Issac's knees are forcing him to step differently on his feet. Because of that the wear on the hoofs is different. Keeping him trimmed will help his knees as well.

Well said. Watching him walk tells you how his feet have grown. Keeping them trimmed will help his knee alignment.

They admitted to not trimming his hooves for years. The way Issac stands indicates that the poor maintenance is more to blame than his age. If you google goat - side view, leg - you'll see what I mean the ankles are too pronounced. Not unlike a person with bad ankles. His back hooves are not as badly overgrown as front but they could definitely do with some work.

Tractor supply has a linament for horses. I use it on my horses knee for arthritis. You can use it on any animal. It works great. Maybe apply some on your goat. It will give him relief and reduce swelling. I use it on myself, my other animals.

I absolutely love that Huston is getting some "dirt" education. I don't think that there is any better thing for a kid to be doing than building forts, exploring and in general just being outside and relying on their own wits. I agree with you that this is being raised right.

I love to see kids playing outdoors, way too many of them stuck in front of a screen and they don't know how to have a conversation except with their thumbs on their cell phones. Looks like Isaac is having a right rear problem probably arthritis or perhaps he was butted there and has a displaced hip. As far as the kids not wanting to be glued to electronics and going out and building a shelter, I am all for it. It sparks their minds to the possibilities of life instead of just dealing with electronics. Finding things outside and exploring the things in nature and experiencing the things on a farm or in the woods is a much more positive experience than anyone playing on a cellphone or gaming station.

This is how I grew up as well. On a farm and outside with livestock, in the woods climbing trees, hunting and fishing with my Dad. Didn’t have computers or cell phones, tv was on in the evening after chores and homework.

Gee that is awesome of Houston and his friend to build a fort. Unlike my sisters I enjoyed be out doors. I had a favorite tree to sit in. Always felt I was closer to God that way. The one thing I love most about the cows is there curly white hair. I sure enjoyed this and thanks. Love y'all

Huge improvement in his walk already . Great place to live out his days. You can purchase arthritic medications for animals. One of my dogs takes it every day. Merry Christmas Arms family.

I wish we had property where my grandson could build stuff like that. He loves to be outside. We live in a little subdivision. He builds all sorts of stuff in the back yard. Make his Pop crazy but keeps him entertained for hours.

We had a beagle once who thought he was a wiener dog, he went into a rabbit hole and had to be dug out. Once they got to him he still had that rabbit in his mouth. Best hunting dog there was. Certainly wouldn’t put my hand underneath that metal if it was warmer. I don’t like snakes of any sort. I agree with the kids being outside rather than in front of the TV or on a cell phone or handheld game. You provide a lot of information to folks that have never experienced the life that you’re sharing on your videos.

Great to see Houston n friend playing in the woods, building a shelter. Better for their health than inside playing. we had dauchunds too for years. Good show today. My kids were raised outside playing too. Rode dirt bikes all of us.. camping, hunting together, outdoor cooking, way before all this technology! Kids missing a lot these days. You n DJ are raising yours right.

That is how myself and my friend grew up. Of course in my day, we lived out in the country and we had no electricity or indoor water plumbing, so outside we went. We built forts, roamed deer trails, walked on homemade stilts and rode horses. We were gone all day so we would pack up a couple of jelly rolled pancakes for lunch to tye us over until we got home for supper. Lots of good memories I passed down to my kids also. Enjoy watching 👀 you and your son. Thanks for sharing.

When my daughter (now 26) was young we were residing our house. We took off all the cedar siding and it was in the back yard waiting to be taken away. My daughter and her 2 neighbor friends asked to use the siding. They built a cedar fort. They also used the old shingles off our roof. They built this in the tree line between both properties. They lived to sit in the to have lunch and play. It is still there, no longer standing well but don’t have the heart to take it down. Best lessons learned

Old Sage is called hedge in southern Illinois. When I was living there we heated with wood and I would put one piece of the hedge with oak and elm in the fire because hedge burns real hot. You are wise to try and rid the farm of them because they will take over the entire place if left to grow. We also had a lot of Multiflora Rose but our burro love the rose stems and in a matter of five years he cleared the entire farm of Multiflora Rose. We as kids went to the woods and old trails on picnics with our parents and we found so many "treasures'. learned a lot and had so much fun.
