Once again, great job GH! This was a great 60th anniversary look back, a tribute to Bobbie and those she loved, and a potential new friendship with a resolution of some old hard feelings. Beautifully written, beautifully acted!
Never will there ever be a comparison between Nina and Carly and this is living proof. Carly has matured and humbled herself so much over the years and you would never see Nina agree with anyone about her mistakes. Regarding todays episode I thought the flashbacks and the BJ stuff was even better than the funeral yesterday. Love that they came back to the basics of what made GH great. Raw emotion and complexity of storytelling at its finest. It was a great send off for a GH legend.
Carly acknowledges and owns her misdeeds, mistakes, of the past and she apologizes for them. Nina is always making excuses and trying to play the victim. Carly has grown and matured whereas Nina has not. Maybe being in the coma is part of the reason but it has been how many years now? It is past time for Nina to grow up.
@@evelyncarrion9120 And to reveal to her Haters what the power of love and forgiveness can do for a person. If they Allow It To. Took a lot of work; but CARLY turned herself around (while still maintaining the character’s edginess and some of her flaws). And without being pitiful and whiny about it. That is the difference.
Okay, now that straight up warmed my heart. I hope they build a friendship. I know Carly's a hot mess but I have a soft spot for her and Felicia, well I've always liked her. 😊
Loved this. Carly and Felicia as friends is a GOOD THING. This was an excellent episode the entire week has been amazing. Well done, writers. Carly does not want to be like she was in the past- NOBODY DOES. But you have to own it, be accountable, see both sides-and strive for peace. “Maybe it’s high time we forgive each other.” Grateful for this.
@@iacobus4227 I agree. There Is None. NINA is a psychopath who Cannot Own her own ish. (Unless of course, she runs out of coverups, excuses, and lies. Then, in short order, she “rinses,” and “repeats.”) CARLY is just another gifted, albeit flawed, individual. Who Can Own her own ish. (On full display here.)
@@southerngal345 You NINA Lovers cannot see the personal growth (albeit it mostly as a result of personal loss due to her own behavior) that has occurred in CARLY’S (still-flawed) character. NINA has so far only made (feeble) attempts at same. And then only when backed into a corner from which she cannot “squirm.”
Felicia was also considered an unforgivable homewrecker when she cheated with Luke. On GH EVERYBODY crosses the line. EVERYONE is a whole dang mess....The job is to own your 'ish, take the hit, cry about it , say sorry if you mean it or don't, then move on. Exactly what both of these women just did...(RESPECT 😊).
Amen. Not just Carly's past, but her present. Felicia would never, in a million years, keep the maternity/paternity of a child away from its parent. Carly did that - recently (and many times). Having a friend like Felicia will be good for Carly, though.
@blackstorm9755 The difference between Felicia and Carly, though, is that Felicia had one (two?) indiscretions in an otherwise upstanding life. Her issues were the exception, not the rule. Carly was hell on wheels, and that behavior was the rule, not the exception...
@@rachybaby72Point of this scene, they both have made their share of mistakes, but if the main person they hurt can move forward then so can they. It literally was 30 years ago. And yes she's a mess, probably always will be. But the difference is no whining, own it and try to do better. They have chosen forgiveness, and aren't going to be forever stuck in the 20th century. Sooo is General Hospital turning into Days of our lives now and making it possible for living characters to see and have conversations with a character that’s been deceased for decades Maxie I could understand since she has her heart but every body else actually saw her and talked to her
For all of Carly’s faults and bad judgment since she came to Port Charles as Carly Benson in 1996 to cause mom Bobbie grief. Then Sarah Brown played Carly. She has made many poor judgements but has also grown to have a heart especially for her mom and kids. A protective lioness . Carly will never be “ perfect “ but if you watched her from her beginnings in 1996 to today you have to admire all she’s been through and how she’s dealt with the highs and lows of her life. Always loved Carly as played by all the ladies who have played the roll ., Nina Reeves is much different . She is ev n more deceptive with how she managed her issues . Lieing about Sonny being alive is a good example .,
Bobbie probably was on to something and ended up finding where Jason is and these 2 will stumble onto it. Jason alive willmake Carly forget Drew and Sonny and Nina for a hot minute
It was a nice surprise at the end that the reporter turned out to be bj, and an even better surprise that this episode aired 1 11 24 ... 111 is the number of angels. Nice touch gh!
What kind of super time travel was Carly and Felicia doing? They went to Germany blink. They’re in Canada blink. Now they’re back in GH. Holy cow! Seems like it was in the same day.
FELICIA said that BOBBIE was Her Best Friend. BOBBIE certainly considered FELICIA a Very Good Friend. Plus, they are Family. The bond was still very tight on both ends.🕊️
@iacobus4227 Exactly, in real life and on television. Brenda's best friends are Robyn and Lois. Felicia's best friends were/are Bobbie and Anna. Trina's best friends are Cameron and Joss. Spencer's best friends are Cameron and Joss.
Another reason carly and felicia were never close is Robin....Felicia is team robin all day every day .. I remeber when the trial with tony was going on it was robin and felicia vs everybody
I don't know if Felicia knows what Nina Did to Drew and Carly. I bet Felicia would Be The Next generation of Bobbie to try at least make things a little better Between Carly and Nina
Nina has friends. Curtis, Maxie, Ava, Laura, Felicia, and Sasha. And she has a family who love her... They keep getting diminished by people who keep killing them off, but she has family.
@uzomaokirike6811 Yes, I'm sure that Nina has friends (except for Laura. I didn't mean to add her name) and that they won't stop being her friend. Sasha knows everything about the SEC when Carly broke the law, and Nina reported her, and Sasha stll *supports* Nina; she hasn't dropped her as a friend.
Maxie planned her wedding to JM. And I think the last one to Sonny. And of course, there's Bobbie's influence on both of them. Maxie encouraged her to keep Kelly's. So yes, Maxie was and is always welcome in Carly's circle... **Remember the Yoga studio? Maxie warned Nina not to push. She said "I know Carly, we're friends and this isn't going to go the way you want."
