07 and 09 both great cars 07 had 300000 when i got rid of it ,everything worked,quiet engine shifted great ac worked..no major repairs!

What's the most regular failures you have had?

@@oluwaseunemenike8595 the only issue I’m dealing with now is having to refill the engine oil every month. I believe the engine may have a cracked cylinder head. It’s a slow leak. I also just recently had to replace the A/C compressor. There was a lot of strange squealing noise coming from the engine when it went out. Now A/C is running ice cold.

@@hamzaburney2753 Been enjoying a 2.0T Accord! The new Civic looks like a lot of fun, and I still sometimes miss its compact zippiness, but ended up going for the extra space and horsepower.

$500? in 2014 I got a 2006 for $9,000 and still have it.

I just got mine used from my sister at 1500 with 200 K + miles hahaha but its my first and I hope to have it for many years :).

I bought my 2007 Honda Civic LX brand new too, and I drove the 2020 Civic LX from my dealership because my car was serviced for a brake and oil change, and my 2007 LX has better acceleration, handling and better interior design and controls. The 8th gen Civic looks a lot better than the current generation Civics too. I did some serious testing on the 2020 Civic LX, as I took it to the ski mountain through its windy roads to the summit and highway driving. The current generation Civic is inferior compared to the 8th generation Civic with the exception of safety because the current generation Civic has Honda Safety Sense. My 2007 Civic LX drives like it's brand new, and I have over 186,000K on my car now.

@@davidlam8611 you have to own one of these eight generations to truly appreciate how nice and well put together they are for the class at the time which was considered a subcompact double Wishbone suspension drive-by-wire throttle dual stage air intake 140 horsepower with IVtech.. 16 inch tires and one sexy look to this gen civic

Got a 06 EX Coupe. Got 137k so far. No payments and great on gas.

A bit high mileage for the year, but if it’s in good condition, seems like a solid deal!

The 8th gen Civic was split into two families. The FG/FD/FA which were the coupes and sedan. Then there was the FK/FN Hatch. The Sedan was sold internationally, the Coupe was North America only, and the Hatchback was Europe only. The coupe and sedan shared a platform, while the Hatchback was on a platform based off the Fit/Jazz. Hope that helps!

Not quite 40 mpgs given the age of the car, but mid 30s hwy is def doable

my best average is 38 mpg on a European R18A2 automatic

I have a MT coupe and can get 40 highway, but not going 75 :)

I have 2008 manual VTI-L. Driving around like a granny I get ~6l/100km. 35 litres at the servo gets me about 600 km. Excellent economy. This is with 70% highway at 110km/h and the rest in town stop and go.
