Hi lovely! Take this from a 30 year old. You've got all the time in the world to build your skills (and more importantly your connections!) to get into that industry. You're so young, you can even take some big detours if you want! It's okay to feel sad, and scared. It's okay to feel tired after working so hard already. It's okay to feel frustrated. Just don't let that frustration extinguish your hope. Hope fuels motivation, and motivation is what makes dreams come true. So keep fighting, falling and fighting some more, kid. Hi Hannah, I can relate with you. I graduated with a bachelors in education. I was one of the upper students that graduated with a good gpa. I went and tried to get the teacher job I really wanted. I worked there for 2 years and worked extra free hours for them. After all that I did my interview and I didn’t get the job instead the other subs that only cared for an easy paycheck got it. I was devastated and was depressed for awhile. After all the work I ended looking for other jobs and nothing turning out or jobs that were so low in pay that would make me be broke my entire life. I went from having everything to nothing because I was living off of delivery apps for 4 years. I was down on myself but realized that it was a good thing because I can do anything now. I am not tied to anything. So I ended up doing side hustles. It worked out for me because I found other passions. This made me into an entrepreneur. Even if nothing is turning up just know that things will work out. I felt for a long time at my lowest I was a loser but realized all the things that happened was meant to happen. If it weren’t for me being at my lowest I would not have found out what are my priorities and what I want out of life. I want to be an entrepreneur so I can propel a better future for others and bring in more hope for others from my business endeavors. So don’t lose hope in your dreams. Dreams are what make us want to continue living. Your dreams and passions will come just give it time and when things don’t work out just know it was meant to happen.
I have four degrees and I've never used any of them at a job. I got stuck with minimum-wage work until I got on disability two years ago. All the changes between jobs made my senses anxious so I can only do jobs like dishes, and only part-time. But I'm grateful for my life. I struggled so hard to be "special", but realized the only real peace is from Jesus.
Im 17 year old high schooler and I really understand yo, I am so scared of what will happen to me after my high school. I want to pursue foreign language, but to do so, I need to have country's top marks and get into a big university and it scares me so much. My finals will start in feb, there are barely 3 months left I am not prepared and I don't want to regret it, its just too much sometimes.
I'am in the same situation right now, and really worrying about my future. I'am just hoping things go well. and I really want to work hard so that in the future I don't have any regret that I could have done better 😞

I’m 20 and I’m in law school. My dad’s a very successful lawyer and we are rich. I live in India. Here when you make as much as my dad does you are basically treated like a god. To everyone on the outside it may sound like my whole life is already figured out for me. Finish law school, take over the firm, etc. But the truth is I don’t know shit. I’ve slacked my whole life. No matter how hard I try I just can’t get the subject into my head. My dad thinks I’m stupid. I get constantly told that I’ll fail. The pressure of being as successful as my father and the expectations are just too much. I just can’t take it anymore. I’m passionate about filmmaking too but I can’t even think about talking about it to my dad. When I heard you speak I just felt like opening up. Thanks for being so honest.
I hope you take it one day at a time and know that you are not a failure no matter who tells you. The only validation and pats you need are from yourself. I hope you don’t let the world and all its pressures crush you. You got this. *hugs*
I totally feel what you’re going through. I suggest that you establish a strong/stable career. And keep filmmaking on the side and as a hobby. While you keep bettering yourself at it. And producing short films that showcases your talents. Building your portfolio that way. Hope this helps. I myself came to this conclusion myself.
Girl I’m scared too! I do music on the side and I’m majoring in marketing. Music is my passion and it’s hard to make everything work sometimes. But if you love it you will find a way, I know it’s hard but you got this! You can find your own way if they reject you, one day someone will accept you. I feel exactly the same way as you. The only thing that makes my life to be worth it living is the career i want and i'm already graduated but i didn't manage to get a job in the area that i want. We don't have many opportunities here in Brazil. I'm so depressed right now that going out with friends, traveling and stuff are meaningless for me.

I'm 24 and life is hard. I have really bad social anxiety no matter what I do it always pulls me back. Currently I'm in process to get into the career of education but im scared as hell. Its just like things are good but my mind it gets so negative that I just feel really bad and hopeless. I really want to progress and do something for my parents.

I have to pass many tests to certify my ability for a specific subject or field that I don’t even like. I feel tired. Now I’m scared of losing my dream and objective.
I'm might be a late on this. My whole life, I've been known as the tech kid and I was special when I was younger (specifically 7 years old). I fixed things, broke them and everyone thought I was a tech genius but in reality, I wasn't. Of course I love tech but I more drawn into other things in my life like music (previously my dream career) but to be honest, even the industry itself is hardest thing to do breakthrough but there's a silver lining. There always is. When I was younger before music, I loved art and when older, youtube and It gave me love and joy but I was I'm the same situation with this because I was not a fan of academics because my parents wanted me to and fear of everything that would be worthless when everything fails and my family until I realised something. The old saying 'life is short' and it's still something that I fought for for something I loved, even when it scared me like hell. It's horrible to not do it and that regret comes with you for the rest of the life. With that I want to end with this. You ain't the only one. I'm with you, if you love Filmmaking so much that you can go with the fear and turn it to a strength, you can go far. I realised that that In life, its scary to get what you want. I think the worst thing that can happen to you is not that you don't know what to do with your life, but that you are interested in a little of everything, but nothing fills you up or is your passion. I always knew I wanted to study, medicine or something related to biology. Then I discovered philosophy, but I found out how little money it contributed so I discarded it for later. Then I found out about other careers, passions, things like economics, law, engineering and other branches of medicine and biology and I couldn't decide on any and I entered a circle of desperation where I can't decide on any one since I like them all, but I don't know what my true passion is. sorry if my english is bad, i'm using google translator

Hi I'm 12 years old, but age doesnt really matter. I suffer from always thinking abiut how my future is going to be. And when I do think about that my heart suddenly feels low, unhappy, dark, and it hurts. I hate it, I really do. I have 7 siblings but I am the middle child, and I am always sad when I think about the future because I dont want anyone of my siblings to die I love them too much. And I would sacrafice my life for theirs. 2022 my last school year hear in ohio. I am moving to TN, and leaving my oldest sister bc this year is here last school year she'll go to college which is why we are moving away from her. I am sooo sad, and depressed from that. Because when we are gone she'll come into our room and just remember us and probably cry. And I might even cry. I will miss her soo much I love her so much ajd she deserves soooooooo much! The most sad part is we wont grow up together. While I become 14 shes already going to become 22. And for me that is so sad. I wish I could grow up with her. I also wish for all of us to be healthy stay healthy, and be happy in life. I always say to myself I wish my siblings and I were all the same ages. I dont know how long we are staying in TN. And when I am like 18 or something I would look back to my memorys I had with her. And I would just start crying my heart out, just tears falling down on the ground. I WILL MISS HER!!! So girl just to let you know we all suffer from something. Some even suffer from worse. You shouldnt be scared to not have a job. Just take steps, one by one.

This is incredibly rude. Who says she isn’t confident? She is clearly confident in her passions and works hard. Sometimes we hit rock bottom and don’t know where to turn to and feel lost. If everyone was so sure about the future and was “confident” all the time, we wouldn’t even be human. Life is all about trial and error and sometimes, we just feel stressed, confused, lost, hurt, frustrated, etc. and that’s okay. I found this video because I am in the same boat as Hannah here, feeling stuck as I navigate my way through my final years of college. Don’t know how old you are, but life in the early 20’s is hard, especially in today’s competitive world that idolizes perfectionism. I'm not familiar with your field of interest so i'm not sure what kind of advice to give. But I know you can do it because that goal of yours is very specific, which means you probably have a rough idea on how to achieve that goal. Find the right person to talk to and discuss with them and while you're doing that, make sure that person has your best interest in mind (this last part is very important). I'm just like you too, having a specific goal in mind but recently, the job market for my field is not looking good. I'm worried that I might fail my parents.
