an educator I have a heart for children and I still have an interest in being a mom either through adoption or surrogacy but a relationship with a man (especially a black one) is a no go for me. My only interest in men is extracting resources from them. That is all.

Yep. Of course, it will work. And is going to spread everywhere else too. In fact, many women been 4B long before a name came up for it. Like with me, I just made 61 and have been 4B since 1987 and never regretted it. The best decision I ever made for myself and encourage other women to do it too, to get out of the dating meat market. But back then, I was criticized by my family for living that way and called a man-hater, crazy, need to get some d, and things like that. It was always the d, bcuz they had no other perception of relations with men, bcuz that's all men ever showed them. But I had sympathy seeing the sh*t they went through with men. And now today, women like me are no longer criticized and are growing in numbers globally, and even with a new name for it. 4B movement. I'm living a beautiful life in good health, safety, peace, and bliss, and never regretted it and wouldn't trade it for a man's company.

Their retaliation/movement reminds of this neighbor dude who was trying to talk to me. I told him I wasn’t interested. Then he said, “B*tch. I wasn’t trying to talk to you anyway.” Then I said, “Well, I’m glad we are on the same page.”

I just discovered this movement and its very interesting. I am happy to see women taking control of their lives and their happiness.

I'm happy I dodged bullets by declining marriage and having babies. Best decision I made. They quote, the Bible, get married and have kids, right thing to do. But it also says, " there will not be no such thing as marriage in heaven " matt 22:30. So if it doesn't exists in heaven, why i need a man here on earth? To test my patience and loyalty? Not over here sir.

I loved watching this. Yes! I love this movement for us! If your not being valued, than walk away. But while you walk away, let's make progress. Support each other in business. We need some kind of list of businesses, so we can support each other. Move our money in the right direction. Work on our health, and wealth. We can make improvements. Stay safe ladies!

By saying it's a strength we are making it seem good. It is a disregard for self and lack of self worth. No woman should be doing that for a worthless man.

Being used 4 labor is our fault. When i was married the only labor i did was having my 2 kids. I didn't cook,clean,do laundry, etc. I don't perform free labor for anyone. I've fixed my mom and dad's car at huge discounts but if u are over 12 I'm not cook or washing your clothes etc. Ppl do what u allow.

Thank you for touching on the war on reproductive health bc the timing for the 4B narrative is perfect. Young women protect your wombs until conditions improve. As I’ve stated before the success of the movement will be determined by the fertility rate. Watch those numbers and see how the government responds. I'm not into men, I think I'm going to be by myself for the rest of my life, oh well🤷.... Maybe I'll find a Mrs. Right but, I highly doubt that.🤷

I think 4b movement has already been in effect for black women way longer than we realize it. We're already last on the list for being picked for dating and marriage (at least in the U.S.). Which naturally makes it easier to be celibate which helps to avoid pregnancies. In this economy, i hope more BW get into the 4B lifestyle.

I think this 4B movement is needed in the BC. However just like every other movement it’s all talk and viral moment with BP and never putting anything beneficial into practice.

Where is the strength in continuing to engage in behaviors that go against your own interests and benefit the ones who hate you. That was called stupid until about 5 minutes ago.

Bw have their own divestment movement which was supposed to do the same but unfortunately became wm centered before it had a chance to get bigger. Aside from that i wonder why that did not gain as much traction among bw as the 4b. Is it that bw need to stand with other groups of women who have more social and patriarchal currency to feel secured in the plight? Or is it just that bw have not heard of divestment? I have noticed movements that are bw centered tend to get overshadowed.
