A beginner's tip for early unlocks: Get the Special attack, stamp, and enchantment system. Those 3 together will massively expand what you can do in a game. They're all really cheap, too.

That's interesting. I'm guessing that people outside of the rabbit hole probably don't know about HoloCure, but at this point it's very difficult to believe anyone in the rabbit hole is not intimately familiar.

you can lower the opacoty of your weapons , to make the enemies more prominent on the screen at the endgame, to get rid of all the screen clutter from various effects.

Little tip which I don't know if anyone already mentioned. If you can, quickly max out your characters skills so that you can open up more item options for other items. Skills don't take slots so you can freely select them without worrying about using up space and they're very important to your characters because their damage and sometimes healing increase with their skills

3:09 yes, there is a wiki , since the game is actually 1 year old, it just had its steam release on this 0.6 update. as for the skills, im not sure if you have discovere dit later in the video or not, but those are character specific and do not take any slots. usually are centered arround your characters favored playstyle.

Yeah, it’s saying something about the quality of this game that even though it almost requires knowledge of Hololive for you to understand what’s going on, it’s still so popular among non-Hololive fans. Also, that probably was a VOCALOID song, because Hololive covers those a lot. They also have a lot of original songs, with a lot of the more recent ones being written by DECO*27.

Hey! you're very receptive! that's great! okay, you've probably heard a bit of this before, but let me run a few things by you. There are 3 types of items you use during the game to help you. Skills, Weapons and Items. generally what you want to do is level up your main weapon and skills first. They are you best friend and complete the character you use. every character has their own unique skills. they all have 3 and they all max out at level 3. but each level up is an amazing boost. fastest and easiest things to level up. You are correct, only the main weapon gets an "Awakening". But, that doesn't mean your other weapons don't get really nice buffs at level 7. when you defeat a boss or something drops like and anvil, you will hear a distinct sound for each of them. You probably missed it, but right before you defeated the last boss and won the game, a golden anvil dropped. That is because you had been able to level up your lava bucket to level 7 right at the end. and because you already had spider cooking at level 7, you got a golden anvil to collab them. one thing i did notice was that you ran away from, your XP a lot. That's actually a very normal thing to do, but you stop doing it when you realize how fast the monsters increase in strength. getting every bit of XP helps when you're just starting your run. ALSO, there are special XP drops that collect all the XP on the ground. you just got unlucky during this round sorry if this was a lot. I'm glad you had fun. and i hope you continue enjoying the game!

Only your starting weapon will awaken when you get it to level 7. Other weapons will give you the opportunity to "collab" them when you get 2 of them to level 7, combining and enhancing their effects and freeing up a weapon slot. The specific combinations are generally related to the vtubers they represent.

The enemy types are all references to the fan base of different Vtubers. For example, the shrimps represent Gawr Gura, who calls her fans “shrimps” as a pun on “simps”. Calliope Mori calls her fans “Dead Beats” which are the skeletons. Some of the variations are references as well, as the enemies in minute 14-15 are a direct reference to Calli and Gura’s original song/music video “Q”. Level 1 has references to all the English Vtubers, while levels 2-3 reference the Japanese ones, and level 4 references the Indonesian streamers.

Welcome new friend! Its great to see this game reach further outside the niche community that its inspired by. All the charaters are real content creaters that all stream on RU-vid. There are three regions based on language, JP for Japanese, ID for Indonesia and EN that covers all English speaking regions.

Alright so some fun info and tips here! Character weapons "Awaken" at lv7, usually giving a unique effect. All other weapons just get a normal lv7, but as other people have pointed out they can collab to basically fuse weapons into a super strong weapon. Most weapons have at least 2 other weapons they can collab with, but some have 3. More and more are being as time passes, so we're getting more combos, even for old weapons, as the game develops. Items range in level from 1-5, varying based on the item. Rarely, from a box, you can get a SUPER item like the headphones you got, which are basically a max level version of that item with higher stats and/or additional effects. Once you level up a lot, you can get what's known as a Super Collab. This takes a normal collab weapon plus a max level item and combines them, giving you an amazing weapon, and a passive effect similar to the item you used to make it (Though not always as strong) while freeing up an item slot. There's currently only 4 super collabs compared to the like 20 normal collabs, and most will require unlocking items and weapons you don't have yet. You unlock items and weapons by playing with the character and beating stages. Some characters like Ina, Calli, Irys, etc will unlock a weapon or item for surviving 10 minutes with them. Stages meanwhile will usually give you a weapon or item unlock for beating them. If you want to check what you've yet to unlock, you can actually look at the achievements menu, as it'll show you which achievements unlock new items and weapons, so I highly recommend doing that if you want to try and unlock everything to get every collab and super collab. There's a ton of things, so you'll have a lot of replayability. Every character also plays differently. The main weapon is different on each, and the Awakened effect is different. So for example Gura's Awakened weapon makes it attack 3 times whenever it attacks, but Calli's gives it a small chance to instant-kill any non-miniboss or boss enemy. Meanwhile someone you'll get in the future like Anya makes her weapon summon spikes below enemies in a radius when it fires. Each character also has a special attack, which you can unlock for 500GP in the store (It unlocks them for all characters). This special varies based on character. So Gura who you played here has a special called Shark Call, which deals 500% damage to enemies near her, then turns her Red for a few seconds, increasing her damage and speed. Meanwhile Calli has The Reaper which buffs her main weapon to do 300% crit damage and I think a damage boost while active. Characters also have 3 unique skills, all of which can be leveled up to lv3. A character's main weapon, special, and skills is what makes them unique, and each one can make you play a character totally differently. Experiment and see what items work well with certain characters! As for the store, you can upgrade a lot there. You can unlock new features like the special attacks, stamps and enhancements system, or get flat stat buffs, and even toggle modifiers to make the game more challenging if you wish! I'd recommend getting special attacks, stamps, enhancements, Fandoms, then pouring as much cash into money gain, XP, pickup range, and other stats in that order, as that'll help you grind money faster. There's also the HoloHouse which is basically a chill idle area like Stardew Valley where you can earn money by playing minigames. Make sure you talk to the NPC's and read the help options for each minigame there to figure that out, but it can be a massive source of income (I'm talking like 50k coins every 20-30 minutes) if you take a little time in it. Second to last, we have the Gacha system. To unlock new characters, in the store there's a Gacha area. This lets you randomly pull new characters. Characters are grouped into generations (Basically groups of people who debuted together in actual hololive) of 3-6, and pulling on each gen will get you one of the characters from that gen. If you get a duplicate, don't worry! Up to 20 duplicates of a character increase stats. Also any duplicate you do pull will give you something known as a Tear for that gen. If you have 7 tears, you can pick someone from that gen to get! No gambling needed! You can also unlock outfits too for some characters, but these are just fun cosmetics and references to their different outfits. Finally, fans! The enemies you're fighting are all representatives of the fanbases of each Hololive member. So for example those shrimps are Shrimps (A pun of Shrimps and Simps), the fanbase of Gawr Gura. The skeletons are Deadbeats (Dead because skeletons, and beats because she's a really skilled rapper. And of course Deadbeats as a joke), the fanbase of Mori Calliope. The little purple octopus things are Takodachi's (Basically rough-Japanese pun for Octopus Friends) which is the fanbase of Ninomai Ina'nis. The Chickens are KFP Workers (Kiara Fried Phoenix), which is Takanashi Kiara's fanbase (And a joke on the KFC restaurant since in her lore she's a phoenix warrior who also runs a fastfood chain). The black and white guys are Bloom and Gloom, the mascots of Irys, a nephlim (Half angel, half devil). The alligators are Investigators, the fans of the detective Amelia Watson (Who is a Sherlock reference). The big white laser boss was Fubuzilla, a mascot of Fubuki. The rats are the Brats, fanbase of Hakos Baelz. The clocks are Kroniis, the fanbase of Ouro Kronii. The shrimps and deadbeats with axes and baseball bats are a reference to the song "Q" by Gura and Calli, in which the Shrimps and Deadbeats with a mafia fighting with each other with those two as the mob-bosses. The owls are the Hoomons, fanbase of Nanashi Mumei. The junimo things are Saplings, the fanbase of Ceres Fauna. The Bread-dog things are Sanalites, fanbase of the graduated (Which is the community term for retired) member Tsukumo Sana. The dog things are called Cursed Bubba's, which is a combination of Amelia's actual IRL dog Bubba, and Grimace from McDonalds, and a reference to a piece of art she drew. Finally, the stage's final boss is Smol Ame, a character created by Amelia, and the first of the Smol members of Hololive (Just a cute little joke thing). Also that golden thing was a Golden Yagoo, a reference to Yagoo who is the CEO of Covercorp, the company that runs Hololive. He's known as a very good boss, and there's a joke of him being "Best girl" among the community. Also the girl in the shop screen is A-Chan, a vital member of staff, and best friend of Tokino Sora. These are all the references and the tips to get you started! Sorry if it's a lot of information, I'm just a huge fan and wanted to give some help and teach you some of the references you were curious about (Like the monsters you asked about). I'm glad you seem to be enjoying this game, as it's a true labor of love. It's been worked on for over a year by Kay Yu and his team, and done completely for free. Sure they can't charge for it as it uses characters from the Cover IP, but they could accept donations but have actively refused to. Kay Yu says he never wants money to touch this project so it says a labor of love. And it shows! All the hidden references, in jokes, and everything. Heck, every piece of music is a remix of a Hololive song! Almost everyone in Hololive has played it, and they all adore it, eagerly awaiting each new update. Even if you don't fall into the rabbit hole, I think this game speaks for how devoted the fans are, and works by itself as a stand-alone game even if you don't get all the references. Weapons can be collab(combined), once two of them are lvl 7.(some weapons have more than 1 collab) e.g. spider cooking(garlic if you want) can be collab with lava bucket. Unlocking weapons/items are character specific and defeating stages.

1. Only main weapons "AWAKEN" 2. Non main weapons have a VS mechanic where they can combine with other weapons to make super weapons 3. All the enemies are mascot characters representing each of the Vtubers fanbase. You have the shrimps, Gura's fans, the deadbeats (skellys), Calliope's fans, the takodachis (purple octopus slimes), Ina's fans, the kronies (clocks), Kronii's fans, saplings (the plant people), Fauna's fans, the baerats (brats), Bae's fans, ect ect ect (there are alot to list here but you get the point). 4. The giant heads that appear are Yagoo, the CEO of hololive. They come in silver and gold variety. Silver just drops money when killed and occasionally a Stamp (another weapon enhancement) and gold drops more money and a suprise box (aka chest). 5. Everything in the game is an inside joke, meme, or fan reference that has to do with hololive, hence the density of information. 6. Later on there is a super super weapon type that is created usually by combining a super weapon and an inventory item. Wont unlock before a certain level and require a rare drop known as a golden hammer. 7. Farm simulator mini game complete with fishing, farming, and fan abus....um...recruitment to the lovely farm.

For stage 1 when the big skeleton (skeletons are called deadbeats) and big shrimp are there as the boss it is called Q (Q is a song that Calliope Mori and Gawr Gura did together. The skeletons are moris fans and the shrimps are guras fans). At minute 10 the boss is referred to as Fubuzilla (i think it is the mascot from fubuki (a streamer from holo jp) but i don't watch the jp streamers so i'm not exactly sure there)

I hope she does play more i never do this but I was almost screaming for her to level up the lava bucket v: there are a lot of cool interactions, I'm curious to see her reaction o//

Fun little trivia about the last boss: Amelia Watson from Hololive En Myth is a time traveling detective and overtime started her own "AmeVerse" with a ton of different variations of her. The last boss is "Beeg Small Ame" a miniature, gremlin version of Amelia, which then turned into a giant for the sake of being a stage boss. Ame's sigmature move is - Ground Pound. Ame was playing Mario Odyssey and unlocked that skill, which quickly turned into a meme once she said: "Nothing beats a Ground Pound. You know why? Cuz that's what I did to YOUR MOM LAST NIGHT! >:D" So, bevare dealing with Ame, she might ground pound your mom next. :P

"Awakened" is just the name for the 7th level on your starter weapon. That's all. Nothing special. It just implies that most of the starter weapons are stronger than most of the optional weapons at level 7. Anvils are either a free level or a damage upgrade past level 7. Free levels are free. Damage bonuses (and another thing you'll unlock later) cost coins. Each character has a starter weapon and 3 skills that are unique to them. In almost all cases, unless something rare you need for your build plan comes up, you want to max the starter weapon and skills first, as they define and enable how that character plays.

Some weapons can be combined once you max them both out. > Super Holozon Box You got weirdly lucky/unlucky that your very first box dropped a Super Item lol. Normally boxes just award you with a weapon or item that you could pick on level-up. Some Items have a special Super form that can only be picked up from Holozon Boxes. Expect to see... maybe 2 every 3 runs on average going forward? They're kinda rare and that first box may have given you some faulty expectations. Anyway, Enjoy Holocure! Everyone and their mother is forgetting about the Growth upgrade. Sure, +1% damage output per in-game level looks small, but in your first game, you ended up with a level 45 Gura. With Growth, that's an easy 45% damage up when fighting the end boss. You can buy Growth 3 times through the course of your play - you don't buy it all at once, unless you can afford it.

My man's very first drop was a super item. Then gacha's all 6 of CouncilRys in 7 tries. Pretty high luck stat there.

As amazing as it would be, it would be a bit ludicrous if every pairing of weapons collabed. But to take into consideration, there are 16 basic weapons as of current, but only 23 collabs (not considering super collabs). If you do the math, every pairing of the 16 basic weapons would result in 120 different pairing possibilities, and idk about you, but I think that many collab weapons would be very taxing for the dev to design.

Theres a separate game mode too (holohouse) where you can harvest, fish, have workers and cook. Harvesting and fishing are for feeding the workers, selling to get gold and cooking, the workers give you passive gold income while the game is running and what you cook gives you a 1 time bonus for the survivors gameplay when you eat it, only one dish at a time, be it higher hp, more gold generation... And as something thats not useful, you can decorate a house, just for fun. Thought might share because havent seen a comment talking about holohouse, and its something you can do between runs to get some extra gold

That luck! Getting a Super item on the first box. Also, I didn't know it had more depth than VS even though I play this game a lot. I thought VS had more stuff added to it.

So every weapon, item, and skill is a reference to something in hololive videos with the skills being more specific to the member that has the skill. Two items in particular I can explain everything about is the Lava bucket and Psycho axe. The lava bucket is based on Sakura Miko who once accidentally dumped a lava bucket in her house in minecraft and then spent the next t minutes or so trying and failing to save her house while screaming ‘hot’. Psycho axe is based on Hoshimachi Suisei and a game in which they were supposed to work together to survive but she decided to take and axe and kill the others while singing. They collab together to form Mikomet which is their nickname when together.

Been playing this for over a year. . . and it is honestly way, way too addicting. I love it to bits, but it will keep you once it has it's hooks in you.

This game is based around a group of vtubers from the agency hololive. This is the reason why the game is free (it's fan made and since they don't own the characters etc they aren't allowed to make money with it). Helpfull tips for runs: try to focus on leveling your main weapon first. Look for weapons that suit the character (some characters focus on melee, some on range etc) and try to find a weapon that it can collab with (they merge together so one weapon slot will get freed. It also makes the weapon stronger) (if you want to take it even further you can combine some collabs with some items to create an even stronger weapon but only few collabs can create a super collab). With some characters you might want to level the specials inbetween leveling the items (with amelia watson for example you should take bubba as soon as you see it since it is a dog that runs around and deals damage) but it isn't strictly neccecary. Tips outside of runs: the first things you should upgrade are ultis, enchantments and fandoms. Enchantments are special effects on weapons like damage boost etc that can be naturally on weapons or that you can give weapons at anvils. If a weapon has an enchantment that you don't want you can enchant it again to change it but they are random. When you unlock fandom you can make characters stronger by pulling them in the gacha, winning stages or surviving 30minutes in endless mode. Every character has 3 levels that they can reach and with every level they get a bonus like improved stats. General information: you don't have all weapons and items from the beginning. You can get some through achivements and some through finding them (the collab weapons will show up in the armory after you created it in a run once). Every weapon has 7levels but only the main weapon gets awaken at level 7. You can boost the base stats from every weapon after it reaches max level. Items have different max levels. After you cleared stage1 you get the holo house. It is verry helpful in getting coins since you can hire fans there that gain coins for you but you have to feed them. You can go fishing and you can harvest and you need to do both since every fan wants something different to eat. You can sell fish to get sand wich you can use to buy better fishing rods. You can also exchange sand to coins but you can't exchange coins to sand. If you want to know more things like wich weapons create wich collabs etc i can reccomend the holocure wiki

There's a lot to explain about this game. First of all - it will forever be FREE. The fan creators behind it say this is purely a passion project, and refuse to take any money from Fans, Cover Corp (the company behind Hololive which this game is based on), or any other revenue source including Steam. Secondly, the lore behind this game is that every enemy in the game are the Mind Controlled Fans of Hololive - so the girls of Hololive have to go out and beat them up to clear their Mind Control. If you try out the Holo House mode, one of the things you can do is raise Fans to farm HoloCoins for you automatically. The Sub-Bosses and Bosses generally are alternate forms of the VTubers themselves (in this level, Fubuzilla - who fires the beam - is a alternate version of Shirakami Fubuki - a member of Hololive Japan. Smol Ame is a alternate version of Amelia Watson, a member of Hololive English.) Ultimately, every member of Hololive (except possibly expelled members who have been erased from existance like Rushia and Aloe) will be put into the game. That is going to be around 59 characters with the possibly going up to as high as 63 if retired VTubers are added - and that'll only go up as new Hololive Members are added to Hololive itself. Thirdly, there are so many references, that it would literally take a whole video series and tons of Clips to explain. And once you go down that hole... you may not make it out. :P I'm happy to see new players play this game - especially those who have not even heard of Hololive before. This game has actually been around since June of 2022 where a demo of it was published on itch.io (the same site Vampire Survivors started on). The game since then has been growing leaps and bounds every update - and this is the first time it's on Steam thanks to Cover Corp & their fellow Fan-Developers Besto Games who created Idol Showdown and were the first Hololive Fan-Game to be published on Steam and paving the way for Holocure to join Steam not long afterward. Both Fan-Games have been well received to date by Hololive fans, and the members of Hololive themselves play themselves or their fellow members on stream when they play these games. Hopefully this isn't too much of a wall of text for you. :P

A really cool thing about this game; it's fan made and free, and there are no in app purchases or anything of the sort. It's purely a passion project and I think it really shows! All of the progress you make is earned... Once you get a decent amount of things, a build that I would like to recommend is Irys money making builds. This is basically achieved by banning all weapons from spawning, getting Super Chatto Time, and the Greed stamp on your main weapon and then building damage and speed stats and farming in endless runs. There's more to it than that, but that's the basics. I'm glad you're enjoying the game though!

I can break some of the mechanics down for you. I will do this in a blind approach way to let you discover on your own. The characters got a original weapon ( it awaken at rank 7 ), other weapons max at 7, you also got skills 3 per character and they are all unique so Gura ( tbe blue shark girl ) have power of atlantis, a dodge and a sharkbite that debuff enemies into taking more damage and potentially heal her. All chars also have a unique special ( unlocked in the store ). So every single char got differnt stats and skills/startweapons to varie builds. Certain chars get much more out of certain items/weapons thanks to this. Ofc this makes some characters being more closerange, longrange, critbased, prefering certain weapons types etc.. Certain weapons collab with each other creating super weapons similar to how vampire survivors evolved weapons with the right support item. Each weapon usually have 2-3 collab options. Find them on your own honestly, more fun that way but the holocure wiki got all of them if you don't mind it. Keep in mind that BOTH weapons need to be level 7 for this to happen. In your case you found the bomb and asacoco. Anvils are upgrade item/weapon of your choice drops. A level is 20 minutes long with midboss at 10 and final boss at 20, endless run and time run stage are avalible though. That is the basics really and I left out mechanics you haven't touched yet. There is a reason it sits on 99% positive reviews

(ive been watching other channels trying this game out, so ill just copy paste my comment) Below some tips, feel free to ignore the below long comment A good rule of thumb in playing a character is focusing first in their respective main weapons and their three skills and maxing them out. Its where they show their playstyle. Some focused on healing, some on critical, or being durable. Collabs can be done by two weapons that are lvl7. Its from golden anvils. Golden anvils will appear if you possess two compatible weapons that are lvl7. Weapons can be leveled up in lvlups and normal anvils. Leveling up weapons in anvils are free on 1-7. 7 and higher cost holocoins and can fail. The most recommended to buy first on the shop is Unlocking the Special Attacks, it costs 500coins. Specials of each character are very different and can serve as being a panic button. You can get duplicates on gacha and it will increase the stats of the respective character by 1% and get 1 tear. The tears can be interpreted as some kind of pity system Use up the tears to choose the character/character outfit you want and get it instantly.

for early games when in need of cash fast u can go fishing, sell the fish for sand then convert sand into gold, then unlock all the upgrade in armory, then for mid to late game u can try to do coin farming run with Risu/IRyS/Reine to earn 500/1-2 million coin per run, then spend it on gacha, and buy everything then maybe complete the achievement

The game is actually not new, its just new to steam. Developer has been working on it for a long time in his spare time. The vacuum item unlock is tied to playing a specific character. Dont knownif you want to find it yourself or not.

This is only a small portion of what the game has to show. The first stage is easy. Would have laughed if he somehow lost. Every new stage after it though gets increasingly difficult.
