So before getting into the video I think that is hugs lead to sex according to this couple. Then any alcohol, it probably even grape juice, must lead to alcoholism and spousal abuse.
I am Roman Catholic and we drink and dance (but I have to admit US Catholicism is a bit different) but I also have met people from other religions that are forbidden to drink or dance (e.g Baptists, Pentecostals, and Muslims). And it is okay because we don't judge each other
You’re living the worldly way I did that yesterday. I tested God and He let me be an idiot. Can cross that off my bucket list now. Alcohol sucks. My boyfriend said nothing about my drinking and he’s a lay elder at a church. Unfortunately if you are stuck in sin they will pull you aside and ask you to leave but that’s if you join the church. Sin corrupts the church and non believers or progressive Christians don’t understand that but I do. Best thing to do is work on your inner child if you feel pain and not have others tell you how you should act or be. I choose to try and not drink because I know where it will lead me and it’s not a good road to be down.
As a person who went to parties and didn't drink or do any drugs, you aren't partying with the right people. Be around people who respect your decisions. Good Night Moon, it's not that hard. Life Pro Tip: Get root beer in a brown bottle, nobody will bother you.
you will probably never see this but i just wanna say thank you for these videos i’m coming to the terms with the fact i grew up in a religious cult, i always knew something was off though. and i think a lot of that came from watching ur vids as a teen. I also remember my religious group telling us in graphic detail our friends would go to hell as preteens just like paul and morgan were saying.
@@toaster4693 But isn't that eternal punishment supposed to be given if you do not repent? And I believe there is a verse in the Bible that does say only God himself is allowed to judge us for our behavior and choices. There's also this story of Jesus when he was still going around with his apostles, he met a woman who was about to be stoned because she committed adultery or something and he was like "he who is free of sin should be the first to throw the stone". And people were like "duuude, none of us are free of sin omg". These people sure don't know how to practice what they preach, I guess.
@@Erika-xm2mi It's all about control. Telling someone they broke your very important rules and if they don't apologize, they'll be tortured and burn in painful agony for eternity. It's a really disgusting fairy tale.
Any time they talk about Morgan's "past" Paul gives her a look....like he is constantly reminding her of that past that she says she's been "forgiven" for, reminding her to feel guilty constantly.
I was a boy. They were two girls. Can I make it any more obvious? I am the ULTlMATE L0VER on this platform. Don't enter my ch*nnel if you are not above a certain age, dear nexis
It seems like this is a big theme in these communities. Your "dark" past before you found the light. And then when they say what it was they did, like going to a party, it's not really that "dark". But they have to find some way to shame them so they stay in control.
@@neeko4676 yeah having a “powerful” testimony about what “finding god” did for your life is very important for these Christian wannabe influencers. it’s supposed to attract people and make them want to love jeezus too
Morgan's face lit up when she was talking about going to that party with all the alcohol, pot & hot guys she had never met before 😆 that was the first time in this whole reaction video that I saw her smile!
Honestly Morgan sounds so disenfranchised with what she’s saying, the words are coming out but i don’t believe that she stands by Paul’s ideology......just saying
I believe that Morgan thinks she believes in the things she's saying, but deep down she's more of the "live and let live" camp. I bet if we could look inside both of their heads, Morgan would have a lot less unconscious judgemental thoughts.
I think she was too young when she met Paul. I hope that she finds some happiness because she looks like she isn't happy or fulfilled. I don't think she completely realizes what is happening or a way to get out. She would have to leave her ENTIRE community to get out of the situation if she's being abused.
You arrive in Hell. Satan: So, I see you were a drinker. You: Really? It wasn't the sexual debauchery or atheism that got me? Satan: Nope. It was the liquor. It's a surprise every time.
@@FebruaryJulia See, if P&M said "cuppachino" instead of alcohol, I might have found that more plausible. "Shopping at Starbucks is a ticket straight to Hell!" I can believe.
These people would say "the alcohol LEAD to the sexual debauchery" and the "alcohol/drug abuse lead to the atheism" which makes no sense since there are a ton of deeply religious alcoholics and drug addicts, but they don't care about facts, now do they? In the 60s, they had anti weed propraganda about how "marijuana is bad because it leads to sexual activity" and showed two college kids getting high and taking their clothes off. Reefer madness did the same thing.
He clearly loves that she feels guilty because he constantly gives her this look of “you better feel guilty for being a ‘sinner’ in your past” and he constantly prompts her by the things he says or comments he makes towards “some people”
I don't think he likes making her feel guilty exactly. I think he actually wants to constantly remind her and stroke his ego like he's saying "I am so great that I forgave this thing you did."
If what she did in her past was SO BAD, why did he get into a relationship with her? Anyone who has a "savior" complex is only in it for themselves. He's a narcissist. He needs someone to "help" to make himself feel better. It's control and insecurity on his part.
@@tinabahena1254 it does but I'm saying I think his action is to benefit himself more than guilt her. He doesn't have to guilt her, their church they are in does that.
Most bible bangers do have an obsession with power and control. It's coupled with titanic pride in being so much better than everyone else. It's a sadomasochistic philosophy. Judaism is Obsessive-compulsive. Islam is megalomaniacal. All of the big three bad ideas are neurotic as hell.
Do they seriously not realize you are absolutely capable of going to a party, where people are getting lit af, and *not* engage in that stuff? I had several friends who weren’t into that stuff. You know what they’d do? Show up, stick to virgin cocktails, play Wii baseball or Taboo, and have a good time. Literally no one cares if you don’t drink or of drugs at a party (and if they do, then you picked the wrong friends).
This 100% i just smoke weed, and my group of friends were really into doing coke, they would turn to me on nights out and be like "you want some" n i would say "no" qnd they would just say "okay but if you change your mind just let us know we got you" and that was that. A girl i dated her friends were all into ket and when i would say no to that i was met with "BUT YOU SMOKE WEED SO KET JS FINE YOU WILL NE FINE JUST TRY SOME GO ON DO IT". It really is about having the right friends that can accept your no as an answer.
I mean they apparently think you're sinning if you speak to new people at a party so I guess not 😂 but yeah I agree I've definitely been to parties where people are doing drugs I'm not into and I just.... don't do them. Literally no-one cares. Although I guess Paul and Morgan would say that I might as well have gone to a Wal-Mart 🤔
I no longer drink or smoke but I might have a joint(often not a whole one anyways) and my family/friends don't give a rat's ass. Also these two seems unaware that Christians drink and smoke, too. A shit load of them, actually...
Well in this religion ur not suppose to hang out with or around "sinners" period. Even tho it says he sat with so many, your not suppose to. It says hate sin love the sinner but it bs. I opened my eyes n saw alot
My predominantly Christian nation, where there are churches around every corner, and a cross around every neck, actually goes into full street riots if the government does a toque de queda that restricts the sell of alcohol during any religious holidays or during this pandemic.
My christian friends were the ones who slept around, partied the most, did the most drugs, tried the most drugs. Then post on Facebook about how christ is their savior. From themselves i would guess
When Morgan talks about the 'guilt of her past' you know she literally just went to some parties, had some drinks, maybe made out with a guy or two. And yet she feels so much guilt about a perfectly normal thing many of us do when we're young. Paul has really done a number on her.
When they have kids, it's going to be all about parental shaming. Shaming other parents who aren't raising their kids right. Or Paul shaming Morgan for not being a good enough mother.
With the right people, wandering around in Walmart can be a blast. Not with Paul and Morgan, though. We’d be looking at the same three potted plants for hours.
It’s only exciting if you live in the middle of nowhere and don’t get invited to things. I would know, it’s the only reason I go to Walmart half the time.
So God's a lion, and Satan's a lion. And they're related. God had a son. Satan tried to kill that son but instead the kid eventually ended up running away and going into hiding... Is Christianity secretly the Lion King?! I need answers! 😂
Well a lot of Christians are actually extremely prudish and straight edge so I'm sure he shames her for it because he looks down at her for ever partaking in such debauchery lmao he probably thinks she's inferior for ever giving into 'sin'.
@@rachelnygaard2150 Yeah, they're both on another planet. Morgan seriously gives me middle school youth group vibes... mindlessly repeats the nonsense from the Bible over and over and also acts like a 14-year-old in all their videos. She's brainwashed real good. Though I can't give her a pass on her conceitedness.
We need a warning label below their RU-vid videos. Like those wiki articles below videos by flat earthers, covid deniers/minimizers, and Americans who still think Trump didn't lose the 2020 election... wait... those are all just the same people, huh.
Yeah, they're so right! Going to parties with drinking, pot, and "dirty dancing" will challenge your faith. It was when I realized I had a better, more welcoming and supportive community among my partying/clubing friends than I did at church, that I stopped going to church and eventually became an atheist.
I’m on the other side. I feel sorry for those who don’t know the true God. Her arguments don’t appeal to me because there’s more to life than doing what you want. It’s so pointless being an atheist, living day after day like you are in a cycle.
Please Stop demeaning peoples experience and ability to make choices. Just as some believe we come back as creatures after death just as some believe in the 'universe' some can believe in a creator. There's such a discrimination against genuine people who want to follow Christianity because yes some people in some society have experienced controlling fear based environements, but this isn't due to the bible and faith itself, its due to those humans chosing to be that way and if God exists then yes those people will be judged not suddenly put in heaven because they identified as Christian. We need to respect peoples ability to make choices especially considering nowadays how much time Christians spend studying the bible and supporting eachother. Jaclyn is very biased and actually most of what she says is just empty mocking with no substance. I don't watch P and M because I don't particular like their content but maybe they give bad vibes because thats how they are not because theg identify as Christian. Noone ever said Christians couldnt be different to eachother, have different lives and upbringings, struggle or disagree. This discrimination , stereorytypes and assumptions against all Christians needs to end.
@@rileyy448 you don't true but it doesn't mean having God can't make you happy. It can for so many people and I think that's beautiful. Most Christians are for more accepting and embracing then anyone realises and they spend so much time understanding themselves, their behaviour and the bible and that's why the stay on the path because it feels right to them. You don't have to be Christian to relfect on yourself. But most Christians do reflect on themsekves, it's not even a fear thing as many Aetheists assume.
In undergrad I was in a sorority, had fun most weekends, and still got into PA school. Also I’m a fan of Jesus and I don’t think he hates me for any of that. Hot take lol
@@Cloudy4Days I've never been forced to do anything either. What I think is some people are more easily persuaded than others so they think having a little pushback is 'being forced' to do something. It's misplaced regret if imho. I've been temped once or twice to drink since I got sober, but I got so sick this winter that this very fact alone dissuaded me both times. That and the 50 pounds I lost ever since I laid off the Bacardi!
i feel like we're literally watching religion destroy her and it's heartbreaking. she never looks happy anymore. in this one, she even looks sick. i hope she's okay. i really can't see them staying together and if they do, there's no way it'll stay a healthy relationshp. i feel like there's already something going on behind the scenes that we don't know about.
No, but he convinced her to stop taking her meds prescribed for depression/BPD (borderline personality disorder) because if she really surrendered fully to god, he could cure her mental illness. I'm not saying this to shame Morgan, but the way she has spoken about being healed and no longer needing meds is SO damaging for their young audience. (Morgan has publicly spoken about stopping her meds, the illnesses I mentioned are what I believe she said she had, but it's been a minute since I saw it and I could be wrong...)
Morgan looks so unhappy in the first video. She has giant bags under her eyes and she is riddled with guilt. And yeah, in the second video, she looks like that one drunk person at the party that is trying to convince everyone how great things are, when her life is actually falling apart.
Paul acts so self-righteous. He’s like, “oh no I went to a church party” now let’s talk about all the bad things you did. When she said it took her a long time to get over some of her past decisions you can tell she’s not over them and then Paul forced her to talk about it and why it’s awful to do what she did. This is such an abusive relationship 😩
That’s what I was thinking too! It’s like he enjoys making her feel less than hun by reminding her that she has a past. When in reality everyone has a past because we’re all human and humans aren’t perfect. He comes off as such a “I’m perfect and you were a sinner so I saved you” kind of man and it’s disgusting
@@tinabahena1254 definitely a perfect way of putting it, but instead of saving Morgan, in reality he’s trapped her. Really, how can someone, especially him, be so good at manipulation???

Hey Jaclyn, just wanted to let you know I recently went away from religion and became an atheist in part because of you and how you put out great, insightful content. Hope you have a great day, this video was great and I can't wait for you to be active on youtube again!
Her tattoos are old, he’s against them. Jacyln did a video about it and Morgan had a singing career at one point back when she (Morgan) was happy not being under Paul’s control. Do not take this horrible medication it is one of the most damaging no one should ever take it. It destroyed me and I almost died. But on top of it long-term use of it has a very very SEVERE consequences. For everyone. Withdrawing from it even according to your doctors plan will be one of the most miserable and horrifying experiences and long term damage is very common. The longer you take it the more horrifying the consequences to taking it all are. The UK has acknowledged this and I’ve read they’ve limited this medication much more than the US. US is finally acknowledging the damage done by this medication. Do not rapid withdrawal do the taper plan it will help your mind heal getting off of it. It is harmful and I’m not medication bashing and I’m not saying every single medication is harmful but this one in particular truly is and I really recommend you going on the website benzo buddies and looking and reading every single person story about how damage they were by this medication and you will start to see that’s a timeframe used does equate to the damage done. I have my own personal story but I’m not an anomaly this is the truth and I would wish this on no one on what I went through. There’s more to this but this is a U2, and I am very sincere when I say this test experiences with it and the overuse of it on elderly people really is upsetting because it is truly truly not something to be trifled with it’s not a joke. Long term used is where the real harm comes.
I'm confused about the whole entering the real world line. I didn't go to college, I just have a regular job full time, and I still go drinking and partying often. So... Am I still not in the real world?
Satan’s not a serpent? Snakes have been a symbol of wisdom in mythology for a long time. That’s why it’s a serpent in the garden of eden story bringing knowledge to the people. Later that story became associated with “satan” but that’s not in the original myth.
@@emmanarotzky6565 I'm referring to in the video when P&M contradicted themselves with something in the bible about Satan being a lion but God is also a lion with the commonly accepted Christian belief that satan was the serpent in the garden of eden.
I totally get what they’re saying about bad habits sticking around and making mistakes while drinking, but that’s no reason not to drink/ have fun- it’s just something to keep in mind while doing so! They just love fear-mongering dont they???
I feel a lot of the ridiculous things extremely religious have a problem with could be rebutted with "why do you care?" "You shouldn't drink in college!!!" It's not your business. Why do you care? "Gay people shouldn't get married!" It's not your business. Why do you care? "You shouldn't have sex outside of marriage!!!" It's not your business. Why do you care? Etc.

One of my dearest and oldest friend's husband had a sexual relationship before he met and then married her. That former relationship still affects him to this day... Mostly because his wife met her and they became fast friends and now hang out. Their eldest has been friends with other woman's only their entire lives. It is almost like it only affects you negatively if you are 1) hung up on sex, 2) contracted a disease (use protection people), and/or 3) the other person was toxic/abusive.
If they’re going to truly try to give people advice on “christian safe” activities can they at least TRY?? Like regardless of religious/political views. If you’re a content creator and your advice for a fun night out is “Walmart” you clearly aren’t putting time into your content... How would any young viewer actually benefit from that or have a “takeaway” from the video? Just off the top of my head..... ACTUAL ideas like painting Bob Ross... escape rooms... unsolved case files game... Jackbox party game on TV (family friendly), thrifting books for eachother, visiting cool places to hike, cooking a meal together, doing a bake-off, movie night, paint pottery, laser tag, IDFK BUT.... “idk you could like go to Walmart?” Thanks for the top notch content 🤦🏼♀️ UGH! Lol
@Emma Rosie If you put yourself on the internet as a public figure, you are opening yourself up to criticism. I don’t think a person would be a public figure if they couldn’t handle a good roast. Everybody is fair game on RU-vid. It’s a bit extreme to call that bullying, but yes definitely mocking. And it’s only fair given how nasty those two are to other people. Makes me smile to see them receive what they put out :) There’s no malice or hatred in Jaclyn’s video.
+Emma Rosie Their beliefs are harmful though. In Jacklyn videos she will sometimes use mockery/satire/jokes as a way to explain why it's harmful. Not only does it lighten the mood to a heavy topic but it can point out the harm in ways which normal conversation cannot.
+Emma Rosie They are anti LBGT+, they advocate for purity culture, are against divorce, claim that women should follow men and they do the 'threat of hell' to try and force people to live like them.
People keep saying that we can't prove that Paul is abusive to her, but this proves it to me. Maybe he doesn't hit her, but he is holding her past over her, subconsciously enforcing that threat of hell if she were to ever stop drinking his proverbial kool-aid, and that is emotional/mental abuse. You can see it in the way he was looking at her when they were talking about the past catching up with people and how nervous she acts when talking about her past. She is filled with shame and guilt, and I guarantee that Paul is influencing that shame and making her talk about it to remind her to be ashamed.
@@Ulvmannsskjebne How? Er maybe all the slavery, rape, misogyny, manipulation, lies, and homophobia that is in the Bible? Though, idk, as far as I can tell, Satan doesn't seem to do that. Making them both equally fake, but it also makes god an even bigger dick.
Did Morgan grow up in the Midwest? Because the whole "go have fun with your friends at Walmart" is actually a thing that we do here! People make jokes about it all the time about how the Midwest is so boring that all the teens and college kids hang out at Walmart! I can't tell you how many times I've gone to Walmart just to hang out with my friends and not even buy anything!
I get the impression that after ever video, he ends up berating her in some way for something she said in the video or some event from her past that he holds over her head every day.
