We tuned in every afternoon after high school to catch the adventures and crazy life of Bobbie Spencer in 1977 1978 and 1979. Those were great years for Luke, Laura, Scotty, Bobbie and all the beloved characters on GH. We loved to hate Bobbie and hated to love Bobbie for all the right and wrong reasons. Thanks GH for a great tribute to a sacred part of Americana. Godspeed Jackie!
The pain was so real for them and it showed. I've been a watcher for over 47 yrs started watching at around 7. Saw Bobbie get older. I grew up watching her. You really feel for these actors. I felt the pain of her death 😢
@@retha1875 Yes she and Kin were friends as were Genie and Jackie . They were the ones who some at Bobbie’s onscreen memorial because they were with Jackie from when she started as Bobbie Spencer in 1978. So they were with her longest of all other cast members . Present .
When Genie and Kin spoke at Bobbie’s funeral they were talking too and about Jackie not Bobbie . They were not acting this was cast and behind the scenes crew saying goodbye . Laura Wright has been Carly since December 2005 so it was her speaking to Jackie also . This wasn’t acting it was real for all of them. No award would be accepted by Genie or Kin who had worked with Jackie since her arrival on GH in 1978.
Thank you General Hospital . Thank you to the family of Jackie for sharing her with everyone through the years on General Hospital. Jackie did an amazing job playing the character of Bobbie Spencer. She brought great energy to the show. My dear mother and I have watched General Hospital for so many years. We also have some stories of seeing Jackie in person. General Hospital is very important to so very many of us and Jackie has been a huge part of all those memories.
Wet well said . Jackie was with GH for most of her adult life . Except from 2010-2013 when she was absent . She played Bobbie Spencer 1978-2010;2013-2023. My mom and my aunts all watched GH and my dear mom may god bless you mom . Got me started when I was about 13 or 14 years old around the time Bobbie started and Scotty Baldwin and Genie Francis . All very young . So I watched them all grow . I really loved Bobbie’s Journey on GH . I have other past & present favourites also but I will deeply miss Jackie Zeman . I also loved Tyler Christopher as Nikolas. Very well played by him .
Tony Geary is still alive offscreen he is in his mid tolstec70s now and is retired from acting . As for Luke on GH Tony Geary left the roll in July 2015 and in 2022 news of Luke’s death offscreen came to Bobbievia a letter or phone call . This indicates that Tony Geary really has no plans of ever returning to GH or acting period.
Well done GH. The real emotions of the actors came through on the screen. Genie and Kin were obviously speaking as much about Jackie as they were Bobbie. Nice touch having the actress that played BJ back as the reporter. And bringing Bobbie full circle with the human trafficking story line is chef’s kiss perfect.

I'll never forget meeting Jackie at a Super Soap Weekend . It was like she had known me forever. Each year after that I would head to her line first. She was one of the sweetest people ever.
She always struck me as someone who was as kind and gracious off screen as she was onscreen. Even though I hadn't been a regular viewer in years, I was a huge fan back in the late 70's when the Laura, Scotty, Luke and Bobbie storyline was incorporated into the show and tuned in sporadically over the years when I had the day off. She was a true daytime icon; blessed with that old-time movie star beauty and immense talent. I was truly shocked and saddened to learn of her passing. She certainly will be missed.

Loved todays episode. Truly beautiful from beginning to end. You could tell this wasn’t acting everyone’s raw emotions were on display. They not only were mourning a legacy character like Barbara Jean but they were mourning the true loss of a powerhouse performer like Jacklyn Zeman. GH will never be the same without her. Also how cool was it the reporter was the original young BJ? Love how they incorporated her into this. & I also love the direction their going with this Amsterdam/trafficking storyline based on Bobbies past and the way she grew up. No complaints here GH except I hope we get more flashbacks tomorrow but all in all it was a marvelous send off to a legend.
I grew up watching General hospital I love all the actors and actresses it's sad to say good bye to the people you grew up with jackie zeman was a great actor as all the actors are I miss some of the actors and actresses that have come and gone I cried so bad when all the other actresses and actors told their stories about Bobbie rest in peace dear Jackie zeman you will not be forgotten ❤😢

I haven’t watched General Hospital in over 20 years but when I did Bobby and Laurie were one of my favorite lady characters, . I was jealous of her when she got to kiss Rick Springfield when he played a Dr on the show .so sorry to see that she passed away and surprisingly a lot of these gentlemen in this video I remember watching rest in peace
This is just so painful to watch. I grew up with Bobbie as a teenage boy, when both teenage girls and boys were glued to the set to watch General Hospital. It's as though a member of the family has died. Genie Francis and Kin Shriner, with their heart-breaking performances, gave Jackie the send-off she so richly deserved. Just broke my heart watching this.

These emotions were real, these tears were real. No acting here. My heart goes out to each of them and especially to Jackie’s family. I remember the day she first came on GH. Such a beautiful lady! She is missed…so much.❤️
Bobbie/Jackie passing is so sad to me. This show was a big part of my childhood and teen years. Seeing her go is such a reminder that life goes fast and is short despite what we think.
I cried so hard this broke my heart I loved this character I’ve watched this show with my mom since I was 5 years old now am 28 years old and this show feels like am apart of it the loss love passion of this show is truly amazing love this episode because it paid tribute to her very well cried every moment will miss her RIP
Wow, this was my mom’s favorite soap opera. She passed away in 2020 but wooo😢 this would have hit her in the chest had she been around to see it. So sad.
Scotty always wanted to be with Bobbi and when it never ever worked, they decided they would be best friends. It was a beautiful relationship. Go watch old eposodes on youtube and you'll see it.
The fact that this wasn't just a farewell to the character but the actress herself is a testament to the show. It speaks volumes to the respect this show, and it players, feel about their family. I saw lots of old players here, lucy being one of them. This was my mom's favorite soap, and while i never got "into it" when i was a kid in the 80's, I feel this loss. I feel their loss through their combined acting and actual emotions. If my mother was still alive I have a sneaking sense that as an adult we'd be watching G.H. together. This really hits.

Jackie Zeman was so beautfiul. I loved the character Bobbie. I love seeing Lucy here. I always loved Lucy. When BJ died, I saw how much Lucy was a real loving person
I’ve been part of the GH family for decades. I haven’t been an active viewer the past several years because of life but I always tune in for the big events. The departure, or the return of favorites, or the death of one. I came back for Bobble’s. To me it didn’t tug on my heart strings the way I thought it would. I thought it would be full of flashbacks and tears. Only a couple of flashbacks were there. What is this cutting from scene to scene stuff? Is this how they tape it now? Carly is in one scene then it cuts and she’s in another scene with someone else. Hmm, it just feels different. I was looking forward to seeing Lucky, Robin, Monica, etc.. maybe there’s more to come?
Lucky highly unlikely . He’s been gone since 2012. They never recast anyone else to play him . Unless Kimberly McCulloughvagrees to play Robin it’s highly unlikely they will recast her roll . She started as a little girl in 1985 and grew up on GH . I have watched since 1978. They did it this way because of time and budget restrictions . Jackie passed in May 2023 . And only now in January 2024 is it coming out on GH . Some characters they won’t show clips because they are no longer cast members . They have to pay them Royalties for using their l image on air otherwise . Money costs . So the senior most cast members with ties to Jackie’s character spoke at her service . Both genie and Kin were cast members when Bobbie started in 1978.
I wish they had Felicia and or Maxie up there saying something about Bobbie. Lucas (her son) never got up there too talk about his Mother. Carly was the only one who said what kind of a Mother she was too her children. I know that Maxie and Felicia went too B.J.'S grave too pay tribute. I hope it will continue. Maybe Carly will do the same too honour her little sister. Even after all these years B.J.'S death tells a story about what happens when your drink and drive can have fatal results. B.J. saved Maxie's life and General Hospital added a storyline of organ transplants.
@ karenwalper9020 Bj was NOT Carly’s little sister Bobbie was Carly’s biological mother and Bjs stepmother and she bought Lucas off the black market adoption and when she knew Cheryl Stansburry was his biological mother she tried to keep him away from her!

Bobbie wasn't always that fond of Laura in the beginning but I think this is more Genie remembering Jacklyn. Thank you GH for those of us that remember.
It doesn't seem right for Luke to not be there, but Genie is the perfect person to be there to speak about her friend and colleague Bobby/Jackie because it's obvious that Genie is sincerely feeling the grief of losing Jackie.
