Lol... "This guy" is Chris Rupp, the founding father of home free. He had the dream to start the group and drug his brother Adam Rupp, the beat boxer extraordinaire, along for the ride. As a suggestion, not really as a reaction, I would recommend watching the live video where Tim and the rest say goodbye to Chris. It shows how tight this group is on a personal level and is almost a tear jerker. Love watching you on this Home Free journey.
Chris (Rupp) left in 2016 and pursued a solo path with the groups blessing. He has his own RU-vid channel. He did Long Black Train with Tim on there within the last year. It's worth a listen.
Chris Rupp has his own reaction channel now and it's fun to watch him react to the old Home Free videos that he usually directed or at least was there. He'll give you background you can't get from others
Chris left HF in May 2016. After that he was with another a cappella group called 7th Ave along with their sister. I think her name is Tristan but I could be remembering that wrong. They did a great version of Uptown Funk.
Roast beef, onions, cheese .... or ham and egg with cheese :) Chris, as ppl have already said, is a founding member, who left in 2016 to pursue a solo career. One thing I found fascinating is that he was originally doing the beatboxing, while Adam sang ... but Adam discovered that he REALLY liked beatboxing so they switched roles. Also, Chance was a good friend of Tim's (and everyone else liked him as well), so there really wasn't any discussion about who was going to replace Chris when he left. I love catching interviews with Chris about the early years, and watching his BTS on his channel about HF songs / videos is also quite enjoyable!
Can’t go wrong with a good old ham and cheese with spicy mustard and pickles during the summer and in the winter grilled cheese with bacon and jalapeños.
Turkey, Swiss, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, pickles, lettuce, tomato, olives, cucumbers, green peppers, and really good bread (not particular as long as it holds the sandwich). YUMMY!!! This is a “hidden gem” of HF. They do this so well. Chris Rupp is brother to Adam Rupp (beat boxer), they are both founding members of the group. Chris left in 2016 to pursue a solo career, and they brought Adam Chance on board at that time. Chris was instrumental in the selection of Chance as his replacement. If you react to “House Party” you will actually see that Chris is still with them at that time, but that Chance is in the video because they all were friends prior and the video was shot at Chance’s Nashville home.
Sorry but it is a rumour going around that Chris was instrumental in the selection of Chance. On August 6th Chris Rupp did an interview with reactor QoFyReacts and said that he didn't help in the recruitment of Chance. The link is available from Chris' twitter account. It is a long, but very interesting, interview and the pertinent info is at the 33 minute mark.

It’s interesting that when HF first announced Chris’s departure & Chance’s arrival in 2016, they made it sound like it was a collaboration. At least it doesn’t sound like there are any hard feelings. I also appreciate the tip as well because I enjoyed Qofy. I’ll have to check out his reactions 😀.

The first video chance did was try everything from zootopia. He even wore a shirt from his previous group in it, that was called street corner symphony
If there is any "negative" I have about Chance, it's exactly that; that he wore his prior groups shirt on his new group, which seems like he would rather still be with them. It's a bit of a slam against your new group, even if he says it isn't. But, other than that, he's a good addition, obviously.

@@droid8472 I don't mean he was doing it to intentionally slight HF by any means. But, intentional or not, it certainly looked like he was. But, it is NOT a big deal to me, and I don't think of Chance any less for it now. IAT that time, I didn't think it was "appropriate", and I noticed it, as many did, right away. But, that was in the past, and, as I said, the only "slight" I might mention. He's been doing a great job with HF.
Love this older one from Home Free. They all look so young especially Austin. Love the scatting (not sure if that is what it is called) that Austin does. And Adam Rupp blows me away with his fabulous beatboxing as usual.

This is so good. Chris left around March of 2016 and then Chance joined. Chris went solo and has some great songs on his own channel. (I would recommend Long Black Train he does with Tim Foust of Home Free). Chris is usually wearing a ball cap or cowboy hat in those earlier videos and he has a beautiful tenor/baritone voice. Chance is a baritone/bass but probably has 4 octaves so can probably sing tenor as well. Good reaction Adam!
The plan for Chris Rupp to leave was in the works for quite a while. If you look carefully, Adam Chance, wearing a robe, is an extra in Home Free's cover of Sam Hunt's House Party in 2015. This video was filmed about six months before Chance officially joined the group. Look for the white bathrobe; it will make an appearance in another video. It's fun to look for the easter eggs when you look through their playlist.
My go-to sandwich...Radish and pepper cress with mayo! I know...weird, but I love it. 🥪 I also love how Home Free puts their little country twist on this song. Ending was hilarious!😂

I saw an interview with Chris Rupp, and he clarified that he had nothing to do with recruiting Chance. But, they did a Christmas video with Chris and Chance in it, where Chris gave Chance a pitch pipe as a Christmas gift. It was very sweet & great video. 😉

This is one my favorites of theirs. I like the close up views of Adam beatboxing, Chris and Austin's sexy mouths (okay, it's a bit of a fetish for me), and just the close up of all of them. And Austin looks so young! If you have yet please react to House Party. That ones a lot of fun and a real hoot because you see Chance in it before he joined Home Free. He was bass singer with an a cappella group called Street Corner Symphony when they were invited in as party guests for that video and he was already friends with Jenika Foust. Chance is the one wearing the bathrobe with the glass of booze in the pocket.
