Thank you bro really appreciate all your messages even when I don’t do videos about electric mobility always happy to see you in the comment section and yes happy to get a wheel again on the channel will be good if at least I could get all the new wheels from inmotion that would be amazing
Thanks a lot for the review! I’m glad you’re back and hope you’ll get well soon. This first impressions are really helpful to compare both model. I’m also glad you are reviewing a medium sized, yet capable wheel while everyone run after 50mph behemoths. I was more than happy with my v11, still think this is one of the best wheel ever released. It’s gorgeous and packed with useful features. I’m impressed how thin and lightweight it is for what it is capable of. I wish they kept it black with its original sounds (piezzo beepers are very effective for alarms but sound cheap for the rest). The controller and BMS upgrade are more than welcome on this new model though. Can’t wait to watch your riding review, even if it’s not soon. Cheers mate 👍
Man I have to say first of all that your words feel my heart and happy to see so many of you guys to see me back doing euc content like I said I hope that this shows to inmotion that I still have a lot to give to the community and they can send me the new models in the near future like the v14 and also the rumours of a v12 pro… I completely agree with you about how beautiful the v11 is I called my v11 the bat wheel because it reminds me Batman.. and also I prefer the all black solution but is what it is
No man I never gave up electric unicycles is a way of living for me but unfortunately I know where I live and what is available for me so I had to adjust and if I have the possibility to review a euc why not but if not I can’t invent them so I need to continue to make the dream alive that is to make videos on RU-vid :)
Thanks Marco, great video! The V11Y updates look very good. Yes, I like the fact, that one can slip a helmet through that handle, when walking or parked. If only they had made a little cover that pops out, in the top area of the saddle, making it easier to pump up the top shock absorbers. My V11 is all good, 16,000km later.
Thanks for sharing, I have been waiting for a review of the V11Y. Bit disappointed we loose the USB charge port... and I'd be spray painting black over that orange for sure!
Thanks a lot for this unboxing and yes we want a full review ! Good to know you're back in the V11 game and hope you'll recover fast. The lack of USB port could be a no go for me because i am powering a tracker from the inernal socket power pin...
Great composition video! Currently there is no V11Y reviews so looking forward to your detailed review and comparison, in torque, range, etc; it will be a hot video
welcome back! looking forward to more of you this year. also so sorry to hear about your wheel, but you could make a vid explaining how to cope with PEVs and an injury. Get well soon brother
@@MADpack At least 1 rear led board, 1 motherboard (for nothing), rusty bearings, bearings seals, saddle parts incl. frame, cobra handle, charger male socket twice, shocks tubes several times... + many tweaks and adjustments...
This is a tribute on how good the V11 is. You owned 2, and have a 3rd. It is also one of only 3 "best sellers" of all current and past wheels on the Ewheels website. My personal V11 still runs and looks great after many miles - no issues; and of course - instead of InMotion making a replacement version, they updated something that is already good. Thanks for doing the review, and your knee will get better in time when the weather gets sunnier, the days are longer, and you'll be riding your new V11Y - "Y" meaning "YES!"
First of all thank you for sharing your experience with the v11… how many miles have yours? And thank you for the wishes of getting better I hope in maximum one month to be back on one
Just crossed 4,000 on the v11. (sharing total miles across 3 other EUCs) I found other V11s out there (when the Inmotion leaderboards were still up) that were well over 10,000.@@MADpack
Thanks for comparing the EUC:s! I’ve got the newest version of the older model, also a v10f and v5f. I know people have different desires and riding preferences. I like my EUC:s not to be so thick nor heavy. And I like to ride along relaxed and comfortable. For me the v11 feels heavy, knowing very well most people consider it a light wheel. I have a spine that demands me to keep it in shape and also avoid too heavy lifting in bad positions. Then again there’s the legal speed limit issue where I live. Last but not least, I cannot afford the most expensive EUC:s out there., since I pay for my wheels myself and work in public health care. I mostly miss the smart bms on the v11y, but consider myself lucky to be able to buy at least buy the v11 as a new ride for myself. The v11y hadn’t come out at the time I was buying. I wish you all the best, happy riding and that your knee will get good asap bro! Cheers from Finland 🇫🇮
Hi man thank you so much for your message and sharing your experience. I think inmotion have a winner here based on your experience and mine a lot of people don’t need more because per example for me safety is number one and the difference from a v11 or a more high end one is maybe imagine more 5minutes into my regular ride to work… is it worth it? Maybe not just would love to have sound wave on the v11 because I like it a lot
Brexit and a lot of changes on the market made me basically be out of business when we talk about eucs I had a massive burn out because of it because I just lost my business that took me 4 years 5 years to build from one of the 4/5 first channels to follow when talking about eucs I became a no body in a question of months… believe me was painful to see basically my babe “my channel” dying and not be able to fight back… Now I accept better what happened embraced tech in a more general way helping other people beside the euc market and if a wheel comes to my door let’s talk about is better one wheel a year than nothing :)
Oooh nice didnt notice the longer mudguard, and didnt know about improved light and battery monitoring with the Raptor controller. These updated versions of V11 and V12 will be great to refine the models. Hopefully with no major added costs.
Definitely a massive benefit of buying an inmotion wheel because they invest in there line of wheels so that give us more reensurance to have parts for a long time
On V11 the suspension has been improving overtime without much marketing. But I have noticed better internal lube and also the valves were replaces by A/C type valves. Something I imagine V11Y has it from day 1. No USB port is sad. Like the replacement of the speaker by a buzzer. But the default pedals are better, the controller is top. Able to be set by software to about 200V, so running at 84V it will be more than relaxed, enduring for long time on the V11Y. More speed, way more torque, even more weather insulation, can be "fast charged" at 10A (double than V11), and the smart BMS are a great addition. An overall great vehicle with plenty of features without being bulky nor heavy. After trying many models, my V11 is still my favorite and keeps going on greatly. Thanks so much for sharing and please take care of your knee. 😉
The problem with the V11 and the older EUC's, is that they are plastic and made out of cheap quality. Nobody tells you this, but when you sit on the outer casing with a seat, the plastic on the inside breaks around the main bolts holding the unit together. I agree that most unicycles now are more big and bulky and less portable. That's why I bought the commander mini because I still have the portability and extremely high build quality. The whole unit is made out of steel and weighs about 88 lbs. I can still pick it up and bring it anywhere I want and put it in my car easily. Much better build quality than any plastic unit. Better performance and speaker. Much cheaper than the Patton with better specs. Less low-end torque but still a ridiculous amount but better overall speed.
@MADpack doing very well. I'm still using the v12 HS per your suggestion for commuting and loving it. Looking into this v11y for the lighter weight. Excited to hear more of your thoughts.
@jackskelington19 I’m really happy to know that until today I still made a difference for some of you guys I can’t wait to ride again really miss you guys :)
Love the V11 and happy to hear Inmotion improved it! I wish IM improved the handle by making easier to open with one hand. The pedals are a bit lower on the Y which worries me. Let us know how easy it is to scrape the pedals on tight turns and let us know if you can feel the difference in torque. Hope your knee gets better.
Thank you so much for your comment I will let you know my thoughts don’t worry I hope that soon I can test that and more but o my time will tell and on the 8th I will know the extension of the damage hopefully I can restart riding soon
I wonder if you can change those startup shutdown sounds in the app? I've been using EUC world for so long I havnt looked at the inmotion app in forever lol
Wow nice to see you back! I haven't seen review of the V11Y nowhere, would be awesome to have one! BTW you are no more riding the V12? Seems smaller to me... I have 6000km on my V12HT and it is still rock solid like new one. Also the tire is like new. I even know about people with 16 000 km on this tire! Love my V12HT :). I am also very interested in the V14 :).
At least for me the tire of the v12hs doesn’t last more than 1200km not talking about the one on the high torque that I think is what you are talking about. And on off road tires is normal they last much more.. I still ride the v12 but not for work because of the locker situation
Thanks for a great video. Do you know if it's possible to turn the on/off sound off or turn the volume down so that you no longer hear it? I don't like wheels making more sound than they have too. On my KS18XL I cut the cable to the buzzer to get rid of the noise.
You guys are spoiling me today thank you so much guys I can’t express more my than you is already the second super thanks on one video and also it never happened before beside lives so really really thank you man appreciated all you support even when I don’t make euc content thank you so so much bro
Hi there thank you for your comment David. Unfortunately I don’t have that chance the only brand that have interest to find a way to send me there wheels so kingsong definitely is not a possibility at the minute
What ever happened to the Inmotion watch? They could have changed the industry w/ that watch. I am a fan of Inmotion’s engineering, but I don’t know if they can continue their success without Bob Yan. It’s great to have you back!
Hi there thank you for your comment. The watch was basically killed project since day one because they never made it compatible beside the v11 so on the v12 was already not compatible. And yes was so good to make a euc video again so so happy about that
@@MADpack yes it was not finised at all. I personally tested it for months and was very disaponted that the time/day parameter was lost every time you run out of battery.
@Laic I miss this too man this is a one off at least for now let’s see what happens next bro would be nice to at least be able to review all new wheels from inmotion
Hey Marcus great seeing you again! It's interesting I hurt my knee in 2023 as well and I gave it about 6 months to try to heal itself and it never did. I ended up going to an orthopedic surgeon who diagnosed it as a meniscus tear and I just had the meniscus surgery last month. I am now able to walk pain-free and it's healing very quickly because it's arthroscopic surgery. I don't know if that's the same situation you have going on with yours but just to give you a little bit of hope and direction that if it's not feeling better to go to an orthopedic surgeon who's a specialist and who could immediately diagnose you after you get an MRI on it. Definitely want to see a full review on this wheel when you feel well enough to do it.
Man thank you so much and happy to see you on the comments. Sorry for your injury and hopefully you will be back. At the moment I can walk a bit but after I start having pain on the back of my knee and on the inside part of it… is still a bit swollen even after a month and if I have my leg bend imagine for one hour sitting on a table after is really painful to get my leg straight again… just on the 8th I will know how I am
@@MADpack sounds very similar to what I had. The worst was sitting and then trying to stand up and you have to walk for like 15 steps before some of the pain goes away and then even when you're just walking around every step was sore to me and my pain was in the back and on the inside as well. The good thing is if it's a torn meniscus they know that 99% chance it will not heal by itself and that you have to have surgery but the surgery is arthroscopic so there's just a small cut on each side and it heals fast. I got on a one wheel yesterday for the first time in forever and it felt fine but I didn't want to push it. I'm not ready for an EUC again yet and it's been one month since the surgery.
I have had also had a meniscus surgery, mine was from running, not EUC crash, I don't whether yours were from accidents with EUC, but if it is a meniscus, I had mine done last April 23, lots of physio and leg in a brace for months, but can happily say I have zero pain and I'm running again, so definitely would recommend having MRI and getting it looked at! Good luck with recovery, think I'm gonna stick too slow V8! 🙌
Awesome wheel. I was going to get the v12hs because it seemed to be the best value, but when i saw this thing i was like, same price, suspension, 18 inch, only 4mph less, you cant go wrong with this thing. As much as i want that extra 4 mph considering everything you get here it shouldnt even be a comparison. What are your thoughts on the inmotion drama going on right now?
Hi there once again thank you for your comment I have the v11, v11y and the v12hs and v12hs the v12hs is been my favourite wheel of all times from inmotion because it was a fun wheel fast but is not a raptor controller no smart BMs none suspension, worst front light in the other hand the v12 is super nimble, have speakers, have sound waves and bigger battery it depends what is more important for you the v12 pro is also coming out soon for some rumours I heard about so yeah have that in mind
I was about to order it but also like you i target 30 kg. And in that ballpark, you also have the S 16 from KingSong. 33kils but much more modern package
@@MADpack well in the ideal world, I would like to test them side-by-side ! So, not easy! Also I was wondering if the 11Y would suffer from first batches symptoms. And I wish you a good recovery.
@Anakena3 if you think about you have 3 batches of the inmotion v11 so a lot of things they have to be right because they had the chance to test it over the years like the cover protections for the bearings that I had to made my own ones on the gen 1 know comes included with the quality of the mudguard material if it makes sense… so yeah not super worried about issues with the v11y
what do you think about the fact that the peak performance is so much higher than the nominal? i think its the first wheel that has nearly 3x peak compared to nominal
@chibuikembah2802 and you are completely right thank you for that… all the around don’t move and even pressing on the light is hard to move so I completely didn’t notice that.. thank you once again for the heads up
Apparently this wheel is having issues according to ewheels. Some kind of bms issue where they're doing recalls. Which is a bummer cause the V11Y seems dope.
@@MADpack I’m not an expert but the guy was mentioning in the BMS. But again, I’m always cautious as this could impact a certain production not the entire. A Chinese reseller told me it has been fixed already. May be worth sending a message to emotion so they can confirm with your serial number
Some foolish RU-vidrs are criticizing Inmotion for upgrading their wheel but it is actually smart business. Like car manufacturers that put out upgraded versions of the same models every year or every other year. Those products become brands like the main company is a brand It is better to make a product and improve upon it, instead of making brand new products with no improvements.
5:45 NO! Bad advice, always FULLY TIGHTEN the bottom screw. If you don't, you risk bending the axle. Learn from my mistake, i bent too many axles before I understood it. Tightness of pedals is adjusted from the ends of the axle, loosen those if you want
Nobody is talking about axle or the side screws. I’m talking the screw that inmotion have in the middle of the pedal axle that made it hard or easier to open your pedals nothing else
@@MADpack the middle screw must be fully tightened, the axle must always stay in place and not move. The pedals must rotate around the axle. Tension of that rotation is controlled by the plastic ends on the side screws of the axle. From experience, letting the axle rotate leads to the axle bending, which leads to difficulty of its removal
@@MADpack yes, and this screw is intended to make sure that the axle doesn't move. At all. Not for adjusting the tension. Tension is adjusted via side screws and their plastic caps
@360vroomers i dont think is fault of been a lg battery to be honest but is more a question of how there wheels where handled. I had 2 v11 I sold my first one and the guy that bought it have ruin the wheel in about 2 weeks. On my hand never had a fall
@@MADpack i extended mine on V11 a little lower than centre of the wheel to prevent spraying on my back. But this one extends backwards a bit - need to see tests on dirty wet road to see how it works
@HerveDAGO just don’t know for how long but let’s enjoy this little victory to be able to review the v11y that made me so happy to put my hands on and the future will tell us what will come next bro.
