The game isn't hitting like it used too, in my opinion there isn't enough reason to HAVE to play a support or tank brawler. The roles should be more defined for the team based gameplay. Not to mention the last like 15 brawlers have all been DPS brawlers. I'd like to see some more tanks and support brawlers

Things that I wanted for BS to do: - Making midseason updates (usually a small/minor update that aims to balance, fix and sometimes add small additions - Fixing gears (at least make them less reliant, or balance them) - Adding a 5v5 mode (I wanted this mode so bad) - Add more Support and Tank brawlers (We had a lot of Damage Dealers, plus we need brawlers that just not counter certain brawlers like Mortis)

I say this update was summer of cosmetics. Because only new stuff we got for a summer update is cosmetic items. Tons of sprays, pins, profile icons, skins, new special pins, visual changes, and stuff other than penny there's not a lot of balance changes, only 1 brawler Otis: just another brawler that has a simple flat range which shoots 3 projectiles. and his super seems annoying against victims. he also seems like a boring brawler but hope i am wrong about that new game mode is super un-creative, boring and can make it's player rage. as for lore, i don't think they're adding lore again this summer. it will be a boring summer without lore, probably it will come in September or never. i get that they might not have ideas for lore stuff, but they are building hype with Starr park Easter eggs in videos and community posts. as for challenges, they have simple rewards like pins. not even skins anymore, it's not of a very interesting concept but still works i guess then we have club league improvement, if you want to call it one their purpose was to make club league less boring with club quests but no it made club league more time wasting and i don't think people have fun doing more quests. Before it was doing a couple of simple power league matches to complete your club league Day, now it's both club league games and doing hard quests like win 20/10 games bruh I'd suggest more improvements to quests since easier and more fun quests equal people to keep playing more. plus, the new mystery challenge, gamemode or whatever it is. it's an interesting concept but i don't think it has a lot of combinations, first of all it shouldn't include trophy winning/losing. then, it should randomize our brawlers, skins available (like a skin randomizer) and also our gadgets and star powers, so we won't know what we will play another bad side of the update is postal Brock. dude doesn't feel like a power league skin. it's more like a club league skin because it's so random. Also, it doesn't have anything to do with update theme, as every power league skin is related to the season's theme. I'm disappointed that colt and Brock, two brawlers that have lots of skins got another skin a little point, that every brawler that got remodels get a skin, i wish penny also got a skin along with remodel. another thing, frank said in twitter that they are not planning rework to gears for 2022 and beyond. like was that a joke? community is asking for gears rework since they are released. also i don't believe frank about that because whatever he said no to before, has become features of the game nowadays. (example: skin pins, exclusive bp skins coming back) i love cosmetics in updates but honestly just making an update full of cosmetics and not so game changing content is a bad idea. they even builded hype in the brawl talk thumbnail by implementing there will be lots of improvements. power league suggestions feature was good though, finally added. and another big issue is that map maker is in beta since amber update. last summer update was big enough with events like bad randoms and it made map maker a lot more entertaining, it also had the new wkbrl 7/24 going on.

listening to the community is fine but, honestly, this update is a 5/10 for me. Feels stagnant. I haven't had fun playing bs for a long time now. and Hunters is basically lone star but it's better because it ends faster 😂

Kairos, I love that in these 100% Honest Update Review videos, you always frame your feedback in a way that uplifts everyone, especially the developers . The criticism about Brawl Star's lackluster parts are always clearly laid out, but it never sounds like bashing when it comes from you. I imagine that when the developers watch these videos (I'm pretty sure they do), they'll be in the mood to improve Brawl Stars. I'm so glad that we have you in our Brawl Stars community and I feel that you have had an inmeasurably positive impact on this game.

This is the first kairos video ive watched in a long time. I havent played brawl stars for a very long time. Instead ive been playing star wars galaxy of heros. Just seeing the positivity from kairos and I truly think he is so right. It is so refreshing to see supercell trying to appease the players.

You really killed it with this video, Kairos. The most important thing to remember with Brawl Stars is that both the game and the community involvement are immaculate. I don’t like the way gears have gone either, but it’s incredibly commendable that each update includes at least like 3 quality of life updates that are so heavily requested by the community

I'll just say that to anyone who is unhappy with the game : Share. Your. Thoughts. Instead of bullying the devs or the community managers, describe your experience to them, show them what is wrong and unfun, what could be improved and maybe some ideas on how to do it. It's healthier and helps the game more than harassing them because this just might make them want to stop making the game you like.

I had actually quit the game because it just wasn't fun for me lately. I hope the Brawl Stars team make a huge update in the future that will attract more new players and those who took a break from the game.

I 100% agree with you saying that end-game progression is really bad. I’m in that spot, and there has been nothing big at all to motivate me. As someone who plays Brawl Stars since the beta, I must say that my interest is decreasing over time because of the lack of end game content. I still play the game, but I hope that the developers will address the issue sooner than later. I still love your videos and hope the developers will listen to your feedback. I've spent over $10,000 on Brawl Stars, but ever since gears were released...I've probably played 2 to 3 hours.

I played since global release, got to 38k trophies, logged in every single day and have spent probably about 300€ on the game. This is the first time ever that i decided to quit. I had every single brawler unlocked and maxed before and now, even after 7 more months of progression, including club league, i still only have 10 out of like 50 brawlers maxed. It just feels like a slap in the face to have all your progress and invested money taken out of your hands. It's the Clash Royale lvl 14 update all over again. I kept playing and holding out hope, thinking that it would get better. With every update i lost more and more hope and the game started to feel more like a chore than a hobby, to the point where i stopped logging in and only ever played club league. The amount of grind that is needed to keep up is insane. You have to collect your 200 tokens per day, you have to complete daily and weekly quests, you have to grind the boring weekend events and play challenges, you have to play three map maker games per day, you have to play club league, you have to play power league, you have to push every brawler at least 1 trophy per season to not miss out on star points and you have to push every new brawler for hours to get them to ~600 trophies. I haven't even touched the last four brawlers that released, they're all still at 0 trophies, because it takes way to much time to push and upgrade them. The over-the-top monetization is another point that ruined this game. It feels like the game hasn't gotten any improvements in months, the only thing they are doing is mass-producing brawl passes and chromatic brawlers to sell more (hence also the shortened seasons) and they make chromatics intentionally broken to make people have to buy the pass if they want to be competitive. New brawlers are just not fun anymore, we have more than enough and all the recent brawlers just aren't innovative enough. At this point i'd prefer if they just stopped releasing brawlers all together so that i could at least progress my account. Franks tweet was the final nail in the coffin for me. The fact that they refuse to even acknowledge that gears and lvl 11 are a problem is disgusting. I used to be a proud player, i used to be so satisfied with the developers and i always brought up the brawl stars team as the perfect example of what a company needs to be like when talking about other games. I can no longer say that. Supercell, you lost a loyal customer. Even if i ever come back, i don't think i can support or spend money on this company anymore, unless some serious changes are made.

I miss BIG balance changes, like before we got like over 30 nerfs and buffs and reworks in single updates, but now we barely get 10, which feels bad, I would like it if each summer update, we get a lot of balance changes.

I stopped playing brawl stars due to the bad gears update, I had a maxed account and was a medium spender. However, o still watch you Kairos. Keep up the coolest work. Love you Kairos.

I've came back to the game recently after quitting for 2 years straight and it's as fun as I remembered it to be and i think people should know how dopamine works before thinking of a endgame rework or putting their frustration by hating on devs...

Hot take: Hunters is basically replacing Lone Star and despite the still obvious flaw of kill stealing. It is DEFINITELY the best 10 man non-showdown gamemode

Completely right about the lack of end game content plus when all my brawlers were set level 9 it did crush my heart a lot. I lost a lot of interest over time and gears definitely didn't help, quit for like 1 month only to come back recently to finish the season in a big push. Love your videos even when I wasn't playing the game. Edit: had a fully maxed out account when everything was set to level 9 shoutout to others that understand this pain.

U know, u gotta respect kairos for being so transparent with us in regards to his thoughts and feelings towards the game as a whole. Even tho i feel like the endgame in BS is now the best, far from it actually, i really feel like the dev team is always going to strive to implement some amazing additions to the game at some point, because I'm sure that they realize the game is not hitting the same way that it used to. my biggest problem is matchmaking and the gear system, cause my brawlers are underpowered and its a struggle to push them, and im f2p lol, the update is okay tbh, every season feels fresh so yea i dont mind that its not a massive summer update. anyways keep up the amazing content kairos :D

I would really love to see stats, so we can see how much damage we did or how many kills we got

Just wanted to say, thank you SO MUCH for being such a positive and generous voice in the Brawl Stars community.

It really does make sense why Supercell is doing what they are doing. They can either rework gears using Kairos's idea (which he himself said might be flawed) or add something entirely new to the endgame like a trophy rework. Both have probably an equal chance to flop and while a new mechanic that isn't great isn't the best for players, it is the best thing for them, the content creators, and growing the game audience as a whole. Then gears can be comfortably addressed

This one video is what I'm waiting for, thank you Kairos! This made me feel like I'm linking closer with the community managers. I thought this was one of the worst updates in a year or two, but it turns out to not be that bad at all. Actually, the devs have improved a lot that we asked for and I'm grateful about it. I'm suggesting a feature just like the new masteries feature in clash Royale, it will definitely improve the end-game of brawl stars. All in all, much love and support to u, have always been using code Kairos! Hope there's a big new update later this year to allow me to get back the passion just like 2-3 years ago, really looking forward to it. #KairosLove

As someone who is big into the Club features I will say that this update was nice for that. However, balance changes felt like the bare minimum that I could reasonably expect (and even then, I still think Janet got off too easy and Bonnie should've probably been nerfed). Penny rework and Happy Surprise nerf saved the balance changes tbh Overall I feel like the update's disappointing but not as bad as some people make it out to be. 6/10

The thing with gears is the change of mindset rather than the extra progresion, every other supercell game always had this mindset of you will never have a fully maxed account and rather focus on what you have, BS is the only game where having a maxed account was reasonable. -CoC and Boom beach: play with strategies of your level -CR: focus on a few decks -If BS was "un-maxeable" from the start gears wouldn't have such repercusion.

All I wanna say is that kairos, you’re the best, and time and time again the community goes to YOU for update reviews. You’re the voice of the community and that goes a long way. I’m sure that brawl stars will find a fix to the issues in the game right now, whether it takes months or closer to a year. Needed more balance changes, bc I don't always care or enjoy the gamemodes and don't have money or patience to save for bp, so game changing balance changes are the thing I look toward. Most of the changes didn't feel very effective, so that was disappointing

There are definitely a ton of issues with Brawl Stars right now, but I know for a fact that the devs are just people and are trying their best, and players really have to consider that. High hopes for the future! #kairoslove

Something really cool but simple and easy the devs could do is just put every random game mode and modifier they have ever made in friendly games. That would be so much fun for messing around with friends or having tournaments and all their work to make those modes would not just be wasted because we barely ever see them anymore.

What I would like next update: - Have access to all brawlers in friendly games - Make the brawler upgrades less expensive - Add another trophy road brawler at around 15k trophies - And have more balance changes frequently

Kairos just to let you know about the vision gear, but only some type maps have lot more bushes, then that what vision gear is for to see your opponent, so I recommend using vision gear for Pam, Lola, Poco, or whoever the brawler has the wide main attack

I completely agree with you, this was a good update, but you have to remember that this is the summer update, which is supposed to be the biggest update of the year and keep this game from getting stale while the devs are on break.

I love brawl stars but I am growing tired of playing simply because gears have been in game since november 2021 and I only have 16 brawlers upgraded to level 11, myself being an active player since 2018, gears simply doesn´t feel worth the time and effort. As a suggestion for a different progression (not a replacement for gears) theres "MASTERIES" for each brawler, for example: win 50 matches with bonnie to obtain exclusive bonnie pin, then win 100 matches with Bonnie to win exclusive spray.

I remember having so much fun playing this game before gears but now i only play at the end of the season for rewards , its not only gears but how toxic the community is.(But i still enjoy your videos 😂 idk why)

the new hunters mode is cool but i don't like the fact that my kills get stolen😤the update is amazing except for Byron's nerf, he was my favorite healer...I do wish they spoke about gear system or fixing matchmaking cause im going against 40k players when im only 27k trophies...ps (i didn't almost cry at the end when Kairos was pouring out his heart telling us how much this all means to him and letting us know how much he appreciates our support) #kairoslove

My main issue is having to wait another 6 months for any change to gears. By that time I’m going to have invested so much more scrap and gold in maxing out brawlers for something that might change. I hope it’s not changed too much like resistance to vision gears as that’ll have just wasted another 6 months of progress

To your point about Gears. When they introduced it to the game is when I stopped because I felt that it was going to take even longer for me to max my account.

I feel like this is a 6/10 for me. The content for now is cool and neat but we kinda need newer content. We always just expect a new brawler for the next season with new game modes and skins. I'm fine with gears rn but I just feel a bit stale now. I really hated how the community sent hate comments after the premiere in the live chat, it's just not okay. They work hard to come up with new ideas and executing it in a way that is enjoyable

What disappointed me the most were the balance changes, to be honest. Remember when we got, like, 51 of them? Now all we get are basically some small tweaks here and there. And in this update we got almost nothing: brawlers that were trash in the previous meta (save for Penny) will be trash for the whole summer, and brawlers that were op will stay that way (save for Eve maybe).

Something I've seen with this update is Supercell did MASSIVE reworks to over 20 different skin and default model effects, so that shows they are definitely working on improving the game. I still think the update was lacking a lot, but that's definitely a plus.

this situation actually makes me kinda sad, i've been somewhat disconnected from brawl stars for the past 4 months because i just had to prioritize some things over it and i honestly don't have the same interest i had before. im not the kind of person who likes videogames, in fact, brawl stars is the only game i play and i started playing it in the beginning of 2020 cause a friend randomly showed it to me and i was sooo bad, i remember like not wanting to play showdown cause i died everytime, so i never thought i would be playing the game for so long and that i would reach higher trophies that fast. im very attached to it and the situation genuinely makes me sad because discovering brawl stars gave me the distraction i needed while i was suffering depression and other stuff. i just hope changes are done and the interest increases again, for now i'm just not going to stop supporting you, cause the impact you had in my experience was huge and even though i dont play brawl stars that much now, i still watch every single video you upload, every single one. #kairoslove

So, I had a completely maxed out account before gears update, and as everyone, I felt quite overwelmed when gears and power 11 came. Powering up brawlers felt like grinding and a job rather than a fun thing to do, so I left brawl stars. I didn't find fun in it anymore. I believe (and obviously) this is the reason why brawl stars is trending down and I hope the team knows what they are doing. I started playing brawl stars again a few days ago and honestly I was shocked when I saw no changes to gears. I also feel really sorry that this is making an impact not only to supercell, but to content creators as well. I'm subscribed to you and I will try to watch as much videos as I can, Kairos. Hope everything will be ok in the future

I fell off after the gears and level 11 update. It really felt like hitting the reset button for all the grinding to level 9 for all the brawlers. Then to add more levels and gears to grind seemed so overwhelming that it made me not want to play anymore

I definitely think the “ultimate” ability you hinted at far in the past would be an awesome change. For example, use your super 3x, and then the Ultimate button is activated.
