i'm scared of getting older

After graduating college, I realized that college students are in a bubble and we're kind of disconnected from reality. Now that I look back, I think my philosohy courses were the most valuable courses that I took in college because they still guide me to this day. But everything will be fine, in fact, I always dreaded getting older as well while I was still attending college, but now after graduation, the bitter has definitely turned to sweet. I loved college while attending, but now I am glad that I am done with it.

i'm also terrified of getting older but i try to remind myself that we're literally all going to be getting older for the rest of our lives. like that's all life is is getting older and figuring it out. and yeah that sounds even scarier but like you don't want to be scared your entire life. just remember that literally no one knows what they're doing. there are no guidelines or rules to how you live your life just do what you want when you want. by getting older you're not losing or gaining anything but years. growing up means getting older and that's it. you don't have to have anything figured out by a certain day or age. just go day by day and life will figure itself out. and if you aren't happy then change it.

Its normal to feel lost when youre young. If it makes you feel better, I am 31 and I still dont know what to do with my life. And its terrifying but is also like exciting. Coz everyday is a surprise that you dont have anything to do but to ride the wave and hope that it will turn out great ❤️

don’t be scared of the future! I’ve been out of college for a while now and although it seems terrifying, it’s one of the most freeing feelings being able to live your life as you want. life is what YOU make it. do what YOU want and what makes you happy, and you’ll be just fine :)

This feeling is very relatable, I promise you aren’t alone. I graduated college in 2020 during the pandemic and felt like I had nothing lined up. Every day felt like a new challenge and I missed my friends and the simplicity of a college schedule so much, especially since we all lived in different cities after graduating; but it gets better! My friends and I are all still in close touch, I made more new friends, and I feel like I have a clearer sense of where I’m going. I’m still figuring things out along the way, but so is everyone else. You got this :)

Steven I’m a sophomore in college rn and have recently been dreading aging. I saw a video of guy saying he lived his life until 60s dreading the future because it entailed aging and although it’s hard to not be worried and negative I realized it’s just such a waste of life and I hope we both can find some positive ways to see aging 😊
