Nissan has the patent for overhead view, Tesla's attitude to patents means they would be reluctant to license it. It has taken Tesla a while to develop a unique patent free approach
This has got to be the BEST comparison review of Rivian V Cybertruck anywhere on the Internet. I've watch a ton of reviews since the delivery event. Excellent job. Thanks.
Well all great owners insights. I feel I agree with all you shared. Going forward, I would be happy to keep the truck you have now, that said if it were me is I would be open to sell it and you should have an easy sell, but getting the right price would be key. Now getting cyber is not a given as for how long you would have to wait, but as you know, if you order ALL OPTIONS you have the best chance in getting it early. That battery exstender would be a no brainer for it being able to supply house. Now to put you finger on the scale to tip it into that direction, it would help greatly in uping your channel. Wow, seeing you sharing a drive to California would be a real roadtrip. Good luck in whatever you do. Always interesting watching your videos. 👍
Hi Brandon! Thank you for this fair and balanced comparison between the Rivian R1T and the Tesla dual motor Cybertruck. I really enjoyed it and I learned several things as well.
Excellent comparison. One thing that looks nice in the cybertruck is that it sort of kneels down so that it’s easier to get in Btw. I have been watching since you had a volt. I bought a volt. Then you had an S. I bought an S. Now I have a Y and a mini Cooper se.
I’m sure there is a market for both but I prefer the Rivian R1T over the cyber truck as it’s less conspicuous but still head turning and appeals to my more practical and conventional needs.
I love the seating in the Rivian. The Model X seats are a little too narrow for me now. They have been updated by now though, and I'm sure Cybertruck has different seats
The Rivian's looks like a European toy car where they wanted the front end to give sort of a happy, playful appearance. Just looks like something is missing. Performance wise, I've seen Rivian's do well in some cases but lack severely where it counts.
True, but the majority of revenue comes from Cybertruck purchases will be generated by a huge group of people who only wants the unique features that only Cybertruck has. People who compare Cybertruck with other traditionally shaped trucks are just a small fraction of the buyer pool. @@Teslavangelist
