I LOVE THIS ANIME SO MUCH 

Been having a good time with this anime and I wanted to dive into some of its deeper themes

Lycoris is a flower. Specifically the ones we always see in anime is Lycoris radiata, which for the Japanese is the Red Spider Lilly. Sometimes symbolizes death or parting

We must continue the quest for Chisato and Takina supremacy

There are a lot of mysteries going on specially with that last scene with the Lycoris being completely destroyed.

I imagine chisato was probably a lot like takina before the tower incident, she probably died during it. the alan institute revived her with the artificial heart, causing her to realize how terrible death is (or something to that effect), and so she became what she is now

I can already feel like this will break my heart in the end.

We need to give, and tell, A1 production our support and how we love LYCORIS RECOIL! So that maybe they will give this anime a happy ending! Remember this anime don't have any source material but only anime it self. Just maybe ...!! But I hope Takina and chisato will get a happy ending depending on us. Maybe the author of this anime is still checking what people will feel and say so that he can right the ending.... Just my imagination thou.... 😅😅😅😅😅

i think the excitement im having with this show comes from the fact that its an ORIGINAL. NO ONE KNOWS WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN AND NO ONE CAN SPOIL IT ITS SO EXCITING from having COTE ruined for me a million times over im just grateful to have something exciting coming out with no spoilers

The gorgeous aquarium scene in episode 4, made me second guess if P.A. Works was involved.

I genuinely think this could turn into a franchise or long running series. You have many moving plot elements (the DA, the radio tower, Alan institute, terrorists etc.) and the setup of a sort of "odd-jobs" cafe means we always have an entry to a new arc (similar to Fairy Tails guild jobs or Gintama). The action, comedy and characters are great and if this became a longer running series I would be quite happy

Man the built up to the story is freaking fun and the characters are quite relatable

It's always the comedic characters that have the most tragic background

I binged the first 4 episodes and I was instantly hooked. I seriously hope that A-1 doesn't screw this up the way they screwed up Darling in the Franxx.

those red spider lilies give me bad vibes about what might happen later in the series. but I'll be here to watch it.

She reminds me a little bit of Destiny from Takt Op. Destiny: short white hair, red eyes, etc.

This show might be the one I look forward to every weekend. Even more so than the sequels like overlord and made in abyss

I wanna watch it but call of the night is tht shit for me and danmachi just turn the hell up. Tht damn call of the night is so damn good, seeing everything I've been reading live at this lvl is so amazing. Can't wait u til vol 9 drops, gonna be good after the info bomb they dropped in vol 8

from the very first episode, Chisato entirety felt like a death flag. i hope that the author does an amazing problem solving so neither will die but... the DEATH FLAGS!

was not enjoying it that much initially,but the latest episodes have me warmed upto it

This anime now has two plot points going - DA's major eff-up and sweeping it all under the rug by forcing Takina to take the fall - and ruining her reputation in the process, and AI trying to force Chisato to kill at all costs. I really can't wait to see how these two plot points ultimately end up coming together.

Lycoris Recoil is easily my favorite non-sequel show of this season. I just hope my feelings of it having a sad ending (namely, Chisato or Takina dying) doesn't end up happening. I just want them to be happy together.

I am hoping for a happy ending, but I could see turning it into more of a tragic story. I think they could also have things turn tragic and turn it around at the very end.

When you realise your own mortality, you change to adapt/connect stronger to the world you exist in. It prioritises your goals. Maybe. Family, friendships, pets ECT. Perhaps that heart is a reminder to tell her that her life is limited and to make best of it as much as she can, and to make others happy, that they don't realise how Precious life or happiness is, and maybe spread it.

I personally do love this amazing show too, Lycoris Recoil is by far the most amazing & fantastic series that can’t get it out of my mind. I really like the show awesome action pack moments as well the relationship of the series two main characters.

Takina is ferociously cute though.

The heart concerns me. the Alan institute seems a lot less pure than she realizes. Or she knows that perfectly well but is grateful for what they gave her anyway but refuses to use her gift for murder. It feels like the direction its going in is that the Alan institute wants her to develop her gift for murder in various ways. Pushing her closer and closer. Probably also able to shut her heart off at any time. I'll go in another direction as chibi and i think something might happen like eventually takina will figure it out and try to protect chisato and meanwhile chisato will be struggling with the thought of having to murder someone after all or it happening by accident or smthing. I don't think she'll grow more murderous and want revenge on someone.

hey chibi , i'd love to recommend you to watch the currently airing anime called "prima doll" i went into it expecting just a idol show but it's really not a idol show and has quite the depressing themes. i'm sure you'd enjoy it

Imagine if Chisato heart stops working at the end of the series and Takina gives up her heart to save her 😳

My theory is that Takina will have to kill Chisato. With the 4th episode Shinji kinda state that Chisato's talent was a rare talent to kill and she doesn't want to kill anybody anymore (probably because of what she's experiencing with the radio tower incident). That's why Alan Institute (With Shinji on board) will do anything to bring back her willingness to kill because "talent from god must be distributed all around the world". So Chisato will turn to the dark side (probably she's gonna be with Alan's/Shinji's side) by force but she doesn't wanna do that so she'll ask Takina to kill her.

Dude, having an artificial heart, or prosthetics, does not make you less than human or “robotic”. Chisato feels that life is precious because she had the closest to death experience. Those normally change a person’s outlook. She is glad to be alive. Someone her age knowing that we all will die and we all are on borrowed time is a rarity. Young people feel immortal and that is why they do so much stupid stuff and risk their lives. She should at least have on clip of armor piercing rounds. Sometimes you need to wreck machines.

Any “girls with guns” anime is always decent to Me. But nothing beats Gunsmith Cats

so far surprisingly good. was interested for the guns stayed for chisato that va is doing work alright. animations and action scenes are decent thought from the synopsis this show was gonna be mediocre one of those throw away animes with mid animation and so on. the characters are fun together too. still waiting on my boi whose too angry to die Gslayer

The anime likes us to suspend believe a lot of times though the anime is a lot of fun but; An Organization of super spy’s made entirely of cute girls just because, Armour piercing rubber bullet yes why not, Can dodge bullets with ease because she can, A bullet proof thin clot robe yes of course, falling from a high up place and landed on a pile of cement after breaking through piles of wood but no scratch or dust on clothes crazy and that part with the short black haired girl was dumb af; it seems that stealth was not something they thought the Lycoris though their a super secret organization (like a lot of moments being poorly covered up lol and by poorly covered up I mean the civilians are quite unrealistic and dumb in the anime; in the modern age we are in now the Lycoris will be caught easily). I love the anime a solid 7.7 for me but sometimes things that weren’t intended to be funny just makes me laugh; well the script was made by the author of Ben-To, so I’m not surprised lmao

This anime is so good and tbh there's only one thing about this that annoys me and that's how the black guy is drawn but other than that, I have no complaints so far.

the lore of the Lycoris are kinda sad. since they are never acknowledged as a real citizen, whether they die or not, Japan and the world will never know nor acknowledge their deaths. last episode, dozens of teenage girls lost their life and no one outside DA will ever know these kids even exist. and in this episode, that random lycoris will also never be remembered. It's kinda sad.

Here's my theory. Chisato was given an artificial heart with a time limit and a task to kill a certain someone that has a suitable replacement. She is refusing to kill by using non lethal bullets signing her own death warrant but choosing her own way of life and death.

I really love a slice o life anime, something fun to watch, and if it also has good action it's awesome. LYCORECO HAS SURPASSED EVERY EXPECTATION FOR ME AND I FREAKING LOVE IT! Plus for the yuri, 100/10
