@bulldawgslays3724 Yeah that's the new standard that's fine-ish but AU$200 (US$130 i think) for a "Ultimate" edition that feels like a Deluxe edition is wild.
I can't wait for the hidden reveal that she had force powers, and with the season pass you can unlock the skill tree for a lightsaber. 70 bucks to become a mere imitation of Cal.
Rather than how ugly a character looks, the real reason to be mad about the game is that a Jabba the Hutt mission in a game called Star Wars OUTLAWS is only available with a Season Pass
I honestly think this complain got way out of hand. Is 130 dollars crazy and disgusting price? Yes absolutely. But people act like its only way to meet Jabba. What i understand its just 1 mission from him. There is other missions from him included in base game
@@notobi-wan8344 I don't care how much content is locked behind the paywall, but a day one dlc in any shape or form is disgusting, I will not be buying
@@flame_zzl I agree with that. Im just saying people blew that up way too much. Like original comment made it sound like only Jabba mission is locked behind paywall. Although im ready to say im wrong if that is indeed case
" All I want is to live free " unfortunately for you dear MC you're in a ubisoft game you'll spend you're entire life going from point A to point B to do a thing a random NPC wants you to do to unlock a thingamajig you'll need to progress the story
Why would you want him to come back? Everyone complained about Ventress coming back. Besides, Maul's death in Rebels was one of the best scenes in all of SW.
Spoilers for Season 3 of Star Wars Rebels: In S3 E20 "Twin Suns," Maul finally fought Obi-Wan Kenobi again on Tatooine after Ezra left to find a way back home. After a brief duel, Kenobi sliced through Maul's lightsaber and fatally wounded him through the heart. After one of Maul's final words, "He will avenge us," he died in Obi-Wan Kenobi's arms.
@OrionDawn15 I think so. EA's contract was expired, and an article said it would go to Ubisoft. And because of how Assassin's Creed Mirage was (good visuals, mid story, and sh^t dialogue) and that statement from Ubisoft that "gamers need to be fine with not owning their perchases" it will likely suck in a few areas. I just hope they keep the old directors and writers.
@@ThreadBareHope1234 I doubt that'll happen. Well, it was nice knowing this franchise. It was already in the gutter, but I won't forget what good it did give us.
@OrionDawn15 Things could change. I won't get my hopes up that Ubi will despense a banger, but yeah im about done with Dtar Wars too. Genuinely not sure why I keep checking in
The whole talk about wanting freedom made me realize this trailer might just be playing up cliches and the actual game story might just be a lot more hollow.
Game costs 3x hell divers and is gonna give a quarter of the content, but star wars fans are doomed to get shit content forever cause we keep buying it
only some of you buy it, i wont be buying this, i refuse to spend anything over 100dollars NZD. this game is 140NZD lmao no one in the world should pay anything over 100nzd for ANY video game.
yeah but those are more like semi-open world with linear paths like god of war 2018, whereas i think this is meant to be more like assassins creed or far cry open world
Oh my god...that would have been awesome, Phee started as a "meh" character but she's been growing in us season 3, why not using her? Her whole episode in S2 with the zeffo stuff was boring af...but because it was in the bad batch show, but a game of seeking relicks? Some Tomb Rider stuff in star wars with Phee? IT'S A GOOD IDEA MAN
Hell, if they wanted to make a random new character I would've killed to play as that Commando Droid in the trench coat, he looks so badass and way more interesting than the protag we got.
They had it, goddammit. An interesting and really cool looking character, and instead they chose to tick a box rather than be creative. I'd probably pay to play as him if this game wasn't overpriced already.
"So I'm gonna risk it all" If I'm understanding right, she doesn't have much to risk to begin with..? Being a scoundrel who nomads with a droid, its not really like being an exiled Jedi who has to live in hiding lol
7:24 this is the only real part that concerns me. I’m getting flashbacks to the 2014-2018 era of the gaming industry where companies would be announcing expansions and other dlc before the game has even released. And in reality most of the time those expansions were simply just content deliberately cut from the base game cough cough DESTINY cough cough
@Slacker28 Plenty of single player games have season passes for story expansions. Spider-Man PS4 comes to mind for one example. Also, you're changing your argument from "this shouldn't cost $30" to "single player games shouldn't have season passes"
@@krajicsek13 they're trying desperately to link with Palps resurrection. Granted when they don't do that it's awesome but I see what they're trying to do
I really don't get how he can look at this and not expect a repeat of the others. The others at least looked good with the trailers, acolyte and outlaws look awful from the get go.
This game to me just seems fine and that's it. Plus I'm a weird SW fan and don't usually find myself super interested in non-Jedi/Sith focused stories (I have a space wizard bias).
@@Jedishill680 There's still non Jedi Sith characters I really enjoy (Cad Bade, Chewbacca and R2 to name a few), but the Jedi and Sith are pretty much the driving forces of the series, so I always cared about them more. It's why I haven't really been interested in a lot of Disney's media combined with not really being a TV show guy save Tales of the Jedi or Sith.
When your friend keeps putting uncooked meat on a table and giving it to you, and you keep eating it and throwing up and regretting it, you gotta stop eating food that friend gives you.
@@flame_zzl fr bro the amount of star wars games that create a beautiful setting and fill it with cool aliens and droids and then force you to play as John Q. Human is fucking insaaaane
This is not the case. If the game is going to be good, noone will voice such complaints. If it will be bad, there will be better arguments to shit on it. Most likely the last
it looks like it takes place around episode 3 close to the events of episode 4 in which Maul isn't part of the syndicate around that time due to the events in Rebels S2-4
And they slotted the game in the slim time frame when han solo is a peice of furniture, instead of having it be before the og trilogy and possibly having some good fun with han. At this point i wouldnt be supprised if the main character could interact with han in carbonite just to shit talk him
I disagree. While this game does look garbage, there is a whole year between V and VI. not a slim time frame. Also it is a barely explored time frame in canon as opposed to between III and IV, where like everything is set.
I vastly disagree. The time period between Empire Strikes Back and Return Of The Jedi is extremely unexplored. An entire year went by and a lot of stuff happened. It's a perfect era for the game.
Gave up on Star Wars a long time ago. Gundam is my best friend now. Hasn't let me down yet, and if it does I still got like 10 other great Gundam shows I've yet to watch/read.
A game needs to be made about starting as a mandalorian foundling. You slowly gain access to more gadgets and weapons depending on what skills and class you focus on.
@@Yuri144Shambles Dune it's great but i don't think it has much to "expand" like SW, maybe Warhammer or we may get lucky and companies start to capitalize less popular franchises like The Expanse, Firefly, etc
ZANNY I BEAR GREAT NEWS FROM THE KING! The king declares that you, Sir Zanny (the cheddar knight) have been called to arms in Kingdom Come Deliverance II (the game was announced weeks ago)
I try to looka at it like this, the more blunders like this we go through, the closer we are to KOTOR 3, Jedi Knight 3, Force Unleashed 3... they're gonna have to make them eventually after all of this fails.
My breaking point was when Disney attempted to say "there's no source material to go on" after declaring the Expanded Universe is no longer canon. Every star wars fan I've met still considers it canon. That was before Ep 7, and Ep7 ended up being trash because of it.
I am surprised the head of Ubisoft is not sitting amongst the other crime bosses for the price they are attempting to charge us for and could rip it out of our hands years later when they deemed it “too expensive” to even exist.
I don’t think the game looks to bad i definitely don’t agree with the prices what so ever or the fact some things are locked behind a pre order I’m guessing this is gonna be a thing like most games where you can play the stuff that is locked behind pre orders later down the line haven’t played much Ubisoft games last thing I played from them was black flag I’ll play this but don’t think I’m gonna pre order I like the space to ground mechanics and gameplay looks decent one thing I will say is it would of been a lot better if they had it where you could customise your own character male or female and just have one male name one female name instead of it being just female got nothing against female antagonists and stuff like that I’ve just never really liked playing as a female character in games that’s just me
To me it’s jarring to have both a male and female version of a character. In terms of story it just breaks my immersion. If it’s a nameless, mute protagonist from something like Elden ring, sure. But if you want the character to have depth, I don’t think it works.
@@acojo8205 It worked for Mass Effect. Despite Shepard being a custom insert, the character is looked upon fondly by the fanbase as a separate character of their own.
@@nitbot2385 Thing is, Shepard's more of a vessel for the player and than an actual character. They have no concrete lore or story since whatever backstory they had and how the games played out was up to the player. Not a bad thing, of course. And I'm not disagreeing with you either, just saying.
@@OrionDawn15 I'd argue that Shepard isn't a complete blank slate and has some of their own goals, resolve and development throughout the games unlike true blank slate protagonists like the Vault Dweller or the Dragonborn that have absolutely nothing in ways of character other than what the player wants to roleplay as. Choices like choosing to work for Cerberus is not a choice the player can make but is a choice that Shepard the character makes to achieve their own set goals and resolve of preventing the Reaper invasion. Shepard hits the sweet spot between being their own character in the story while choices by the player fill in the holes to make it "your" Shepard unlike most other static self insert protagonists.
@@flap.d.jack247 The only one i can think from the Disney era is Jyn Erso and maybe that clone girl from Bad Batch since people seems to like it but i haven't watched the show Edit: now that i think about it a game about Jyn Erso before Rogue One would had been cool instead of this but i bet Disney and Ubi would had screwed it in some way
Bro why in the world has the whole gaming community turned into dumbasses😭😭 I’m skeptical of the game but why is everyone calling this a live service? SEASON PASS is not a BATTLE PASS. Arkam knight literally had a season pass as well, single player games have had these for yearsss
Seasons are updated EVERY SEASON. Therefore, by literal definition, it's a live service. Not sure you should be calling people dumbasses lmao. Yes, Arkham Knight in that regard, would also be considered a live service. So is Helldivers 2. It's not always a bad thing, it just has an awful stigma because of EA's Anthem which is when a lot of the backlash started.
@@IIMiikexDII holy shit what???? have you ever even played a game with a season pass??? Seasons are NOT updated every season. Arkham knight had 1 season pass that allows access to every single piece of dlc that came out for the game. As is the case with every other single player game with a season pass. They give you access to all DLC content. It’s not multiple season passes🤣🤣🤣 I genuinely can’t believe you hopped in this talking without knowing anything you’re discussing, no that is not live service. Live service is a continuous effort to keep a game going. Games getting dlc in general does not make them live service. There was a plan for dlc, they fulfilled their plan and made all of it. And that was it. Everything came in the season pass. Please be educated before trying to talk to someone about “literal definition” dumbass

It's equally extremely annoying and impressive as i watch the number rise everyday. But I think Zanny needs more dedication, send him a free code or some shit, you need to re-evaluate your process to get him to notice, even tho his editor probably reads the comments and not Zanny.
