But you can understand that there is a global hatred towards Muslims globally, no? I've seen a Muslim woman in the street get harassed by a group of teens and then had her hijab removed by one of the girls in the group. Not to mention that alot of them are still oppressed by their own communities and families since they have western values in a Muslim household. I live in a Muslim household in Canada but, I told my parents that I'm atheist and oh boy... I ended up going to a hospital and had to find an apartment to live in and rent. That was a while back and my parents have changed now(they think I only said that because I was insane). They hold out hope that I'll become a true Muslim one day and I'm pretending just so I can live with them. Once I get a real job or married( to someone of a different race that's non-muslim probably) then I'm out. These people may not live in your situation with your level of problems but that doesn't make their problems any less significant. It would be best to show compassion regardless.

My best friend of 9 years is Jewish and bi and I love her to pieces and I love listening to the stories of people and their beliefs of different religions. eh Actually, it depends on where you are. If you're in the UK, you are correct, there are more Islamophobic than antisemitic crimes. However, it is much more likely if you are a Jew that you will be subjected to violence than if you are a Muslim. In the US, and especially in France, antisemitic crimes actually dwarf anti-Islamic crimes (not that those are rare either, of course).
Would any women who AREN'T Muslim like to run a little experiment that involves wearing a Hijab for a month and documenting their experiences? You could just grab any scarf you already have and just put little things you notice behaviorally pertaining to your surroundings in the notes on your phone and after a month you can send me what you gathered? Or whenever you wish to to stop the experiment if you would choose to stop prematurely. Please I really want to make this happen! I was honestly expecting to read supportive, generous comments after finishing watching the video, but I'm in disbelief and I'm in shock. I'm an American raised Muslim and all I've gotten from the moment I was born is hate from people I don't know about my religion. I've argued and argued in the past trying to get people to understand, but you can't change ignorant, stubborn minds. I see people saying one surah from the quran that looks bad, but in actuality if you read the surahs surrounding it, it will be explained.
