I understand your frustration at having to repeat yourself over and over. Some of these people might be new, others may have missed previous videos and just can't work modern tech. Think of many students, new each year and having to repeat over and over. We are your students and we love you. Be the teacher I know you are and take a deep breath.😻

When I worked at Crate and Barrel we used to play music on the wine glasses for customers. They were not lead crystal glasses 😊 You can too! Just add some water to each glass lol. You crack me up. Give it to them!

I love your rants ❤ They’re great to listen to, everyone has specific frustrations related to their job or life that are different, but they’re all also so relatable! Like the root of everyone frustration is the same-people who have a tendency to blame or get angry at others for their actions, or lack of actions 😅

Dr Lori, you have a whole lot of trolls trying to bother you. You need a moderator to keep them at bay. You’re wonderful. Your time is being taken advantage of.

I truly sympathize, you pour out you wealth of knowledge to us. Pearls ARE hard, even when I think I have made a determination, I don't feel confident. Especially if reselling the item, if I'm wrong and my customer makes a big issue, my future selling opportunities might be hurt. Thank you for ALL you do!

So I'm new here and just learning. I will spend hours watching 1000 videos. I won't ask any questions because it will probably be on one of the videos. Your expertise is appreciated.

Lol, I get aggravated at some of the things people come up with, so I can imagine how hard it must be to repeat over and over again. Of what you mention, the set/pair must be at the top of the list! I mean, come on, people, please! The "pair" of paintings....ok if they are obviously of different subject matter and look nothing alike how can they be considered a pair/set? A pair of identical vases...yes! And the pearl thing. Why does no one investigate things? It's not hard to glance through your video titles and find the answer to many questions. I feel like you are a Saint by keeping your cool at all the endless repeat questions you must get. I quite enjoy your rants! Keep them coming. Eventually, they'll get it. Lol Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us even though it seems like we don't get it!

I’m not a pearl person. I’ve bought and sold and have always said I had no idea if it was real or not. I let the buyer figure that out. Now that I know you have a video on it, I’m gonna look for it. I’ve heard the old tales on how you know the real from the fake. I’m not interested in rubbing them on my teeth. Who knows where they’ve been. I enjoy your videos. You would think people can learn what’s good crystal and what’s not after I explain it but people are hard headed. I show them pressed crystal cut crystal and wavy crystal as well. It’s easy for us to spot but hard for others. I show them that sometimes polish crystal can be sold a lot cheaper than Waterford yet can be better quality, open your eyes

I am glad you said NOT to 'ping' glasses. It is an English superstition that every time a glass is 'pinged', a British sailor dies. Someone did it at a family party and next day my, uncle late for his ship, fell between the dock and the ship. I do not need to say more, but we cringe every time someone 'pings 'a glass. It is merely superstition but we Brits love our sailors ! On a more cheerful note I have collected several sets of American glasses. I have come to appreciate some of the lovely glass that USED to be made in America. I will look through your past videos to see if you say anything about American glassware. Thanks for your videos (and I promise not to 'teeth' my pearls !)

Love your videos. The way I learned about pearls. I crushed one and looked under a microscope. You could see the layers and layers of pearl nacre. Then I crushed a fake pearl and it looked like tiny crumbs of sand. I heard china was faking pearls using sand. 😊

If my interpretation of a video on pearls is correct, you mention something about faux pearl looking like an onion and I am taking it that the faux pearl drill hole looks like the peeling skin of an onion. Hope that's what you meant.

i live in Asia, weeirdly enough, Chinese freshwater pearls are cheaper in our malls than the glass pearls.

I am sorry you have to repeat yourself. Maybe, I don't know, are these new people to the channel? I work for the Goodwill and I have tried to help teach what I know from a reseller and watching you. Everyone takes a different perspective each time I help. Peoples personalities and some mental health and comprehension play a part in all of this. If we teach this is a common thing. I am not an expert but I have been dealing with so many people on so many different levels for years now. I have days when I feel like no one has listened but teaching involves patience not saying its not hard! You are loved and everyone that watches you wants to learn. Some do well and some struggle. Some are good researching the information on your website and some not. You give so much information some find it hard to process. You are great at what you do! Remember everyone is different and that is what this great world go round. I want to thank you for all I have learned form you. In my eyes this is not a good way to handle this. I think it will do more harm than good. Thank you

I have a question, how do you determine value on a one of a kind piece like a rookie card or special home run ball etc?

People you need to take notes in a notebook that is what they are for, that way you do not have to ask over and over and over again. She does video to teach you and if you forget then go back and watch the videos it is not that hard.

I listened, but I didn’t hear you explain how to determine if pearls are genuine. I’m one of those people who usually rubs them against my teeth to determine if pearls are genuine. I’d appreciate knowing a different way to make that determination.
