Press Triangle to dash. The Hydra would have been a little better to deal with but still annoying. Considering how hard I find the bosses that would be the only advice I can give.

Miranda, I think you may have forgotten a few combat mechanics. The enemy attacks that flash yellow cannot be blocked or parried. You must dodge them or get far away. Additionally, the yellow diamond pips below an enemy's health and shield gauges is their balance gauge. Every time you perfect parry an attack, one pip will go away. If you remove all the pips, the enemy becomes groggy and you can press triangle to perform a high damage move called a retribution.

Definitely focus on getting to the retribution attack whenever possible on the tougher enemies- whereas a flurry of your normal hits may knock off 5% of their life, a solid retribution can eliminate as much as 25%.

I think in general the VAs sound a lot better later on, but yes Lily also has the most emotions in her voice. Another character, that starts with an "R" also has such fitting voice. @@LuriTV

Hi. I don´t know if you take any Gameplay tipps but here are some you might have missed because you got the tutorials for those already but don´t use the skills yet. 1. If you are on the floor you can stand up faster with circle. 2. If you are a few meters away from the enemies just hold triangle and you can charge them. 3. Yellow attacks means just to evade them (run out of the way or perfect dodge them) 4. I also noticed you haven´t equipped the Exospine. You upgraded it but you have to equip it for it to give you the bonuses. I love your playthrough so far. Have fun.

Glad I wasnt the only one to have trouble with this boss! This was the first time I realized I was just button mashing fights, so I had to learn to time movements. Still had to use all my potions and a grenade, but the realization helped a lot!

That vehicle you were thinking of is called the Hellfire Tank. There are not a lot of planets that can accomidate it, which is why it was only on Geonosis.

Great work defeating Abaddon at the start, you did so much better than me, especially considering you hadn’t unlocked the skill that makes perfect parry easier. I don’t usually play these type of games because I suck at anything requiring timing and rhythm, but this game sucked me in and I’m having tons of fun with it + a whole heap of frustration (see previous note about timing)

Hey mirandalorian the yellow dots under their health bar is their stagger meter, you bring it down by performing perfect parry, once down you get to perform a devastating attack with a triangle prompt

Something I found nice with this game is that due to the combination of me dying a lot and also needing to rest all the time, so respawning enemies, is that I got lots of xp, and therefore sp, early on to boost my skills. Also the training option stopped me quitting after I got lots of incorrect button combinations stuck in my head. It allowed me to relearn the correct buttons stress free

Yay i‘m so glad you got hooked on this game too. I‘m very bad at these kinda games, but i fell in love and just have to play it. And die a lot 😂 Thanks to you i realize how many things i missed cause i was scared of the combat 😅 Also i noticed you never used your rush ability to close the gap between you and the enemy, just press and hold triangle and eve will rush to the enemy so you don‘t have to sprint to get closer to them. Its the little blue glowing botton on the right side above the attack cross.

The chest in Bar 99 is part of a quest you will get in Zion, the main hub of the game. Press O to get up faster after getting knocked down. Also, you can interrupt the yellow move with a beta hit

So happy this game hooked you the same way it hooked me hahaha! The story seemed a little weak but it starts snowballing soon. I've seen your GoW play throughs and you're sooo much better at the combat in those than I am. I'm doing okay with this game so I think in a few episodes you'll be an unstoppable mofo!! You really are addicted to this game aren't you!! Two uploads in a row! Yesterday and then the new one today!! I hope I grow to like this series more as it goes, I wasn't the biggest fan of episode 1 because there is just so much going on and I don't know anything so I can't get into it too easily but it does look fun. I like exploring and I think the cutscenes and outfits are cool. I am not big on this type of gameplay to watch or play but who knows could be something I end up really enjoying later one :D

I rolled credits last night and i couldn't be more happy with my time spent in this game. A lot of reviews I watched were good but still seemed lukewarm because of Nier but having never played it, I don't feel that way at all. I loved it and this is for sure in my top 3 games this year.

I'm a lot like you in getting a bit button mashy, you'll get used to knowing when to stop so you're able to parry and dodge. It reads your next input. The only thing I've yet to stop myself from doing is panic dodging so all the dodge > attack combos I can't actually do since I just dodge twice lol~ but I'm approaching the end of the game. It's amazing~ There are so many cool moments in the game I can't wait to see you react to them. The game is very forgiving honestly and offers tons of tools that make the game easier in a lot of ways as well. There's a gear or exospine I forget which that even makes it easier to parry and dodge too. So it's not just skills that allow that. No XP loss is huge part of why this game isn't too bad to get through for me. You die you still got all that XP so you can get more powerful without needing to go find the XP first. It's pretty much just an action game overall, but with cool Soulslike bosses. I haven't played Sekiro but people say it's more like that in combat. This has made me want to finally play Sekiro though since it's forcing me to parry when otherwise I usually just dodge everywhere.

You should definitely Memorize all of the combos, especially the longer ones ASAP. When timed right you can interrupt an enemy's attack. Something that's really worth knowing is that when you use reflection and counter they use one block of beta energy. So if you use it often you won't be able to use your beta skills as often. Finding a balance is really important.

Also Pro Tip @mirandalorian ... You can Hold L1 throughout the attacks that are sequential and it will block them all. Took me further down the road to figure that out lol, i though i had to time it every time.

For the chain exospine, you need to use any combo *other* than the 4 squares or 3 triangles in order to get the bonuses. It doesn't work on the level 1 combos, only level 2 or higher. FWIW, I find that the Sq - Tri - Sq - Tri combo goes nice and quick like the 4 squares, but it benefits from the damage bonus of the spine, so it's worth a LOT more to me to use it. I'm also very fond of Tri - Sq - Hold Sq - Tri combo. The 5- button combs are harder to squeeze in, imo, but the 4-button ones are fine.

The very next go you did it anyway.... huh, who needs grenades?!?! 😂 No damage video is definitely doable if you avoid all enemies, Jk! 🤣 I can totally see you mastering the combat and kicking all kinds of butt! I don't understand the passcodes. Don't get me wrong, I like the idea. But what is the point of trying to remember them at all when you can just have them show you the answer with a hint before you even try to type it in? I know you have to first find the passcode, but once you found it, why not they just automatically enter it for you since they give you the answer anyways when you ask for the hint?

Out of all the puzzles I’ve come across that bloody rail power grid one was the most confusing to me. For some reason it took me so long to work out the middle placement shared the power to the two columns equally

Hi. Just found your channel, and i absolutely love your energy/vibe. You are so much fun to watch. I love how into this game you are. You said something about a JRPG earlier and no. This game is nothing like that. Lol What i really like about this game is that it's somewhere in between a souls game and an action adventure game. I have no doubt you'll be able to beat the hell out of this game. It gets easier as you master the parries, dodges, and badass retaliations. Eve is such a badass.

The one I’m also looking forward to in August is Black Myth Wukong. That is a game that has been under my radar ever since its announcement. But for now, some Stellar Blade!
