Anytime I get into a discussion whether or not humans could survive in a fantasy world, I always think of weapons like this.

Imagine being a cop and showing up to a scene of a defensive shooting, where a burglar breaks into the worst possible home and looks like that 2nd zombie. Without the context of knowing the weapon, I honestly don't think that I would believe that a non-military gun did that (ie. not an Mk19).

What are you shooting that you need that? Graboids, deinotherium, a red dragon from D&D.....

My guess is the brass solid hit the spine in the first zombie and deflected, so it spalled through the second one, making the hole a lot bigger.

So you know fury is a shotgun it seems like a field piece but its not. It was ment for commercial duck hunting. And its called a punt gun because it was usually attached to a punt boat or something. Its not artillery.

It does not quite have the same hit the 4 bore did... the steel target that time simply shed the paint due to the energy transfer, while this time the shattering lead did carry off a small amount of the energy. But still very much not a rifle most of us could handle.
