I love tom and Jerry's animations. They don't break the characters by making the work together. Like all their moves are them trying to hurt each other

I think I heard somewhere the point of playing as Tom and Jerry is to attack enemies passively, which is really cool because it looks like they somehow made that work.
@Yeehaw I think there's that 60s Tom and Jerry TV show where both of them are friends and not rivalries. I find the show decent for some reason, but it wouldn't be Tom and Jerry without their intense rivalries to each other.
Warner literally has such a goldmine on its hands if they take this game seriously. There's so many IPs they could add to the roster to increase the hype and longevity of the game.

Tom and Jerry's fighting technique is insanely genius. They used their classic cat and mouse fight to beat other opponents in the fight which it's the _"Hmmm... yes, the floor made out of floor"_ of movesets. They are maybe both rivals, but this is ironically an act of teamwork.
The child also being Steven Universe too to rub salt on the wound (context: like Deku from MHA and some characters in One Piece, Steven’s known for crying and expressing emotion very often)
Honestly all this game needs is to actually make the punches thrown seem more powerful because hitting the enemy in this game just looks like you’re slapping them

They'd best add Courage the Cowardly Dog. There's a potential creative direction to making his movesets. Kinda like how he can summon a Villain from the series out of nowhere. Plus, Charlie is a Courage fan.
They need to add my man Samurai Jack into the game, I see so many characters from Cartoon Network so it’s only fair if he made it into the game as well.
6:10 fun fact: the devs were actually inspired by the shaggy memes to create this game! If it wasn’t for ultra instinct shaggy, this game probably wouldn’t exist. This game has incredible potential to be the next best platform fighter. Super hype about its future!
I personally hope they add villains. Characters like Ice King or the Lich from Adventure Time would be cool. Also need to add Ben 10 and Vilgax would also be nice
@@BarcelonaBlitzer I could easily see Heatblast and Fourarms too. Like you can't have Ben not turn into his first alien form or classic heavy hitter. XLR8 and Cannotbolt would be nice too somehow imo. A lot of people say Waybig should be his super or something but Upchuck could also technically fit that spot since he used him to deface Mount Rushmore and defeat the Forever King. But I absolutely love Diamondhead and his one of the most important of Ben's 10 classic aliens since he used him to win his first big fight (giant Vilgax bot), he made a triumphant return in AF to defeat Vilgax, has a huge connection to a big aspect of the shows story (namely his planet) and is known as the first alien to beat Malware.
By no means does this give him the power to outclass supers, but people often forget that Shaggy was an athlete in the original cartoon. He did track and field. That’s why he ran so fast and that’s why he was always hungry - he wasn’t a stoner, he was a teenage boy who was constantly burning calories in preparation for his next meet.

Although it is true that the Ultra-Instinct Shaggy meme is very dead at this point, I don't think the devs adding into the game seems like a bad idea to be honest. In my opinion it makes Shaggy's character a bit more interesting + unique, and gives it a better game mechanic.
It's more than just "Ultra Instinct Shaggy" at this point. Sure it was born from that meme, but the meme itself was based on a scene from one of the Scooby Doo movies. Shaggy canonically is a fucking master of martial arts he's just too scaredy to use them most of the time.

Let's be honest: super heros are ALWAYS outmatched when it comes to cartoons. Put simply, it doesn't matter how many moons or planets or speeding trains that superman can outclass because of one simple fact: he still has rules. He may have no limits, but is capable of death. When he throws a car or something, that car doesn't change mass or fluidity. It just remains a car. Superman gets bashed through a wall? He'll just break the wall into pieces. Superman still has to follow the laws of physics, albeit loosely. Tom and Jerry spit in the faces of logic, physics, reason, and death. Plus they probably invest in ACNE supplies, which are REALLY powerful. Therefore, it's no wonder as to why superman gets bashed up by the cat and mouse duo.

I'm glad that Charlie remembers that fiasco, though. Benioff and Weiss were in such a rush to ditch GoT and run the next Star Wars installment that they completely shit on GoT, only for the SW producers to tell them, "We saw what you did to GoT. You completely ruined it! And now you want to direct _our_ franchise? Piss off!" So D+D reaped what they sowed there. >:)
True, but at least it's a step up from NASBs overall presentation. Not saying NASB is trash, but it's clearly not on Multiversus level due to budget and limitations.
There's some great tech called people called lag canceling, it makes your aerial momentum smoother, faster, and very optimal putting your character and their hitboxes where you want them to be. It benefits less laggy moves more but all characters benefit greatly from it
CHARACTERS I WANNA SEE: - rick and morty - samurai jack - regular show - power puff girls - maybe an anime character or something? - and for shits and giggle since they added movie/tv show characters JOHHNY DEPP that has a special to change into 3 different versions. Jack sparrow, willy wonka, and the mad hatter
It’s a shame Nick all Star Brawl has minimal investment compared to Multiversus. Tom and Jerry is one of the most interesting character I’ve seen which stays true with their gimmick
NASB has more characters and updates yet somehow a game that just did it's 2nd closed beta is far more polished and interesting. Devs for MV even said they would get some third party characters at some point. imo cartoon network alone has a better potential roster than nickelodeon, I truly did not expect an entire Warner Bros crossover game. Lets just hope it doesnt turn into Injustice for kids ft. Steven Universe.

It might have been funded at all just to be a quick cash grab, because they knew people would buy it but likely didn't have much faith in the devs to pull off a game that people would rather play than smash. No voices is a big thing, especially considering that MultiVersus has more voice lines than Smash Ultimate, including specific character interactions. Other than that, it is really rough looking in the animations and feedback, which is also true of MultiVersus, but to a lesser extend and it's only a 2nd closed beta, where as NASB has been out for a while without noticable improvements to the general game feel
i really wanna see more looney tunes and tom and jerry characters in this, like wile e coyote, marvin the martian and the grey bulldog from tom and jerry since they have the most obvious kits, but then again they made velma unique so any character could be implemented
I really enjoy how Shaggy feels. I enjoy the meme and think it makes him a fun character. As they add more fighters they’ll be able to be more topical with skins etc.
Every time I see these matches, my focus just immediately goes to Tom & Jerry whenever they're onscreen. I can't help it; I just have to see how their little personal fight ends up.
They could add SO MANY SHOWS to this game, it's insane. The roster could easily dwarf SSBU. Every single Cartoon Network show could have characters in this- Camp Lazlo, Foster's Home, KND, Chowder, Flapjack, Ben 10, this could be huge!
They could/should add eustess, Mireille and courage...power puff girls, ed, Edd, and eddy 😬🤧grim and evil, Johnny Bravo..yeah they could really go crazy wit this shit fr...and thats JUST SOME, from that universe
I can honestly see Ben in Multiversus having access to at least 4 aliens via a selection wheel mid combat. Depending on which variation we get we can probably expect: Classic/10,000:Heatblast (first alien), Fourarms (currently preferred heavy hitter), Diamondhead (very important species to the series and Ben used him in his first big fight with Vilgax's giant robot and later in others), Xlr8 (everyone loves him and I just feel like Ben should have a speedster in his roster) AF:Swampfire (first alien coming out of retirement), Bigchill (lowkey Ghostfreaks more level headed replacement and a fan favorite at the time), Humongosaur (Ben's newest and preferred heavy hitter at the time), Jetray or FastTrack (to fill the speedster slot, with Jetray making more sense since his part of the AF main 10 roster). (I kinda wanna see Goop & Rath though!) UA:Ult Swampfire (Ben's first Ultimate alien and was used to win a huge battle), Ult Cannonbolt (I believe it's Ben's first Ult variation of one of his classics and one of his most used classic Ults, it can also sorta fill the roll of a speedy alien), Ult Bigchill (for the same reasons as what I said about AF), Ult Humongosaur (for the same reasons as AF but also cause I think he was probably the first on screen Ultimate alien cause of Albedo but I could be wrong). (I really want to see Ult Echo Echo though!) OV:Feedback (canonically Ben's favorite alien since he was 11 and introduced in Omniverse), Gravattack (Ben's newest heavy hitter introduced in Omni as well), Bloxx (I believe he was Ben's first new alien at the beginning of Omni), Shocksquatch (introduced during the UA & GenRex crossover but shined in OV as if he was actually introduced in OV but in reality wasn't, debatable addition though tbh). (I really wanna see KickinHawk, CrashHopper, Areodcytle & Bullfrag though) UA+OV+AF+OS:Heatblast, Humongosaur, Feedback & Turtle alien (since his the only one of the five special UA aliens that doesn't contrast the other three currently selected aliens in some way) Idk who to select for the reboot but here's my attempt. Reboot:Shockrock (very important to the series if I remember correctly), Waterhazardlookalike (one of the first leaked aliens and probably first new alien of the franchise), idk, idk. If we use only Ben's classic aliens they could theoretically make skins for all the other variations of Ben. I think Classic Ben has a 80% chance of getting in while AF/UA is like 40%, OV 90% & Reboot 99% chance. I still don't know if there are supers in this game but if there are I expect Classic Ben or 10.000 to use Waybig or Upchuck (Up cause in the DS video game you can use him like a special one hit attack but also cause his the alien who beat the Forever King and destroyed Mt. Rushmore), AF Ben will use Alien X, UA Ben can use Master Control to combo attack using all five of his special scanned aliens (NRG, Armadrillo, Amfibian, Waterhazard & Turtle) & OV Ben can either use Atomix or a timeline/dimension gangup attack like Megaman & Hero does in Smash with Ben 10,000 coming in for the last hit using Atomic X or they can do something more light hearted where Ben team attacks with Rook. Idk about the reboot though, something with his special armor forms or Shockrock enhancements?? (10,000 is my most wanted, Classic is my 2nd, Omni is my 3rd, UA 4th & AF 5th)
I really enjoy this game. Shaggy is a actually a good character to main in this game. I still use Tom & Jerry because of how easy their combos can land
I’m so excited for this, really hope this becomes a big series like smash with dlcs and sequels for every new console generation, it looks great so far I can’t wait to see what it becomes
Actually i don't mind the shaggy meme being brought up again at all. The meme wasn't really all that saturared and the fact it is this late shows they aren't just surfing the hype of it (and if they're trying to it just does not appears it is it), for me it's just wholesome
Charlie, if you are reading this, the current tech is to dodge after light basic attacks to extend combos. This particularly works best with Shaggy; as all fighters were built around Shaggy, this should also work for most other characters with quick jabs.
I'm really hoping for Toonami's mascot T.O.M (Toonami's Operating Module) to be added in the game, makes me wonder what his moveset will be like... *For His Neutral Special, He Wields A (laser) GUN.*
Honestly if there's any character I want to see Multiversus add it's Samurai Jack, honestly he's an icon of Western Animation and to have the Wondering Ronin playable would make my day.
Of course Charlie would play Shaggy as he's the most powerful person and he and Charlie have that in common. Also I wasn't quite interested this but seeing the characters like Shaggy and Iron Giant I'm actually quite interested in this game.
@C mac 55th street no, i have been playing platform fighters for years. i know that they generally tend to be more floaty, but something about the flow of this specific game is kinda off putting to me (jumps especially look odd) i am definitely looking forward to trying it out tho, hopefully it'll feel better than it looks to me.

This game is puzzling to watch for me. I really like the hit sound effects. They remind me of something that I can't quite remember, but they have this really solid impact sound that I'm fond of. But the hits themselves look so oddly floaty. Like, every time an attack connects, the character briefly staggers, but doesn't get launched at all, and then after that brief pause they begin moving. Something about it just looks bizarre to me.
Honestly kudos to them for actually adding it and making it official xD. Makes me wonder what other meme stuff are they gonna make official other than Big chungus on that Mobile game.
If they add taz and bugs, then they can’t forget Wil E Coyote with his ACME movement and road runner with his fast dashes, road runner could be something like sonic from smash
It’s more polished than nick all stars, it’s cheaper than most other games in the genre, it has more scope for properties and characters and the characters appeal to larger audiences. I’m so excited to get playing this game for sure
People will say that leaning into the Shaggy meme is stupid or cringe, but if they didn't lean into the meme, the same people would be complaining that the devs don't care about the community. You can't please people no matter what you do.
The shaggy meme was reignited by the mortal kombat wb intro for scorpions revenge making him canon. They already capitalized on it years ago, they're just following up on it now that it's endured so long.
I like how they’re trying to do something new with a more teamwork based platform fighter. Looks good so far. I really like how they did the outlines, makes reading what’s going on in 4 player team chaos easy even as a viewer.
ive seen a lot of comments talking about mordecai and rigby, and i agree. having moves like ultimate karate chop and body slam would be awesome. i also think the three baby ducks mecha would be a fun addition, kinda like a rival to The Iron Giant.
Charlie using Shaggy? That combo is so dangerous the very fabric of reality is at risk! It makes perfect sense that Charlie had to limit himself to barely even using a tenth of his power, we'd all be dead if he didn't. 😰
Random thought but since WB has a licensing deal with them, wouldn’t it be cool to have Six Flags as a stage for this game? Maybe even include a ride as an interactive part of the environment
