That is pretty wild how you turned that into an automated production knitting machine. I like the hat too!

Voltage isn't always an indicator of lowest torque - just the highest. Many drills have VARIABLE torque because plenty of tradespeople don't want to overtighten screws in soft or delicate material. Some even have such low torque settings you could stop it spinning with your hand. So if you've got a regular drill and don't want to buy another, check what settings it has.

Hi I have an Addi Kingsize, I think I got the last one in the UK from Amazon last Christmas although I think they are back in stock now, my husband made me an adaptor and I use a screw driver. I bought my granddaughter a Prym for her birthday, but I have now found a Sentro at a very good price as she is struggling with the Prym. I am hoping the extra 5 needles on the sentro will make larger hats as my grandsons find the Addi hats too tight. I have learnt that I have to try different yarns, My Addi likes Caron simply soft and Lion Brand Heartland best. I love the scarves my machine makes and might try garments next. Thank you for your videos. Margaret 🧶🧶

Thank you for all the wonderful information! I just ordered my santro today, but this information for the torque on the screwdriver is extremely helpful! I have written this down, but want to hand crank first. Thanks for all you do!

Hi!!!! I cannot thank you enough for making this video. I'm going to be selling my hats and scarfs this winter at a makers market. I've been working so much that I broke the row counter (sentro machine) and my shoulder and wrist are ready to fall off my arm lol. I'm going to try this. I pray it works as well for me as it does for you 💜

Nice and I love that yarn-but my Sentro does not. I bought an electric adapter that replaces the crank handle. Super easy to switch out-takes just a few minutes. It is through Amazon, and it’s called an Aidiler. I love mine and it works great. It has an on/off switch and you just turn that same small knob to go slower or faster. It has a different type of manual knob that you can also use-all on this adapter. Just plug it in and go.

I love your fast 14 min hat .I bought a sentro a good few months ago .but watching all the great videos are just so helpful everyone does such beautiful knitted items..yes I used my hand .then I saw on her ladys using a drill but medium speed I bought one the other day its a 3.6v $19.95 ..its great but I need to buy a plug in electric cause I have to keep charging it .I'm knitting on machine 74 mtrs long tube for a scrappy yarn blanket for my gransons ..its so enjoyable and different. I'm a crocheter for 33 yrs ..so now I'm going to make my baby granson a quick hat ..thanks for your video..

Yes, using the attachment and a power tool is great. Reading your comment made me realize that I have been crocheting for almost 40 years. Goodness, where does the time go? Thanks for watching Tracy!

Many thanks for the tutorial : hand cranked and pulling out the yarn from inside the skein, 30-35 minutes...w/battery screwdriver, 20 minutes. I lay them aside and finish the hats at night. I've been doing 130-135 rows so I can turn up the bottom to cover ears a second time, will try this beanie next!

I want a hat with that yarn, pretty. I just crank with my arm. I made a reversible hat, trying to remember maybe 45 min. I am liking the Mainstay yarn, bought some today, my daughter wants an infinity scarf. Thanks for the video.

Thanks Maryann. 45 minutes sounds great. Without the electric screwdriver I think it takes me quite a while to make a hat because I take a lot of breaks, lol. I am so glad that you like the yarn. I plan on keeping Mainstays in my stash at all times.

I can crank faster with my hand than the drill. But if the arm gets tired, I switch to the screwdriver. It takes longer to pull and see than crank. 😂
