Your turnaround time on this video is making me look bad. I haven't even scrubbed my footage yet. Thanks for the shoutouts, Tom. Really great meeting you. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the vlogs!
I really loved this. You have so much energy doing the vlog, & it feels like the new opportunity has invigorated you, even if it's tiring. Really looking forward to the next and the rest of the series. Thank you for all the wonderful videos.
This project is indeed the most brilliant team gathering since the Avengers. It's like they invited my personal favorite photo RU-vidr subscription list there. lol
I knew this video was coming and I'm so pumped! You and Grainydays, Jason, are two of my favorite RU-vid photographers, and I can't wait to see what images you both produce!
It's great that you did this to show us all what goes into a shoot rather than just turning up at a beautiful location and getting some great shots. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the week as it all looks very tiring..
This was fun! I'm a sucker for a good ol fashioned landscape photography ride along, but this was a breath of fresh air coming from you. Excited to see the rest of this series!
wow we have lived in Andalucía, well Almeria to the east of Malaga for the last 13 years and it is a photographers dream... I look forward to the rest of the vlogs..
I think you've nailed the timing on the VLOG thing. You and Life of Riza fill the post Neistat void quite nicely! I was completely entertained...especially at your discomfort and recommitment to filming in public. Perfect VLOG content. Cheers...looking forward to the next!
This is going to be so much fun watching you navigate this project, you'll smash it I'm sure, but bringing us on this journey is brilliant. All the best Russ
Tom, I can't tell you how relieved I am that you found the 5 Euro note I dropped. Please keep it safe, and I'll pick it up the next time I'm in England.
oh man! What an awesome opportunity! 1) You get to photograph new places and 2) your format changes a bit to offer some dynamic content... win, win! We're pulling for ya.
If they hired you for this job, you can bet they love your work, and they want shots you would normally take. That would be my guess. Good luck Thomas.
I just started a daily vlog and I feel the exact same! I feel like everyone and everything is watching and judging me. By day 10, you get used to it really mate, stick with it!
That is now the second time I see you are traveling through The Netherlands Thomas!! Next time It's time to stay here for a bit longer and have a drink with your Dutch fans ;)
Yeah, that was a great watch and a nice distraction from editing one of my videos from the trip. Was nice meeting you in person Thomas! Hopefully your Osmo Pocket 3 didn't break. 😆
Wow di wow, love the vid, especially that it's in my country, well sort of, I'm Aussie from Spanish parents from Cantabria but absolutely love Andalucia, love the way you vlog, interesting and keeps me wanting more 😄
The Andalusia region of Spain is an amazing place to photograph. Hope you are able to visit Ronda while you're there: the landscapes are gorgeous and the way the town is built into the landscape is incredible.
I love that you're trying something new and get out of your comfort zone by talking to the camera at the airport! Obv. your normal style videos are much higher production, but every now and then these Vlogs would make a very welcome addition, because we get to see so much more of you 😊
Oh how wonderful! So glad they've asked you to take the pics in your own style and for photographers rather than tourists. Looks like some challenges ahead, (but isn't that part of the fun :D) and then jackpot! Can not wait to see the rest of the vlogs. ☺
so cool to spot Taylor Pendelton in your video there, I saw her trip through her channel and totally didn't connect the fact you were there for the same thing! =D
I do like this kind of content. Your usual style is great but this brings us into the story of why you're doing it. This also reminds me of the what the Swiss tourist board did recently with James Popsys and a few other photographers
As a marketer and photographer, whoever came up with the idea for this trip is a genius! I don't know why more tourism boards don't host events like this with influencers. If any tourism boards are reading this, I'd love to help you coordinate something similar!
Yes finally! Love your vlog style stuff Thomas so this is awesome! Looking forward to seeing what else happens this week. Your doing well mate for sure. This is helping inspire me to do this, apart from I need an interesting enough life to document 😂 Best of luck with the job!
As as landscape photographer residing in Marbella (Málaga) who follows your youtube videos and loves your work I wellcome you here and offer myself in case you need any thing.
I agree Nick Carver is brilliant. I love his work and associate with this topics that he selects as an artist. I will be fun to see what you do with your part of the assignment.
I've never been to Europe, but I think that 5 is mine. The Switzerland tourism videos with James Popsys was great, and I'm looking forward to watching this series.
Such a great start to an exciting series! It will be interesting to see how you go with these daily vlogs to see if you can cope. I hope your elbow isn't throbbing still and you won't have to go to the hospital for it haha. Keep up the amazing work Thomas!! 😎
Something new, different and exciting, Thomas. Something to shake up status quo and add a little adrenalin. It will be great and you'll love it. I got a surprise job for magazine several years ago. They said they wanted to feature my color photography in their magazine. I'm thinking OH YEAH!!. Good publicity for my landscape images. When I showed up it turned out they wanted me photograph one of the most famous country music stars in Nashville at his home for THE feature article in the magazine for the next issue. He turned out to one of the most pleasant and entertaining people I've ever worked with and I knocked it out of the park. Even got the front cover and by-line. Not every assignment has turned out that well for me for sure but I can't wait to see yours. I know it will be a fine art presentation.
Just to say I really enjoyed this! I find it really hard putting together lots of broll footage into a coherent video, so can appreciate the effort of making these videos a AND processing the actual pictures you are taking. Any tips on video workflow would be greatly appreciated! Can’t wait for the rest of the vlogs…
Looking forward to a great series Tom!! LOL...after the last time Nick Carver described one of his trips to EU....the "problems" he had, I never thought we'd have every seen him leave the US again for travel!! Looking forward to next installment!! CC
Great vlog Thomas. I found it very interesting showing us how a photo shoot job is done by yourself. I am really looking forward to seeing the rest of them.
Great to hear even if it's just for one week. I have noticed other Photographer's doing the same. One content creator even one for each day in the advent calendar.
