Well Jimbo it's looking good so far. You don't have to remove them shingles with only having one layer you can put on 3 layers before you have to strip it all off. So you can put one more layer of shingles on your roof 👍

Nice Jim. Egg crate foam has terrific grip and insulation qualities on any asphalt shingle roof. Makes a very nice sit or kneel pad on a hot roof and is great to have if you need to spend time messing about with flashing and the like. Looking good.

You remind me of me Jim. It’s getting tougher at 62 and disabled but I still struggle to pay someone else to do a crappy job and over charge for the simplest of things. In New Jersey (USA) a roof like that would be 10-15k US dollars. That’s just insane. Unfortunately so many don’t realize with a little common sense these things are not that difficult. Other than the physical part 😬

Jimbo take care up there our minds think we are still young but the body slows up. You dont need to put Tar under the shingles, just take a tourch warm up the underside and there stick down. Save you time and money.😊

The tool you’re using to pry up the tiles, I call a flat bar, even though it’s clearly not flat, just an Aussie thing maybe, you did good Jim. 😊

Alot of work for one person Jim, but a great job.

Yeah, roofing sucks that’s for damn sure after shingling over shingles once I will never do it again now just gonna sit back and wait for the nail pops.

Put a small piece of 2x4 down under the pry bar for the extra reach to get the nails or spikes out.

Live alone myself in a city house Hamilton, Ont. and have learned to do it all also, Alum Siding (Soffit and face eaves, windows , drywall..etc...! A shaped roof was fun! not! Good job my friend; lines are good ; Slow but sure! tc tfs .
