We (mostly my wife) decorate for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving. That's also when I get to sing Rudolph the Barbecued Reindeer 😊

I’m from Salem, SC. The best things to offer here are the waterfalls, hiking trails, lakes, and rivers. The Loco Mart on Hwy 11 is the best place to stop and get a snack and a drink. It’s a super small town with not even a stop light in it.

This town reminds me of another town you walked through lol 😆 I almost thought it was the same. I guess a lot of towns have the same layouts. The cost of real estate in this area is simply outrageous. It's gone crazy high in the past 40 years now even with inflation added in it's still more than double the price. More car traffic than foot traffic area.

It looks like they really do not want people to stop and visit. They need to work on that if tourism is important to them.

We get enough tourists for the waterfalls and lakes and its really all we have to offer, not many restaurants, no motels, we really don't even have stop lights.... super small town they even closed our high-school and combined it with the next town over

Timothy, you are not alone in your assessment of how sacred holidays are no longer sacred in the eyes of the greedy. Like you, countless people believe that the entire month of November should reflect the fall season and the Thanskgiving holiday (a day in which people should be showing their appreciation and thanks for what they have). MTGA!! = Make Thanksgiving Great Again!! . The entire month of December should reflect everything Christmas! Many people (I included) put up their Christmas trees/decorations the day after Thanksgiving to ensure their enjoyment of the Christmas season the entire month of December. The constant, annoying early rollout of the Christmas season by retail establishments and other entities everywhere (as early as late September or between October and November is totally disgusting and a true, blatant desecration of the meaning of Christmas. It is also the main reason the Christmas spirit is lost in the hearts and minds of masses of people by the time December gets here. MCGA!! = Make Christmas Great Again!! (the entire month of December). GOD bless!
