Dimash always gives magical performances, but there was something special about this one! I will admit the arrangement was not my favorite, but regardless of that the song brought me to tears and made me feel something in my core. Beautiful!

That's the problem for singers when Dimash sings someone else's hit, it makes it impossible to sing, it makes it...unmatchable.

There is a reason Dimash sings it this way. He sang it on the Singer competition which made "showing off" his spectacular vocal ability a requirement to wow the judges so he could remain in the competition with a sufficient number of votes. The Dears love it sung this way in his solo concerts which is why he plays with the audience and the sing with him. It's become one of his Dears fav concert songs.

@@kpeez The Chinese love high notes. I'm assuming it's because of their Peking Opera. Dimash can do that in his sleep so why not 😆 He sings this a lot. A Dear fave is in his NY concert where he forgets the lyrics and laughs at himself. This song was written and originally sung by Eric Carmen 1975 and with the greatest of respect to him , it’s now sung by Dimash and he does it justice in a way only Dimash can

There will only ever be one Dimash. I will forever be grateful for this young man and his music and wisdom in my life ❤️ I absolutely love your t shirt. That message is 100% true 🙌🕊️ For me Dimash's rendition of this song has always felt more positive and hopeful than the sadness and quiet desperation Eric Carmen poured into it. When Dimash sings All By Myself, he puts an entire different meaning into the song. He sings it in a way that says; 'I didn't want to be alone anymore, and now I'm not. I have my Dears and my Dears have me.' That's why Dimash and Dears sing it together and hence his more optimistic, playful performance. He's saying, yes we are alone sometimes, but there's always hope and you never know what tomorrow may bring.

The riff and run part at the end, is almost like an inside joke between him and his Dears... 🙏😁😅😂 We first heard it in the "The Singer" Competition 2017 (where he got REALLY famous), where he performed this song. And put in a little extra treat at the end to showcase his abilities (it was a competition, so...). This was at a concert in his home country, so he was more interacting with the crowd, telling them to light up their phones, to sing along, etc… Everyone had by then heard his version of All by Myself as performed on Singer 2017. So he wasn’t going for the feels in this version. Thank you!!!❤❤❤

I think this performance demonstrates Dimash’s playfulness. He’s so serious in so many of his performances, that he has to cut up some times.

I have 2 favorite performances of All By Myself by Dimash, first is on the Singer 2017. The 2nd is the NY concert in 2019. Both of those performances are so dear to me. The Bastau concert was not my favorite. You are allowed to not like something. You should watch his newest video on RU-vid. Its so good. Dudarai. Blow your socks off.

Nobody touches Dimash. Nobody This rendition has become a favorite of his fans. Dimash is about connecting with the audience. And some tunes he will play with. This is one. There are others like Daybreak or Samaltau he takes very seriously. Dimash. Once you know him and understand what drives him....you cannot help but greatly love and respect him. He's a giver, not a taker.

This is Eric Carmen's song. Celine Dion's was a cover also. He never sings a cover song the same way as the original artist. He's not showing off just because he can, he's making it his own and having fun with it.

It's ok. You don't have to love all of Dimash's choices. I'm a huge fan and sometimes there are things that aren't my favorite. Actually, I'm not fond of this whole song, but that's just me and my taste. As far as dropping the mood, I think he was being playful with the audience. There's a whole different vibe when you are seeing him live. You expect and hope for the playfulness, so it doesn't really distract from the song as it might when you are just watching it on video.
