I find it increasingly difficult to understand where this general view many workers (mainly though not exclusively the lower hanging fruit) have regarding the legality of filming in public has come from. Even more surprising as one would surmise that the extent of their legal knowledge doesn’t extend much beyond what they read once on a toilet wall! Yet another symptom of sad Britain today!

That wasn't a waste of time at all. It was an interesting and funny observation on human psychology. With them being adamant that they knew the law better than you. And that they were right and you were wrong. Even when you gave them very well reasoned arguments, such as photographing the Queen on her balcony. And then towards the end, the ego tripping in and them trying to win a victory by moving you away from the entrance.

Two comments: One whilst I watched this one - an old fashioned term came to mind 'Blockhead' I wonder what the collective noun is for more than one 'Blockhead'? And two, correct me if I am wrong is not the reason as to why you could not stand on the pavement to your right is the presence of an illegally parked motor vehicle (a vehicle most likely to be belonging to an employee very near there) on the pavement?
