@Steve Gracy In the beginning yeah it was just the idea of shaming God. But then I didn't like the idea of putting physical and emotional attachments to every guy I could have slept with. I know how I am. But I also watched my sisters and friends go through these horrible break ups and they always said they couldn't believe they had slept with them. (sounds dumb I know, but to a 16 year old girl I knew I just didn't want that regret). So I didn't want to do it until I knew for sure I loved the person I was going to have that first time with. I felt like for me this was something that I wanted to be sacred. It was my body and I wanted someone to want it not for a night but for life. Not everyone feels that way of course and I in no way hold anyone else to how I viewed it. My husband wasn't a virgin and I didn't care if he was. It wasn't supposed to be a standard, just a personal choice.
