At the age of three in the middle of Russia's far northern Winter she was abandoned, injured, at a bus stop where she was rescued and sent to an orphanage. At the age of 5 she was still traumatized and unable to speak properly. A massage therapist who visited the orphanage trying to help kids, was the first to recognize something special in this little girl, and eventually adopted her. Diana was sent for singing lessons because it was thought that this might help her learn to speak without impediment. Only two years later she started singing in local theater, and in street plays and performances. And soon after was entered in a Russian TV music competition for disadvantaged children. The way I interpreted her rendition was; A spiral of obsession into madness. Totally unrelated to this performance, but her voice is so recognizable she should do voice acting. Diana seems to have the "key" to an emotional door in your soul which she just throws wide open and walks through! SO Diana took just the chorus, and *just two lines of it!* Then she slowed it right down, darkened it considerably, sang in a minor key, injected the Diana emotional factor and then sang from very low through to a very high crescendo and finished with massive power and a final high note right at the end!
