It's been a whole summer of fun with many trains, people, pacers, places, castle, teas, when we all went to #HaveAnAdventure ... everything! THANKS TO EVERYONE! Especially the Kickstarter backers and our essential backup team. Here's a little bit of good news though ... this won't be the last video on the 'All The Stations' channel. So stay subscribed (in fact .. press SUBSCRIBE! if you've not already done so), and keep your eyes peels for something very very soon ... Love to you all, Geoff & Vicki.
Looking forward to what is still to come! Thanks for the great entertainment over the last three months or so. I'm off to Scotland by train next year, sleeper is already booked!
Thanks for a summer of fun and learning. Planning a birthday round trip for one of the coming years now: Plane from Copenhagen to London City to tick off one of the London airports I’ve yet to try, then the sleeper to Edinburgh, then a train to Aberdeen a day later, and finally a plane back home. Wouldn’t have thought of that possible adventure without All the Stations.
Thank you so so much for making this and thanks to the entire team of planners, drivers, composers, editors and advisors to get this show on the roa....RAILS! I am gonna miss the steady stream of ATS updates, but I am looking forward to All the Castles, all of them, all the castles... I got the distinct impression that this video was paced a bit slower (all the pacers, stupid pacers...) as the journey came to an end. You've done it. congrats!
I feel a bit melancholy now that your journey and this series is over. You taken me to parts of Britain that I did not know existed, and given me a whole fresh new perspective on those parts that I thought that I knew. I looked forward to each new episode, and you two who would brighten my day. Good luck to you in whatever you will do in the future. .
Maybe one of the best, if not best railways documentary's, I've ever watched! Even better than Great British Railway Journeys. Sorry Michael Portillo. You need to up your game!!
Actually reminds me a little bit of Michael Palin too, on his 80 days around the world and then his Pole-to-Pole. But an acknowledgement to Michael Portillo as well. I also look forward to seeing Race Across the World return to the BBC sometime after COVID-19 has been brought under some kind of control.🤞🙏
Many many many thanks to Vicki and Geoff for these brilliant videos. It's been a delight to share your adventure, and I hope there will be more in the future!
I will admit, there was a tear of happiness that wanted to come out from my left eye when you got to Wick, It was possibly one of your videos which I did not want to watch because I didn't want it to be over, but I watched it anyway, congratulations Geoff and Vickie on your success of completing all the Stations. you are legends!
I started your adventure on the first day of San Francisco's shelter in place order. Six weeks later, I have reached the end. Getting out and exploring Great Britain by rail has been an interesting way to spend some of my time stuck inside. Your charm and excitement, the pair of you, are infectious and have made the journey a wonderful distraction and a reminder that there is a whole world full of adventures waiting for each of us when the Distancing is lifted. You make me smile. Thanks for having me along for the ride!
The best RU-vid series I've ever seen (by a mile), the best travel documentary I've seen and probably one of the most heartwarming pieces of film too. Vicki and Geoff it's been a pleasure. The trains are great, the stations are better, the beautiful island we live on is even better but in all honesty you two and your enthusiasm, knowledge, wit, and love for one another stole the show. 11/10 will have to watch again #quaint #longlivethepacer
Hi I've only just found the on Utube site can you tell me how does one acquire the appropriate ticket to travel the distance that these two lovely people did?
Just binge watched the lot over 3 days. Quite simply the most interesting, engaging and pleasant people you could hope to meet. I'm not a railway enthusiast, I occasionally go to London from Redhill for work and that's it. I am so inspired now to put an itinerary together to use the train as the pivotal point of a holiday. Excellent work you two, and congratulations.
I have just finished watching your 59 "all the stations 2017" videos over a 2 month period. Absolutely excellent, entertaining, well produced, informative and utterly watchable. Very well done.
Over the last few weeks I have completed All The Stations GB, all the videos, at a point of huge change in my life. Thank you Geoff and Vicki for the escapism and entertainment that has helped me through this time.
Geoff and Vicki, it has been an absolute treat following you on every clic-clack of the journey. Thank you for such wonderful enjoyment over the journey, you will never know just how much fun you have given to others with this whole project. Very proud to have been a small part of this from Australia
And just realised the significance of the "high five" at the end of this video. You did a "high five" in the video months ago at Penzance to mark the start of your journey.
Its amazing that Wick station, so far north, and so relatively remote should be built only 10 years after my local station in NW England. It shows just how fast and intense the rail building was all those years ago. Also, congrats Vicki & Geoff! HAPPINESS!!!
Absolutely brilliant, brilliant, brilliant. Thank you for the most epic day of my life (I simply *must* have watched over 24 hours with all the bonus videos and livestreams/live recaps - probably closer to two days?!?!)... well played, well presented, well filmed, well edited, well planned (big up the support team). Gutted I was working nightshift on "Have An Adventure" weekend but rest assured you did inspire me to go check out Cromford station a few weeks before that! A truly, truly amazing project which sounded ridiculous at the start but you pulled it off without even a hint of a glitch. Thank you so much to everyone who made it happen. Oh and by the way, Dunrobin Castle was the sickest drone shot of them all, you really saved the best for last with that one ;) Looking forward to all the other bits and bobs you drop in the coming days and weeks :)
Hello mum! \(^_^)/ Ahh don't worry, these are the same donuts who complain that the high street is closed one day a year for a major charity event in real life. People who phone the council saying "I can hear those pesky kids playing in the park across the street again" every day. Some people are only truly happy when they're moaning and can't bear to see other people having a good time :) forget about 'em and don't let a couple of naysayers overshadow this unique achievement!
Thanks Geoff and Vicki and everyone else behind the scenes for this amazing series. After watching it, I think I've finally realised that I love trains and railways 😄 These series have woken up a train nerd in me I believe 🙂☺️
Vicki & Geoff: THANK YOU SO MUCH for All The Stations! It's been a pleasure watching you these past two weeks. And you've inspired me to go on my own adventure of visiting Alle Stations in The Netherlands where I live - I'm now about 30% done for the railways and 100% for the Rotterdam Metro :). The past two weeks I have discovered a passion for traveling that has been unknown to me before. Thank you for helping me discover that part of myself. And you've shown that there's an adventure everywhere you look, if only you recognize it. And most of all to CHOOSE YOURSELF. I cannot thank you enough. You both have been a huge source of inspiration for me.
Oh what an adventure we have had!!! Am I the only one who had a tear of joy in his eye at journeys end? I'll look forward to more. Wonderfully well done. Congrats from Florida.
Geoff and Vicki: I binged your series during quarantine here in the U.S. Northeast. I loved your travels, sense of humor and love of railways. It was a great way for me to escape the dreariness of this pandemic. Most especially, I loved Isle of Man and the Scotland routes. You are lucky to have such a networked rail country. Sadly, the US is not that way and we rely on the concrete highways and biways to journey countryside, save for a few networked cities and suburbs. I'm jealous of your ability navigate far and wide on the rails. Best of luck in your future endeavors!
What a fantastic journey - all the way from Penzance to Wick and all the stations inbetween. Thanks so much Geoff and Vicki for taking me along. You brought a huge amount of sunshine into my life.
Frank is a man after my own heart. Doing a wonderful job in trying to reopen many old stations up in the Highlands. Keep up the good work, Frank. Best of luck to you buddy.
Now the third time I've watched All The Videos of All The Stations. This time over the past 3 days due to Covid restrictions. Still LOVE IT. Vicki still misses the chance at Dunrobin Castle Station to say "I'd give it 10 minutes if I were you" after using the Facilities.
Where has the time gone? Its been a fantastic summer watching the videos, checking up on Facebook Live. Over the years, I have been on numerous rail tours. You guys have taken me on an amazing AllTheStations rail tour. Thank you so much.
Brilliant! Geoff and Vicki and all the video editors, supporters, tea suppliers, lift providers, train drivers, friends of stations: this series has revealed so much about how the railways work and their histories. Thank you. Looking forward to whatever is in the pipeline.
Honestly been my favourite RU-vid series in ages and I'm sad to see it done, massive congratulations to you Geoff and Viki!!! Hopefully you've inspired people to travel by train, I know you certainly inspired me to follow my dream of becoming a train driver. Thank you for such an amazing series guys, and I cannot wait for the Ireland edition 🚂
Well that was absolutely brilliant.. I stumbled across this series the other day and literally been hooked and listened to the whole lot in 3 days.. What lucky people you are to have had such an amazing adventure together. Thank you for sharing it with us. Loved it..
Wow, what can I say. Thank you for a summer of unimaginable joy. Watching this series has been an absolute pleasure as we've gotten to know the UK rail network and the UK itself a whole lot better in the company of two lovely people with a genuine passion for what they were doing. Enjoy a well earned break and I look forward to watching whatever comes next.
Just an echo of other comments, Geoff and Vicki have proved how wonderful our train network is...If the powers that be have any modicum of thought, maybe a better joined up network for the whole country would be a good idea... The journey that they took, has been a paean of thanks to all the original builders of all the train routes and stations....
I'm actually not sure what I'm going to do with my mornings now... Thank you Geoff and Viki for bringing us all with you on this adventure. A truly definitive account of Britain's railway network.
Sad its the last one, been a great journey with all you guys. Nice to see Dunrobin castle again. Had a great game of Croquet there once with the kids with the wife yelling out the rules as we go. Thankyou so much for keeping us all entertained for throughout the summer, its been great.
Tick, twice. Once in Canada whilst feeling homesick for England. Now once again, in England, missing my girlfriend and home in Canada whilst COVID and residency applications rumble on. Thank you Geoff and Vicki.
All the episodes - tick. Geoff, Vicki, that was fantastic, really the best series I've seen on RU-vid as well as the most inspiring. It's still a fantastic railway, in spite of Beeching, in spite of under investment and poor strategy (e.g. the electrification programme), in spite of everything the railway is right up there with the NHS and the BBC as the best things about Britain. Thank you for presenting it with so much enthusiasm and good humour, not to mention your considerable stamina to keep going. A brilliant job, well done.
I think there's only a few hundred across the whole of Ireland... definitely easier in comparison to the thousands they've done to date! Na Stáisiúin Traenach Uilig! ('All The Stations' in Irish)
Thank you both (and all the team). Joshua (my nearly 2 yr old) and I have enjoyed every episode (and all the extras). Joshua shouts "trains" every time he hears the theme tune. Looking forward to seeing what happens with all the material you have gathered and All The Trains Ireland (I might be able to help gather information from people about the old Ballymoney to Ballycastle railway in North Co Antrim) (and then why stop there? ATS France, Germany ...).
So late to the game but enjoyed this series so much! Thank you for allowing us to share your adventure, Geoff & Vicki, and showing me what I never knew was there!
About to watch this episode. It has been great watching since my next trip from Texas to UK has been delayed. One of my favorite things is how great your train system is and really how easy it is to get around. I’ll watch this one and start watch all over again.
All The Stations Congratulations and thanks to Geoff, Vicki, and the small horde behind the scenes making this delightful virtual rail journey seem FAR easier than I know it was. 👏🍻
Thank you both for an amazing fun, informative, and thorough tour of, well, everywhere! No train spotter, but always had a fascination with public transport! I've been living in the Middle East for 7 years but watched every episode and they really took me back to the UK - smiled a lot. Some beautiful shots and great interviews. Thanks again and well done guys.
What a great series of short films - I am sure they will be viewed for many years to come. Definitely do more some time if you can. Sponsors should be taking note.
A fantastic end to a fantastic series I can't wait to watch all the documentary and all videos between this and the start of All The Stations : Ireland (which has sadly now has come to end also) Having got into this over two years late and binge watched the episodes over a few weeks! That coincided with the start All The Stations : Ireland. This has to be one of the best RU-vid channels/series going! Bar Geoff's own channel that is! It's totally piqued my interest in the railways, I'm mainly an aviation man but do have a soft spot for all modes of transport, rail and ferrys being the two main ones behind aircraft!
I was wearing headphones so I got a fright a Dunrobin Castle when the train hooted! All the Stations was absolutely amazing and I loved receiving my susbcription notifications! I hope you guys do something else soon - and just a big thank you Geoff and Vicki for a great summer of fun videos!
What can I say apart from to add my thanks with all the others for some absolutely brilliant entertainment. What makes it even more enjoyable is the fact you did it because you wanted to, no "celebrities" just jumping on a train because they're being paid for it and reading from an autocue.
I need more than a LIKE button... need a LOVE button. Because I have Loved following you on your whole journey. What you two have done is amazing and truly inspiring. I have seen places so familiar to me, places I have visited on holiday and now know so much more about... also almost caught you two on the Welsh coast, and now seen so many more places that you two have inspired me to visit, and use the train. I am such a driver and love the freedom that my car gives me, but now I have seen that there is just as much freedom to be had from the train, and that the trains give you the chance to SEE the world and not just whizz past it all in the driver's seat of my car. So MASSIVE THANK YOU, and CONGRATULATIONS. 💜💜💜🚂🚂🚂
Congratulations and thank you to you both and all of your support/production team for a thoroughly enjoyable series throughout the Summer :-) - would like to nominate 'All The Heritage Stations' for a possible future series ;-)
I'm legit gonna watch the whole thing again some day and that's no lie. Thanks Geoff and Vicki for an amazing journey, £10 well spent, wish I'd have contributed more now! Looking forward to your return to tube-geekery Geoff! Cheers, Matt
Aaahh that was fab. I'm oddly emotional that you've completed the project. It's been great to accompany you both around our lovely little island from the comfort of my house. Here's to many more adventures together.
I've enjoyed every minute of your adventures, it's been a fascinating summer journey and I look forward to binge-watching them all again sometime in the darkest and coldest days of this coming winter!
A great adventure by a very engaging couple. Geoff's amazing enthusiasm and knowledge of our railways and Vicki's great explanations of various landmarks and tourist spots has made this series unmissable. A word also for the great backup team, editing, music, drone footage and all those who funded the project. Well done guys. Now tackle Ireland!
I am rather sad that you've finished, but thank you all so much for a great series - and a lesson in how to do a RU-vid series, so many people could learn from this team and Geoff & Vicki. Well done!
Thank you Geoff and Vicki and all the guys and girls behind the screens for sharing this great adventure. I really liked all the episodes showing great trains, beautiful stations, landscapes and of course castles. A big thumbs-up !!!
Absolutely the best railway series out there and no doubt will be watching again and again and will never get board. You have inspired me to have my own #HaveAnAdventure. It was a great summer of fun watching your videos and they will be really missed. Well done Geoff & Vicki
Thank you so so much for this epic series, that was a great adventure and felt like we were being taken along with you. I was hooked from the start, just to think I found this watching the Londonist series as I wanted to learn the tube network and it bought me through to your epic adventure, Vicky really adds something special, her humour, knowledge and banter with Geoff is fantastic love Vicky explores, shame I missed the Kickstarter, just think this was a brilliant concept, hopefully get more people out on the trains and maybe, just maybe convince train companies and the government to open more stations and lines, thank you both and your team, so much, this really was a fun series, and I'm sure I'll watch it through again, just brilliant.
Thank you for having something to enjoy after school. You have put smiles on all of our faces and we will never forget you. Thank you for being amazing and I hope you do another amazing challenge (All The Airlines imo). Good luck with the rest of what you are doing!
I discovered you last week and have religiously watched two or three of your vlogs every evening. I love your infectious style and enthusiasm - although personally I don't share Vicki's addiction to Pacers! I've saved your bonus videos for another few days of binge watching, and look forward to the Irish series. Thanks guys, all the best.
Although it is sad that you have come to the end of this mammoth journey, I just wanted to say how much I have enjoyed following your travels. I was one of your (very modest) backers (on a student budget) and I can honestly say that I don't think I have ever spent money more wisely. You have both been a joy and an inspiration, and British railways (and countless tourist boards of regional towns) owe you a huge debt. I started watching when I was approaching my final exams at university, and your cheerful updates genuinely helped me through. Then some weeks later, while in the midst of a break-up, I was inspired to travel on the sleeper to Scotland, and then on to Thurso and Wick to go as far north as I could by train. A beautiful escape and one of the best holidays I have ever had. I followed Geoff's work before this series, and will follow you both avidly all the more in the future. Thanks again for everything, and best of luck :)
Thank you so much Vicki & Geoff (and the support team)... have really enjoyed being on the journey with you (virtually!). Feel slightly sad now it's over.
Just finished binge-watching this series, over the last seven days! What a wonderful story, and a lovely pair of guides, Thanks so much, Geoff and Vicki.
Ah, it's over! But what a journey it's been, for yourselves and for us. Many congratulations to you both on this brilliant achievement - can you imagine how many people you've inspired with this project? So many lovely, positive, affection-filled comments this time around. A great footnote to the series. Well done, and thanks for letting me contribute in my own little way, it was a privilege! 😘
A fitting finale to a wonderful series of videos. Well done to you both! And I have to say, you both came across very well and as very engaging people. Michael Portillo cannot rest easy.
Thanks to you two for doing it I know it’s nearly a year since you did it but I stumbled upon it by mistake and have watched all 59 episodes in the last two weeks.
Thank you for a great series. I will miss watching them. I am an expat living in New Hampshire and a railway conductor over here. Your series has brought back many memories of the locations I used to live in and visit. You and Vickie were wonderful together.
I've been watching this again in 2021, and it has been such a lovely reminder of how beautiful our country is, and all the places I want to visit. Thank you again for doing this, and bringing joy to so many :-)
Thank you Geoff and Vicki for such a wonderful series - I've never followed anything on RU-vid with such interest. You fully deserve all the plaudits you're getting. Thank you so much.
So thoroughly enjoyed your journey, because of Great Britain, because of railways and of course because of you two, because you two made it special and very much worthwhile following and watching. Do come again!
I know I'm late to the party but hey, it was still a good adventure. It was also great to see some of the stations I've been to - even up in the Highlands at Kingussie. What a beautiful island we live in. So varied and so much character.
I am so glad you stayed at sleeperzzz at Rogart! I cannot remember which year I stayed, but thank you both Frank & Kate & the lady's who come in to care for the place each morning. It was July & some regular fisher gents who stay at least twice a year, flicked the switch & put the heating on in the slammers. Honestly, even in July, there was condensation & you DEFINITELY need a torch!, the view out the windows IS pitch black, no light pollution, so anyone who likes the sky, or quiet walks, rural, honestly, GO. Beautiful garden which does have lovely soft lights, railway ephemera. There ARE public buses to local places as well as the railway, & great for cyclists on quieter roads. ALL from memory, & I do want to go back. Now I have London Dusty singing in my ear, "I'm Going Back"...Sorry to hijack, some places grab us, & Rogart is one for me.
Fantastic. Started watching episode 1 and couldn't stop!!! Who needs a Netflix box set! Totally inspired to have a roving train holiday on 2021 (Covid permitting). Both (Vicki/Vikki/Vicky) and Geoff are natural at presenting and are just compulsive viewing. I've been on i-tunes and bought the single (all 3 versions) and ordered a All The Trains T-shirt. If ever you need more funding for another adventure, I want to donate! Fan-bloody-tastic!
The best binge series that I ever watched. And if ever anyone asked me what I did for summer of 2017, I'd say, "Oh, had a vacation around Europe with my parents, and visited all the stations in Great Britain!"
I'm a year late to accidentlly falling into and get complety hooked to your travels on youtube with All the stations..its been such a brilliant, interesting, informative, and funny and meeting people along the way..ive worked on the railways myself for the past 20yrs and have a interest in the railways but not a spotter..[ nothing wrong with a spotter..] What am I going to fill my time with now as you both finshed your epic journey..even feel sad its over till next time when you do another journey..Thank you Vikki and Geoff..
