Layne's beatboxing in this is epic (as is his singing in his sweet, sweet voice). Voiceplay is so great. And your reaction is great, you're having so much fun and just loving it.
They've been tackling huge iconic songs here lately and just killing them. Nothing Else Matter, Valhalla Calling, Creep, Seven Nation Army--they're all amazing. And Geoff Castellucci, the bass, just dropped Folsom Prison Blues so you'll hear a lot more of his range.
Great reaction! Some must-listens from these guys are Nothing Else Matters, Valhalla Calling, Seven Nation Army, The Wellerman, We Don't Talk About Bruno, and Creep. Some notable older stuff of theirs with previous VoicePlay lineups are Queen in Five Minutes and The Phantom of the Opera. But there is no _bad_ VoicePlay music, so if anything in their channel catches your eye, rest assured it's well worth your time to check out. Their bass, Geoff Castellucci, on the far right here, has an astounding range and his own channel with amazing layered multi-Geoff solo covers including (among other great numbers) Ghost Riders in the Sky, Far Over the Misty Mountains Cold, I See Fire, The Sound of Silence, Sixteen Tons and his most recent video, Folsom Prison Blues. Liked and subscribed, I look forward to seeing more!
I enjoyed your reaction- thanks! I hope you do more Voice Play reactions. You would love Voice Play's recent covers of "Valhalla Calling" and "Seven Nation Army".
Great reaction! Voiceplay is just the best!! Voiceplay: Hoist the Colours Nothing Else Matters Creep Geoff: Folsom Prison Blues Man of Constant Sorrow Sound of Silence
Thank you for revisiting Voiceplay! If you like to be surprised from their 'sound', I would recommend their version of "Seven Nation Army" (White Stripes). Real crazy beatboxing by Layne there, too. My personal favorite still is "Nothing Else Matters" (Metallica), because when I heard that the first time, I was completely stunned by their version (and I still am). I could not have imagined an a cappella version of the song.
I'm gonna recommend 2 don't miss songs from VoicePlay: Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters" and "Valhalla Calling" which is a Viking song. Both are freaking epic! ❤ Also the bass has his own channel and there's some crazy good stuff on there too. He recently covered "I See Fire" from the second Hobbit movie and it's spectacular. He really shows off his range (dude can be an Acapella group all by himself). Really enjoyed your reaction to this!! ❤
Loved the reaction, great that you have visited the VP 'rabbit hole'! One thing though - you don't need to cover or 'blur' their videos (or Geoff's work), as they don't block any reactors! For something completely different, try their cover of 'I Can't Make You Love Me', 'Golden Hour', 'Running Up That Hill' (from Stranger Things). 'In My Room' or ANY of their Disney and game-related covers, such as the 'Halo' theme, or 'Dragonborn Comes' from Skyrim - basically, you can't go wrong with ANY of their work! 😊
So many good covers by Voiceplay. I like best " Valhalla calling", "Creep", "Seven nation army", "Hoist the colors"and "My mother told me", just to name a few of them. You probably have noticed that the bass is the same guy as in the cover of "I see fire", you recently reacted to. Btw loved your reaction, it is so enthusiastic. 😀👍
They just recently dropped a cover of Radiohead's 'creep' - and it is EPIC!!! There's also 'Seven Nation Army,' 'Valhalla Calling,' 'Nothing Else Matters'... and many, many more, but these are a good start.
Hey Adam! The bass singer for this group is Geoff Castellucci and he is inhuman with his range and how low he can sing... If you wanna hear more from him he does release his own covers of songs where he sings all the parts if you wanna check those out!
Just a note or reminder that Voiceplay is completely Independent. They own their own recording company so there’s no need to blur or cover their videos. The WANT people to react to and share their creations.
Nothing else matters, hoist the colours, Valhalla calling those are some of their more popular ones 💜 geoff castellucci, the bass, also just released his version of folsom prison blues which is incredible 💙
Metallica's Nothing Else Matters, Aerosmith Dream On, HALO theme, Hoist The Colors, and Valhalla Calling. Pick anything. The bass Geoff Castellucci just released Folsom Prison Blues.
What to react to next... Well, I'd like to suggest two different "series" of songs. One is their "Viking" series. Chronologically, "My Mother told me" first, and then "Valhalla calling"... The latter is originally by "Miracle of Sound", who actually posted under their video and gave it "10 raised alehorns out of 10" for the most creative cover of his song. The other is their "post-apocalyptic trilogy": "Warriors" (Imagine Dragons), "Dream on" (Aerosmith) and "7 Nation Army" (The White Stripes), Plus a few others. You can't miss their version of Metallica's "Nothing else matters". And "I can't make you love me", or "Creep", or "Golden Hour", or "Hoist the colours", or "The Dragonborn comes". But everything they have on their channel is outstanding. 🙂 See you next time! 🙂
Some many you got to watch. Warriors, seven nation army, Valhalla calling, enemy, carry on wayward son, attention, my mother told me, hoist the colours, nothing else matters, dream on, if I were a rich man/girl, golden hour and all of their medley’s. Geoff Castellucci (bass) has his own solo channel as well and you can’t go wrong there either, listen to everything
Nothing Else Matters, Hoist The Colours, Valhalla Calling, Warriors, Hide and Seek, Creep, If I Were a Rich Man/Girl...can't go wrong with any of them!!
If you want to hear more of the bass/baritone member of the band, check out Geoff Castellucci's solo channel with covers of Sound of Silence, Folsom Prison Blues, Blackbird, Man of Constant Sorrow, Rains of Castamere, Ain't No Sunshine.. You will be surprised!
VoicePlay has created an apocalyptic trilogy over the last 3 yrs. Start with Warriors (Imagine Dragons), then Dream On (Aerosmith), end with Seven Nation Army (White Stripes), gaming video songs by VP - Dragonborn Comes Skyrim, Halo theme; Running Up That Hill (Stranger Things), Hoist the Colours (from Pirates of the Caribbean). As a general rule watch to the end of VoicePlay's videos, if you don't do that you will miss some good stuff, not all the time but often enough. VoicePlay will not block you - so play all of what they do - video and audio. It is part of their offerings to us and I love to see it.
If you wanna hear more of Geoff (the bass singer) you should check out his solo channel. He does all the parts in his solo songs. He does use instrumental backing tracks, but he make the tracks as well as singing. Geoff Castelucci
Yes, this is amazing! Though, so is everything else they do. 🥰 Welcome to the VoicePlay rabbit hole. Everything they've done this year is a must see and check out the minis too, they'll leave you ranting that they are not full length. 🤣
Lovely reaction. VoicePlay can do it all. It's impossible to choose to recommend, there are so many and all great. And if you don;t know yet, the bass, Geoff Castellucci, has his own channel of low bass covers which are equally impressive.
Which one to choose? Easypeasy! You only got about over a 100 of VoicePlay and about 20 from Geoff Castellucci's solo bass stuff to go through. Any of them will throw you. But I suggest to start with Nothing Else Matters cover fro Metallica from VP and Geoffs very latest Folsom Prison Blues to start you down that road... Though Geoff uses instruments in his soloworks, clones himself into 4-5 persons and harmonize with himself through his 5 octave range.😊😊😊
If you ask twenty VoicePlay fans what their best song is, ten of them are going to say whichever song was released most recently, and the other ten are each going to each give a different answer. Personally, I'm still stuck on Mountain King and Hoist the Colours.
Seven Nation Army would be my vote. And you just got a new subscriber. 😊 Also, you don’t need to obscure their video. They like reactors and they won’t give you grief for showing it.
You done a few Geoff too which on his RU-vid he drop it yesterday too, Any of their songs are good they also did Creep by Radiohead, Lots Disney stuff, Good 4 You, just name a few
Another great one. You are going to get a ton of VP suggestions and they are all good. So instead I am going to suggest an artist that you haven't reacted too yet. Jelly Roll: Save Me. Buckleup.
