No, it's one of the most accurate depictions of how you feel when you're a high schooler falling in love with the one who you'll always look back on with mixed feelings. It was wonderful, it was important, you felt it with your entire soul. A decade later, you'll realize that all those things were true, but it was also a silly hormone-driven thing. Like how this song is a little silly when you realize it's just the emotions of a naive kid who will someday look back on this head-over-heels love with mixed feelings.

I love her interpretation in “cry while listening to Vocaloid”! The counterpart in the original version means “cry while listening to strange (or weird) songs” I guess if you translate it word by word. But she changed the “strange songs” to “Vocaloid”, like made it more specific. I. Love. That. It reminded me of my school days.

I think that when the original version refers to "strange" or "weird" songs, it refers the other songs of PinocchioP, which, are kind of special on it's own way, since these almost always speak about bizarre themes.

the thing i like about this song is that it captures the tone of what a teenage relationship in the 21st century is about, it dosent entirely consist of mindlessly texting eachother in the middle of the night, its about sharing experiences together and laughing about stuff, sure some of the stuff you do is stupid like watching youtube videos but its not about what you do, its about doing it with someone and enjoying it

at first i was confused by the use of the word "evil" in this song but when you think of it it makes sense. its not "evil" in the sense you'd immediately think. i take it to mean that they are both misunderstood, that others might call them "evil" but thats not who they are. they are lonely outcasts, i think thats what the word in this song's context means. anyways i love this song, i've been listening to it but i haven't commented yet i dont think so i figured it would. your voice is amazing.

The term evil might relate to their mental health as well: during the song it's clear that both of the characters are not fine and going through a hard time (if not mentally ill), during those phases in life people can get kinda egoistic and easily irritable which might make them look and sound like "evil", as the song says; also, irritability and such are common symptoms in mental illnesses like depression. This to say that they don't want to be mean and that, finding themselves in the same situation, her partner is able to understand her and her pain and see over that "evil facade" knowing well that she actually means no harm and is seeking for help.

the japanese wording for it is "warui hito" which literally translated to "bad human" or "bad people" which can mean "evil", but I take it as them being bad at conforming to the norms of "normal people"

They meet by a chance encounter and end up healing each other because even if they’re broken, even if they’ve been told they’ll never love with the way they’ve been hurt, they love each other. My best friend committed suicide recently, I thought about sending this to her over and over again but I never could. I’m not sure if you want to hear this or what I say will help, but my friend died three years ago and I found bittersweet comfort in this song. I can’t imagine how you’re feeling and what’s on your mind, but know it was never your fault or if there was anything you could do to stop her. One day, even though it feels you really won’t, you’ll heal I promise and things that remind you of her won’t hurt anymore and instead will remind you of fond memories with her. I’ve only recently started to heal, because just moving forward left the constant thought of them in my head. I really only came back to this song because these days I’ve dwelt in thoughts of them and how things could’ve been so different, something I suppressed for those years while “ grieving “. I really wish the best for you, you deserve the most and I hope you realize that again in time.

This song is so incredible. I love the use of the word evil. I have social anxiety and have basically been an outcast for my entire life. Nobody ever talks to me and even though I don’t think I’ve done anything wrong, often times I feel like I’m the evil one since people always judge me for being quiet and avoid me. this song means so much to me, because when i was having a hard time with depression over quarantine, an old friend from 7th grade randomly reached out to me through emails and we became best friends, bonding over vocaloid, bnha, and vtubers. i made one joke about being unhappy and she said she had to change it and that really hit me right in the heart for some reason. i got confused and thought the feelings of an insane amount of platonic love were romantic, and I think she did too. we had a short relationship before we decided to just be friends. our breakup was really chill, just a mutual agreement of her being like "lol actualy i dont really think im lesbian" and me being like "yeahhhhh i kinda was so surprised that an actual person cared about me that my brain tricked me into thinking i was romantically in love with you for a few weeks" and we still stayed friends. its a pretty good deal too, because she writes AMAZING fanfiction and i get to read it. but im so glad she was there when i needed her most, because im not sure id be alive right now if she wasn't also just to clarify: im still in love with her but not sexually or romantically, just platonically. like i want to fuck her heart in a bestie way sorry for sharing my entire life story in youtube comments, i just had to get all that out somewhere

I’ve only just found this song, but it already means so much to me. Sure, I’ve been into corny love songs recently, but as of now, I am deeply in love. This songs lyrics are actually really on point with how my current relationship started and works on a daily basis. Sure, it’s not perfect, but it’s us and I’m happy. People who don't fit in to society are treated as evil. "What is WRONG with you?" "Why do you behave like this?" "Who dresses like that?" "Why would you eat that?" "Just be a normal girl for once!" "You're a lost cause." And so on. Heard it so many times, in so many variations, been treated like an outsider throughout most of my life. Have to hide parts of who I am just to function. So has my partner... so this song hits somewhere nice in my heart. Cause well, maybe the two of us are evil according to the society we grew up in, but we're still able to be happy, we still have each other. And we can just be ourselves when we're together.

I discovered your channel and the entire sub-genre of english vocaloid covers entirely by accident last night. RU-vid recommend me this song and it hit me unexpectedly so hard in the feels. Anarcho-NEETism Similar thing happened to me. I’d heard of Vocaloid before, but the first Vocaliod I’d listened to was The Servant of Evil, and it lead me downs rabbit hole that I’m still going down. This song was one of the first I listened to, and it’s still one of the best

Hi guys... I'm Maki. I have a not so happy story connected to this song, and I'd like to share it, maybe I'd like for someone to read my comment and give me some advice... So, I always treasured online friendships. That's because somehow, in real life I'm an introvert and very afraid of judgement, while online I suddenly become an extrovert because I find many more people who have a lot in common with me. One of these people was a girl, we'll just call her H, not to reveal her real name. We were very close and planned to meet in real life at a comic fair I was going to with my parents. It was the first time for me, but not for her, so I was scared I couldn't meet her because of the crowd and the fact that I had never seen that city. During the journey I listened to this song on my MP3 player, silently praying that we would be able to meet. (She also listens to Vocaloid) And we did. I met H and we stayed together just for a few minutes, but it felt amazing to hug her and see her cosplay. At the time, I thought it was the best day of my life: not only was it my first time at a fair, but even meeting my online friend. That was exactly two years ago... A little later, we grew apart, but still remained in good terms with each other. A sort of "tradition" we had was that every time her birthday came, since I'm a singer, I would make her a cover of a song she liked as a gift. She turned 19 last month and as always I sent her happy birthday and she said thank you. Then a few hours later, I sent her the song, too. It was pretty hard for me to sing it but I gave it all I had. Her reaction? She just blocked me, not even answering me, not even explaining what I had done. I was extremely startled and saddened because of what I saw, it was even a period of my life where another friend betrayed me out of nowhere and things weren't exactly smooth with my best friends, either. I tried to make a mutual friend text her, but... Nothing. She didn't even open the message. And I really thought that she was my friend... After what happened, I still haven't listened to this song, or the one I covered for her because it would make me too sad. I lay awake at night thinking about this, especially because we never even fought, we never did anything wrong to each other. There is one thing she told me a few days before she blocked me... She got a boyfriend. It's her first relationship. Unlike her, I already had a relationship before but after I was left at the age of 16, while I was already depressed, I have been incredibly repulsed by the idea of love and felt like it was fake since then. My fear is that the fact that she has a boyfriend now might have changed her, and led her to leave all her friends behind because they weren't important to her anymore. H, if you're reading this, please know that I miss you and I would like to know where I have gone so wrong. And that I'm willing to give you another chance, and hope you will do the same, too.

Ugh... This sounds alot like an abusive relationship, just a hunch but abusive partners like to make sure their victem has nobody but them so they can fully control them so she maybe was either manipilated into it (seeing as its her first relationship she wouldnt know any better) or she was scared you implied you loved and seeing as she didnt want to mess up her relationship blocked you

Here I am, after months I came back to this song... So, here's an update. I found out she had Telegram (we never texted there) and sent her a Happy New Year text on December 31 and she replied. She told me that she couldn't explain why she blocked me, but last year was too much for her to handle and that it was not my fault at all. She then said not to reply to her text and completely forget about her. Of course we're not friends anymore, but you can't forget someone you spent years with overnight. I'm a little worried about her, and I just can't understand... But I will respect her choice.

Remember when I mentioned another friend blocked me in that same comment? Well turns out it wasn't intentional (it's a long story) and we reconnected. We are very close now, and I'm so grateful to have her.

This song is beautiful. Both the original and your cover. Didn't know any translations up to now, but now I like it even more than before. Made me feel a bit lonely, made me cry a bit and let me imagine having someone to live out these things described in it. This weirdly warm but hurting feeling... And then the song ended and Rachie teased me and asked if I really want this to be true...made me laugh and was just a little bit scary :D So all in all, thank you for this cover, Rachie. This reminds me of my best friend. We're both autistic, which I guess some people see as "evil," so the song kind of fits. I think I might like him as more than just a friend, but I'm not entirely sure what differentiates romantic love from platonic. I know the difference isn't sex, though, because asexual people can have romantic relationships, and people can have sex without loving each other. Plus, we're both asexual.

I'm also autistic. I don't know your circumstances and I'm not really qualified to give relationship advice, as I've never dated, but I say go for it. If you're both asexual as you said, then there's less pressure in the relationship if you become "more than friends." You're free to talk it out and decide what type of friendship/relationship you want to have. It might be romantic, or it might just be a tightly knit friendship. If you're actually uncertain how you feel, you could just couch it as "I think I might like you as more than just a friend, but I'm not sure how" and just see what his reaction is. I've had a few friends with romantic interest in me that I didn't reciprocate, but their telling me how they felt never ruined the friendship. Sorry if that's a lot, I hope it helps.

Me too. I'm a straight guy. I have never in my teenage years date a girl. I have fallen in love with some but I am never brave enough to start a relationship afraid of disappointments. But I did have a best friend, also a straight male, he has a girlfriend, that I love as a family. One day, he decided to just cut his connections with everyone for reasons unknown. I can't even reach him, he also broke up with his girlfriend. I was heartbroken. He was like a family to me, a big brother. Someone that I look up to. I feel like that he can't be replaced by anyone, he was that special. Looking back at it now, I still miss him. I feel like I really want to help him but I can't reach him.

I have listened to this song so often since it was released. So naturally it played when i was driving around with my (back then) girlfriend. She fell in love with the song too and added it to her playlist too. Since then always when we have to drive for a longer time we listen to it and it just makes us so happy. Life isn't perfect now and I still struggle with a lot of stuff but i wouldn't trade my wife for anything. She is the person that let me grow so much without ever hurting me and I am so thankful for that. So when we made our rings it was an easy decision for us to put this song as engraving. Her ring says 'I'm glad' and mine 'for us two'. So Rachie if you someday read that: Please know that you make a lot of people happy with your music. Thank you for singing this song!

I've had this on loop. Whenever they say "Just as if it was our first love", I sometimes mishear it as "Just as if it was our first life". Paired with the lyrics "though this life is useless anyway", it kinda makes it sound as if they had multiple lives (somewhat of a quasi immortality where you die but then come back to life), which is a really cool concept. I guess the TV series Doctor Who already kinda does this concept though.
